The communication with Mattaw Safaris was smooth, they booked our hotel & safari game drives perfectly. The service was amazing, the entire staff of tour guides were authentic, knowledgeable, and friendly. Safari Steve was the best! Best safari company doing all they can to make your stay effortless and fun at the same time!
Everything was already set up making a great trip! They handled the transportation to the Mara, lodging, and safari’s. They do all they can to find you the big five, which is hard! Either way you see a lot of animals, in one day we saw a dozen lions and a million other animals. This company really knows what they’re doing to make it a trip to remember for their customers, highly recommended!

Every thing worked out perfectly! Mattaw Safaris exceeded my expectations! While on the tour they were so patient with us when we wanted to take a picture. When we had any questions they were helpful to answer. Seeing a lot of animals up close in the wild can sometimes feel intimidating, but with Mattaw Safaris I also felt very safe.

The best experience I’ve ever had
Mattaw Safaris is literally the BEST in the business!!!! If I could give them 100 stars I would. They helped us find all the animals, even the black rhinos! They didn’t even let the mud, rain, and very deep puddles stop them from showing us around the Mara. HIGHLY recommend mattaw safaris.

Amazing safari
I can only strongly recommend Mattaw safari :
I did a 3 days safari in Masai Mara end of December and everything was great. Despite my very last minute demand and quite complicated weather conditions (heavy rains not normal for the season), Bud was able to organize a fantastic trip. He was very reactive and responsive. In addition, he provided very good advice to adapt my project to weather conditions, which was absolutely not the case of other safari operators, which, by the way, were far more expensive for the same level of sercice. The land cruiser we used, with Charles, my guide, as its driver, enabled us to go where vans were stucked in the mud. Charles did everything he could for me to have a fantastic time. I saw cheetas (2 times!), lions, many girafes and lots of elephants. Landscape and light were wonderful. Thanks to both of you for the beautiful memories !

An amazing experience, going above and beyond to help complete something off our bucket list!!!!
From the initial contact for pricing, Bud was timely and clear in all his communications. As a family of 4 (Mom, Dad, and boy/girl twins 12yrs old) we had some unique requirements. Bud was understanding and help us through the entire process from start to finish. We were blessed to have two drivers ( Charles and Kevin) both were amazing guides and kept all of us entertained while educating us on Kenya and the animals we were seeing. We got to see the Big 5 !! as well as the "Special 5" completing an item from our family bucket list.
We can not speak kindly enough about Bud, Kevin, and Charles, they made us feel like family and we were proud to help support Bud in his other passion.
An example of them going above and beyond is; when we returned back home we discovered that my daughter left her camera in one of the seat pockets of the Land Cruiser (which was lovely and it was so nice to be able to be in the same vehicle every day).
I sent a quick Whatapp to Bud and Kevin who located the camera and had it shipped to us via DHL within a day!!!
We would unconditionally recommend Bud and Mattaw Safaris to anyone looking for an amazing and impactful Kenyan Safari!!!!
