in one word: superb. GreenHippo made this holiday in a journey that we will remember forever
Pretty late in the year we decided to go to Tanzania for X mas holiday. Nevertheless, GreenHippo Travels managed to arrange accommodation and everything for us despite the full booking at many places. They know exactly what they offer, have the right contacts with the lodges, and knowledgeable rangers and also understood that we were there for our holidays.
With the appropriate dosage, GreenHippo also stressed the importance of preservation of the wild refuge parks and the need to reduce the use and dispense of plastics for instance.
For travellers: don't forget to take along US Dollars as for tourists it is the dominant currency.

When you are in Tanzania than you must go on safari. And Green Hippo and her team are really great.
Very personally what is very important because you are 5 days with there driver.
The service, the surprises, the stories, in relation to value of money is great.

A friendly, reliable and knowledgeable partner
Since we had never been to Tanzania, we were looking for someone who could help us with an idea of itiniary of how we could meet in a ecofriendly way the country, the People and especially the wildlife. Green Hippo Travels provided us with that.
Despite our limited time (just under two weeks) in the country, we had a huge amount of experiences we will never forget. But still Green Hippo found us plenty of relax time; not in Zanzibar but among other with the Masaai. Very fitting for us.

While volunteering here in Tanzania, I was keen to discover more of the country. Going on safari here was high up on my list. I have been on safari in South-Africa before, but this safari was not even comparable to the ones I did there! With the help of Karin and Astrid, we were able to put together a nice trip where I got to see the beautiful nature of the Serengeti, Ngronogoro and Tarangire. This made my experience in this country even more beautiful. Something to never forget!

Excellent services, from day one till the last day of our Safari
We had anunforgettable trip, all thanks to Hippo Travels. despite some initial issues with our flights and luggage, they went above and beyond to resolve everything quickly and efficiently, even it it was not their problems. Our safari experience was nothing short of spectacular. It was just my husband , myself and our incredibly knowledgeable guide, who truly knows the bush. We did not share a vechile with other people. Joel (our guide) stories were captivating, and he ensured we saw everything we wanted. We felt completely safe in his hands throughout the journey. The lodges Hippo travels booked for us were outstanding, and the Maasai hut camp will forever hold a special place in our hearts. This trip was an adventure of a lifetime, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Oh and i must mention money wise a lot cheaper than the other tour operators. Great ideas and service very quick and helpfull we had the best trip ever in Tanzania!
Karin from Green Hippo Travels was the best and a great help for our once in a lifetime trip. We wanted to see the crossing of the migration in the Mara River in the Serengeti. She came with great ideas and beautifull tented camps in Tanzania. Very good value for money she is very reliable and was very quick with the itinerary and we could add everything we wanted till the last minute.
The whole tour of 8 days was fantastic, we had the best driver/guide ever, Silva was so kind and knowledgeable, he has eagle eyes and made this trip even better. Next time we want Silva again he added so much to this great trip. We saw so many animals and birds in Tarangire the crater and Serengeti.
We defiitely want to go again in the future and offcourse with Green Hippo Travels!!
