Handy, honest and informative
Embark on an unforgettable safari adventure in the iconic Maasai Mara. Traverse the sweeping plains of this legendary reserve, home to the renowned Great Migration. Encounter the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino—in their natural habitat, while expert guides from LA Mara provide fascinating insights into their behavior. Witnessed the drama of predator-prey interactions and the beauty of diverse birdlife. As the sun dips below the horizon, retreated to a luxurious tented camp, where gourmet cuisine and traditional Maasai hospitality await. Awoke to the symphony of the savanna and continue our exploration of this pristine wilderness, where every moment is a masterpiece.

Always goes the extra mile
Lamara Tourism provided an exceptionally personalised service towards making our dream honeymoon. In the run up to our holiday, Willy and the team were super knowledgable and gave good range of options throughout the process. We built a 3 week itinerary including Mt.Kenya, Mara & Tsavo with a drop off in Mombasa before we went onto Lamu.
On draft completion you would get a full PDF write up of each stage of the trip, photos, hotel and what was included.
Whilst on the trip we need a last minute change in itinerary, shifting everyday a day and adding another day in Mara. This was dealt with with minimal effort from our part and completely taken out of our hands, great!
Two areas I think they could have improved on is the consistency of their invoicing which came across slightly unprofessional and raised alarm bells (we got that resolved and all was good - don’t worry!).
Additionally we ended up choosing a couple of the hotels ourself (which is fine), however given that lodge was part of a wider group with multi-nights offers across their locations, we could have benefited from switching other hotels on the route.

Scam! Be very careful with this Company!
I was terribly scammed by Lamara Tourism! I booked a 3 day Masaii Mara fly-in safari which required a deposit of 862 USD. After the deposit was received, they started ignoring my messages once I asked for further details which was the first sign that something was wrong. I then reached out to Mara Serena Hotel where we were supposed to stay but they confirmed they never received any payment from Lamara Tourism and therefore the booking was cancelled. Lamara Tourism is a highly fraudulent company, please avoid them at any cost to avoid a lot of trouble and a loss of money.

Posted on Sep 3, 2024I sincerely apologize for the distressing experience you had with your booking with us, and we understand how frustrating and disappointing this must have been, especially with your safari approaching.
However, we are aware that you brought this issue to our attention almost a month before your safari, and I regret that our communication was not as timely as it should have been. This situation is certainly not reflective of the high standards we strive to maintain at Lamara Tourism and our quality of our safari experiences.
Regarding your request to cancel the booking, we respect your decision and we are ready to initiate the cancellation process. And the first step is usually filling the cancellation form then we process the refund accordingly, which is provided once a formal cancellation is requested.
While we deeply regret that this situation has led you to reconsider your plans with us, I kindly ask that our agents not be intimidated or threatened. We value honest feedback, whether positive or negative, as it helps us improve our services. Your insights into what went wrong are invaluable, and we will be taking steps to ensure that similar issues do not occur in the future.

One stop shop for all for your Kenya safari tours
La Mara Tourism is just the best, their services were just beyond my expectations the tour guides were just amazing knowing the best part of the Jungle to find the animals the Lions which are normally difficult to find during day time as we were told but we were lucky to see them. Maasai Mara is must visit if you want to see the real African junge, & The Nairobi National Park which prides itself as the world's biggest national park within a city is a must do!
Thank you La Mara!
