A great experience at a great price
We were picked up in Dar es Salaam right on time, and as scary as Tanzanian drivers can be I never felt concerned because Francis was a very safe driver. When we got to the park, I was amazed at his observational skills. He saw every animal in the park! I was very impressed with his ability to find wildlife and position us for great viewing and photography. He is an expert driver, finding very smooth routes over very rough patches of road. The accommodations were basic but comfortable, the vehicle was very comfortable, and having a roof that could be raised to get a great view in the park but lowered on highways made for a very comfortable trip.
Coming from the United States, being accustomed to paying for everything with a credit card, it was a little uncomfortable handing over a large amount of cash to someone I had never met, but Omar is completely trustworthy, very friendly, and genuinely cared about the customer experience. I still am very impressed with the whole experience.
When I return to Tanzania, I will book another safari with Connect.

Omah made the process of booking our one night safari from Dar es Salaam to Mikumi easy and stress free, accommodating our budget and requirements. Very good communication prior to departure.
Omari, our guide, was absolutely brilliant. He had amazing English and knowledge of the animals, birds, plants and culture. He spotted many animals we would never have seen with our own eyes and was super kind and friendly, making our experience absolutely amazing. He made sure we saw everything possible! Once in a lifetime experience!
Food was also very good!

Amazing safari in Mikumi
We spent 2 days - 1 night in the Mikumi National Park. Planning the trip was very easy, due to Omah who’s very responsive and available. We had the chance to have 2 different guides, Abeil et Innocent. They are both passionate and will provide you all the informations you need to learn about wildlife. Many thanks to them. We spotted many animals because both of our guides are communicating with their friends to make sure you’ll see everything is needed. Mikumi is a small park that gives you many more opportunities to see animals, even lions. Highly recommand !

Amazing team
I am so glad that I booked with those guys! Everybody we had contact with was open minded, friendly and always in a good mood. The price was that cheap that I was worried at the beginning. Also all the 5 star recommendations made me skeptical - but now I know why! They have the beste price, the best guides and the best safari trucks! Our guide knew a lot of the behaviors of the animals so that we spotted a lot of lions. We always had good and enough food and drinks during the journey!

Outstanding service and communication
We were to visit Dar on a Holland American cruise ship with an overnight stay. Our ship would not be able to let passengers off until around 11am. Other tour operators would only start a tour earlier, around 7 or 8 am. Connect Africa accommodated our schedule. We started with a group of 2 and ended up with a group of over 20 from the ship for a 2 day one night safari. The schedule and value was too good for people to pass up.
The drive to the park was longer than expected but we were happy to see the country side and the villages along the highway. The vehicles were comfortable and spacious. Some of the group had been on longer safaris in the past and even they were happy with this one.
The lodging was excellent, much better than expected. The included meals were good. Anyone going to Tanzania should check this company out and book with them.

Honest, reliable, and committed to providing a decent service.
Omar, the owner of Connect African Safaris really gives the personal touch. From being in constant contact over Whatsapp, accepting payment via the secure DPO payment method, and even meeting in person after the safari wanting to find improvements/weaknesses in his tours, Omar really cares. He provided Moody (Mohammed) as our driver, who himself is a never ending driving machine! Also very knowledgeable and takes you into the deepest corners to find the animals, even when they're in their hiding spots.
I would highly recommend Omar and Connect African Safaris.

Very eager to fulfil all wishes and well organised.
We were very happy with our trip and were glad we booked with Connect African Safaris. They were very helpful and looked to tailor everything to us beforehand, making the programme just the way we wanted it. They even picked us up directly from the airport and then brought us back to the ferry as well and helped us with organisations for tickets! 2 small things that could be improved are: We were already picked up from the airport with the car for the safari (because we landed very late and drove directly to the national park). Unfortunately, the car did not have air conditioning and was not too comfortable - this could perhaps be arranged differently. And it would have been great to have a guide with us who could also explain some of the surroundings, the country etc. Otherwise, I can only say it was TOP - our driver knew his way around Mikumi National Park, we saw a lot of animals and very close to them, and our accommodation was clean and nice.
We can only recommend Connect African Safaris!

Competent, professional and trustworthy tour operator
We would like to thank Halima for organising our tour so well. She was with us all the way from contacting us through the booking process and even on the trip, making sure we were comfortable and able to enjoy the safari to the full. She was always attentive, professional and extremely welcoming. I'm sure the other staff at Connected African Safaris are also very good, but we can highly recommend Halima. Super great organized safari! The staff went above and beyond to meet our needs. Would def reccomend
The safari tour was really well organized, everything has been taken care of: game drives, accomodations, food. We did a private safari and our driver did everything according to our wishes and needs. We saw amazing animals from super close, had nice lunch in the nature and we also liked staying at Camp Bastian: It was clean and the food was delicious. We would highly reccomend Connect African Safaris to anyone!
