We had a great time! Thalo was a very good driver and friendly. We had a wonderful time and saw everything we hoped for and more. The food was tasty and the tents were very comfortable. We would definitely recommend Sekanka!

A Tour With My Love !
Sekanka Safari Camps were the highlight of our trip to Botswana. Thalo and his team were extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. The camps were charming and traditional. My husband and I stayed in the Mokoro camp in the Chobe and the tents were spacious, very clean, and comfortable. The food was delicious and plentiful. One evening, we had a home-cooked meal and I had the best steak of my life. The location of the camps were great. We had the opportunity to see a variety of wildlife, including all the big five. We will definitely go back and highly recommend Sekanka Safari Camps.

Best Tours and Costumer Services by Sekanka.
We had a great experience with Sekanka. Thalo and his team were extremely professional and had great knowledge of the Chobe region. They were always on-time and had great communication when we were on the road. Our daughter loved the experience and had many wonderful memories. I highly recommend Sekanka as a top safari company not only for the experience, but for their professionalism and custumer service.

Amazing trip and great value
We traveled with Sekanka to the Delta in early January 2023. Tepo organised everything for us, and was quick to respond to my questions and queries making the planning easy. The price was also very good considering the trip and location. We were taken by Thalo and Lenti into the delta, who treated us very well, the camping and lodging was great. They went above and beyond in our game drives, ensuring the best possible sightings. The only thing we regret is not spending longer with them! Absolutely an amazing trip that we would recommend to anyone.

Great experience & tour w/ local guides.No frills or luxury,incredible wildlife,camping & friendship
Thalo & the rest of the Sekanka Safaris family were amazing guides and friends during my trip to Botswana & the Okavango Delta.
I wanted to tour the area with locals and get a genuine experience. The wildlife game viewing and knowledge was absolutely incredible.
They were great in asking me specifically what I wanted from my trip and catering my itinerary and changing it based on our conversations.
If you’re looking for luxury accommodations this might not be the trip for you.
But if you want a genuine experience with locals camping in the bush this was fantastic.

Unparalleled experience!
Sekanka's team truly delivered their commitment of showing us their home. We had a great time doing safaris with them. Tepo helped us plan this honeymoon trip from Zimbabwe to Botswana. Thanks to his advice, we took our time and stayed in Savuti, Khwai and Moremi for two nights each. We enjoyed every spot we stayed. Savuti gave us the first impression of safari, Khwai provided some unique experience (encountering a lone male hippo in a mokoro is full of surprises), and in Moremi we saw some endangered wild dogs and lions hunting a buffalo.
Lenty is the best guide possible, we couldn't ask for more. He's resourceful and informative and when we thought there were too many surprises, there was yet more to come. Jonath our co-guide was also good company and provided some useful knowledge. Thanks to Diti, our camp assistant, we had comfortable beds and warm water everyday, and even had showers during noon break. Our chef Kelly and Jona, are miracle makers. We even had pizza one day!
We would definitely recommend Sekanka to every friend who wants to go to Africa.

Outstanding experience, exceeded all expectations.
We cannot begin to explain how amazing this Safari company is. The team (Guide - Salani, Chef - Jona and Campsite builder - Diti) were all amazing. Salani's experience and knowledge of the entire Delta and Chobe National Park without a map was nothing short of brilliant. We were also impressed by the level of respect for the animals and their habitat while we carefully observed as tourists. Jona's food was totally delicious and has inspired me to make better lunches at home! Diti's camping set up was fabulous - we slept better in the tent than at the hotel at the end!
I would recommend anyone to go on this Safari, you may regret if you don't.

Amazing safari in Botswana
We booked a guided mid-range safari with Sekanka in early November and we could not be happier with the decision. The tour started in Victoria Falls and went all the way down to Maun in Botswana. We visited Chobe, Elephant Sands, Makgadikgadi Salt Pans, Moremi and Khwai Concession. Overall the tour lasted 10 days and we felt the pacing was good.
Communication with Sekanka was very easy from the start and they addressed all our doubts prior to the beginning of the safari. Once in Botswana, our guide (Talu) took us by car from one place to the next one and also arranged the check-in at the lodges. We had a real good time with Talu and found him to be very knowledgeable about the area and the animals. More than once he stopped in the middle of the road upon seeing an animal to give us the name and bits of information about it.
Overall, we believe the value for money of the safari was very good - the lodges ranged from good to superb and the food was also usually above expectations. We got to see A LOT of animals and bring back home amazing memories (and far too many photos!). I would strongly encourage anyone looking to do a safari in Botswana to contact Sekanka and see what they have to offer - you can't go wrong with them.
Thank you guys!!

Experience, friendly, professional.
Salani and the camp staff are excellent. Cook Jonas made good food for us. Titi, Bone and another person gave us hot water to shower and kept the tent clean. Salani found us lion, zebra. Hyppo, leopard, impala, Kudu, wildbeest, elephants and many birds. When the jeep got stuck in the mud, he knew what to do and got us out of the jam. Before the trip, Tepo and Anna responded to all our questions. We highly recommended this company and will spread the good words to my 2,000+ facebook friends.
4 Day Bush Camping Safari
For my first ever safari, I chose to go with the Sekanka team! Inspired by their lovely website, I was looking for an immersive experience and decided to try the 4 day - 3 nights midrange camping, and boy did I get more than I expected! Into the wild we went, led by our guide, Salani, who's more than 20 years of experience as a tour guide in Botswana came in handy. Driving from Maun, through the Mababe Depression it was elephants galore! The tour guide was gracious to make a few stops along the way, with enough time for pictures but still watching the clock. A lunch stop was included.
Day 1 at the private camp started with an evening drive, a perfect time to spot beautiful wildlife including hippos and zebra. The evening ended with watching a mother hyena feeding her cubs by their den at sunset. Day 2 kickstarted with an early breakfast and game drive, while the animals started their day as well, and already that morning we tracked some naughty lions that had stolen a leopard's meal! That evening we ventured into the waters of the Khwai river on a mokoro, late evening drive including a python sighting too.
The night turned quite bizarre as, around 3am we were awoken by all kinds of roars, howls and hyena laughter - just across our camp was a dead buffalo and the carnivores were feasting! This made for a great morning of Day 3 since we had some visitors who were led by the scent of fresh meat - 3 male lions crossing the river at our campsite! Ofcourse, I didn't expect there to be a live fight for the territory but it is exactly what I got as we witnessed 1 male lion defending himself against 3!! That afternoon, following a day of munching, and sleeping in the hot savanna, we found them still at war not too far from our campsite. Hats off to Salani, our guide who seems to have a sixth sense (and great tracking) for when and where to catch these ferocious cats, and for providing context as to why one of the 3 was heavily scarred and limping. We managed to sleep more somberely that night, as vultures jackals and hyenas had probably done a good job of clearing the left overs.
On our final day we managed to track the 4 lions, who it seems had now made peace and joined forces, on a hunt in the greenery! I was sad to leave but will cherish the excellent experience and incredible memories that Botswana gave me. I got to see 4 of the Big 5 very up close, in their natural habitat! Thanks to Anna and her team for providing a splendid time in the jungle and giving me a new found appreciation for mother nature and the jewel of Africa, Botswana!!
