Truly memorable safari with Sekanka
From the first booking request to our farewell Sekanka Travel were superb. We have been on Safaris before in Kenya and South Africa staying at lodges but a camping safari gives you the very best experience. The camping is comfortable and the sites we stayed at allowed us to be able to be right in the midst of the wild life with the noise of hippos happily wallowing in the river below at Kwai to wake to. Our Sekanka team lead by the fantastic Salani catered for our every need and ensured we saw leopards, lions, hippos, crocs, elephants, giraffes, wildebeest, antelopes, baboons and monkeys. Trips on the water in the Okavanga Delta added to the memorable experience. Too soon we had to say goodbye to our safari team and flown to Kasane for a stay by the Chobe river and next day on to Victoria Falls for more great experiences.

Dream Holiday in Botswana and Zimbawe
We chose Sekanka as the package offered touched exactly all locations we wanted to visit and booked the trip one year prior. We always received very quick and detailed replies for all our questions and really appreciated Sekanka's flexibility and attention to meet our needs. We travelled two weeks through Botswana and Zimbabwe with combined experience Camping and Lodges. Everything was perfect. Lodges well all nice, clean, well organized and also camping in the bush has been an amazing experience: we were spoilt with delicious meals (thank you Kabelo and Number) and felt such a friendly atmosphere!. The Game drives have been amazing (thank you Cief for being our excellent guide and driver) and exciting and totally went over expectations (we saw so many lions!!!!). Also transfer to Zimbabwe was well organized and our stay memorable, also thanks to exciting optional activities organized for us (boat trip, helicopter flight over Vic Falls, walking with the lions). We will never forget this incredible adventure.

Great family vacation with a family run operator
We did the 8 day safari running from Vic Falls to Maun. Great tour with good value.
Everything was very smooth - the time in Vic Falls, transport to the border, followed by the safari through Botswana. The company was flexible in setting it up the way we wanted - lodges and some camping. Camping was smooth and comfortable.
Staff on the safari was great - knowledgeable, careful and focused on making sure we had a good trip.
Communication with the company in advance was smooth. They did need to pivot away from Savuti (to avoid bad roads), but communicated why and made sure the flight from Kasane to Kwai was arranged smoothly.
Would certainly recommend.

Excellent Service
We booked a 9 night lodge safari from Victoria Falls to the Okavango delta. We had a fantastic time and saw lots of amazing wildlife and landscapes. Sekanka Safaris provided excellent service from the first enquiry until we got on our flight home. The lodges were of good quality, the safari experiences were brilliant and our driver Mombati was super helpful. We would not hesitate to recommend Sekanka Safaris to our friends and family.

gorgeous tour
My third trip to Botswana and this time I did it with the family owned Sekanka Safaris.
Directly after arrival in Maun I started with a scenic flight over the Okavango Delta giving a wonderful overview of the landscape.
After 3 days of home accommodation in Maum we flew to Kasane first staying in Waterlily Hotel, a good stay for Chobe Boat Cruises with a small boat (much better than the big ones!) spotting buffalos, crocodils, hippos, giraffes, many birds and elephants bathing and at the end highlighted by incredible sunsets. Next we stay in Pamarah Hotel enjoying the pleasant accommodation, delicious meals and nice service. One day we started an outstanding tour to Victoria Falls, the next day we experienced vulpture feeding, Old Victoria Hotel and the Zambesi River Cruise on the signature deck with extraordinary snacks and drinks which I would really recommend for relaxing after a long day. After these days we enjoyed again the outstanding wildlife in Chobe Bush Camp and Elephant Sands what gave me the most wonderful memories. On our tour back to Maun another highlight was the Meerkat experience in Makgadikgadi salt pan beeing so close to these cute small animals.
Perfect itenery, nice accommodtions and fantastic game drives with experienced guides made this holiday a long lasting memory and it was hard to find back to normal life afterwards.

The company is extremely reliable and I strongly recommend his services.
Sekanka tours
We had a nine days tour from Victoria Falls to Maun in June 2024 with Sekanka Tours.
The weather was great at this time of the year.
The trip was very well organized. Nice accommodation including the quality of the tents with comfort and safety. Good food and excellent guide.
We had the chance to see many kinds of wild animals. Amazing views. Good assistance during the tour planning and flexibility.
The negative aspect to point out is the quality of the both cars used along the expedition. Cars were very old and uncomfortable compared to most of other company's cars we met along the way.
My conclusion is that Sekanka offered us much more than a safari. Actually we were immersed in a great expedition and a unforgettable experience.
The company is extremely reliable and I strongly recommend his services.

Fantastic
Everything was great from the first quote until we sadly had to come home. Anna catered to all my wants and wishes and made a great intinary travelling round victoria falls and Botswana. All the guides were great especially Pepe and Matcha. We were very lucky to be able to see some fantastic sights and animals. Would definitely recommend sekanka for any Botswana trip due to communication, choose your own itinerary and value for money. Time to start saving to go again.

sekanka is a great safari operator
I recently booked a safari with Sekanka and was absolutely thrilled with the experience. They planned and organized the entire tour superbly. I was picked up from the airport in Maun for a 2-day stay. The adventure started with a breathtaking aerial view of the landscape and wildlife from a small plane, followed by a Mokoro tour on the water. Even before entering the Okavango Delta, we had already seen a wide variety of animals.
The 5-day safari through the Okavango Delta to Kasane was a true adventure. We camped for the first few days, and the Sekanka team exceeded all expectations. Nambers and Ilo took care of everything seamlessly, Matcha had an incredible eye for spotting perfectly camouflaged animals, Nametso prepared the most delicious meals in the bush, and Joe ensured we got everywhere safely.
The trip was filled with spectacular wildlife sightings, including lions, elephants, hippos, leopards, and herds of zebras, buffaloes, and wildebeest. In Kasane, we enjoyed water safaris as well. Sekanka also arranged a trip to Zimbabwe to see the stunning Victoria Falls – a truly spectacular sight.
A huge thank you to the entire Sekanka team – I can’t wait to come back!

Organised
We are a retired couple and were looking to get a close-up feel of an African experience at a reasonable cost. Online we discovered Sekanka Travel. The Safari is a 'partnership'. The support staff set up and clean up camp, gather the firewood, prepare wholesome and nutritious food, warm up the water for a hasty private bush shower and lay out the drinks table around the fire for the return of the hard working guests after a game viewing drive or boat excursion.
The eagle eyed guides give expert identification and background information on game, bird life and local flora. Think 'those rocks are actually hippos, that log is a crocodile, the lions eating that hippo killed it last night!'
In tough terrain, mechanical glitches (apparently rare) do happen. Support from head office and a resourceful and resilient crew kept the show close to schedule.
Meet, greet and transfers all went extremely smoothly.
A great adventure, life long memories and a few stories to embellish back home.
Thanks team.
Best experience of my life!
We were on a group of 11 people and spent 9 days traveling across Botswana and Victoria Falls. The trip was truly amazing! We had the itinerary designed specifically for our interests and it was spotless!
The team was truly amazing! The guides were so passionate about animals and what they did. Very knowledgeable and dedicated to showing us the best there was to see out there!
The staff team was super kind, we always found our camp super organized and clean. We appreciated the hot showers and dust free tents a lot. Amazing food, as well. We truly appreciated having meals prepared for our intolerances.
Anna was kind and always available. Recommended!
