Reliable, knowledgeable, capable and affable!
5/5

I have had the good fortune of being guided and driven by George Mbaula of Inland Africa Explorers twice now, both times in the capacity of joint photography-expedition leader, and I can honestly say it’s hard to think of what could be better in their planning and service! They are simply the best people, totally in touch with the field realities, with years and years in the bush, to handle your dream Tanzanian vacation or photo tour in the Serengeti Ecosystem.

On both my visits I was assisted expertly by them to plan the itinerary to optimise our time in the various locations. All local bookings were made by them in perfect consonance with our needs, and there was absolutely no hassle or last-minute surprises. Right from meet-and-greet to the moment of departure, their naturalist team was the epitome of punctuality, cordiality and professionalism. And best of all, they have a clear understanding of a photographer’s needs, which are the most demanding of any visitor’s, because it means early starts, perfect vehicle positioning and long hours in the field, all of which George’s team carried out cheerfully, with never a no and always a smile on their lips. Their unending energy and enthusiasm to keep toiling all day for the benefit of their guests with unending patience is truly exemplary. What’s more, they’d even clean the safari vehicles at lunchtime, while the guests took a breather!

All this is topped by their intimate knowledge of the bush and its wildlife, and passion for showing it to tourists and saving it for posterity.

I could go on but in the interest of brevity, I will sign off by saying that some of my fondest days in Africa have been spent in Ndutu, being taken around by George and his team amid the animals you can be sure they love as much as I ever could, and unwinding in the evenings with a beer reflecting on what a wonderful world it indeed is.

Unforgettable memories and images
5/5

Although it was in 2007 the whole family keeps amazing souvenir of these days in Tanzania.
Our family travelled around With Georges : Arusha, Lake manyara, Ngorongoro, Serengeti north and south, Tarangire.
All these moments are so unforgettable and remain so present that they frequently raise up during our conversations.
Early morning safaris, the great migration, observation of the animals, very close of them. Georges has a perfect know-how to take the best profit to access the multiple situations that let you deeply dive in the wildlife. It's exectly why you are there.
Our children were around 10 to 15 years old, and it's also important to say that we always felt secured. I remember we had to face a car breakdown in Ngorongoro that was solved by replacing it in such a fluent manner in the evening that we could have been unaware of this.
We brought back in, France not only around 1500 photos that are still being frenquently watched today but mainly a unique experience that found no equivalence anywhere else.
We keep in touch with Georges all over these years as he is not only a high skill tehnician of safaris but such a super fine kind of guy you never forget.
We plan to go back.

See Africa through George's eyes
5/5

We were lucky enough to have George Mbaula for our guide on our 2 week Tanzania photo safari. He is very knowledgeable about his environment and his ability to locate wildlife and then put you in the best place to see them is exceptional. As birdwatchers we were very impressed with his avian knowledge. George, also, has a likability factor that will make you feel very comfortable and at ease in your surroundings. Africa is a must see experience - add George to the mix to maximize it.

Overwhelms our imagination
5/5

We planned our safari tour a year in advance. Then I crashed on a bike but we did the tour anyway. We were nervous for the challenge it could be but George's excellent skills made the trip to the most memorable event we ever could dream of. He took us so close to the animals in an gently respectful manner and teaching us at the same time. I do strongly recommend that if you go on safari, go with George.

I booked tour with Rainbow (Polish tour operator). We had safari in Kenia and Tanzania. During the safari in Tanzania George was our driver and tour guide. His English is perfect. George is super nice and creates friendly atmosphere. Each day we heard a lot of interesting facts about animals, plants and culture. He always knew answer to our questions :) George has great experience that he uses to find best spots for animal observation.

Wonderful person and best guide for safari, good human being
5/5

By the time we reached Kilimanjaro International Airport it was late in the night and so also Sudhir, but George and his team were there to pick us up and bring us to the Hotel in Arusha. For the next 8 days, till we completed the safari, did some shopping in Arusha and tasted some local food and drinks they were with us. They really took care of us throughout. While In Arusha, Baltazary Tenga we used to call him B2 took us around to several local places to taste the food and drinks . The arrangements for the safari were very good and we thoroughly enjoyed the five-day safari rides with plenty of water and beer. Had some very good sightings and some great pictures. George has a wonderful team and he himself is an experienced guide and wildlife expert. While on safari rides George engaged us with information about Tanzania and the different tribes of Tanzania and interesting stories of Serengeti, Ngorongoro. He is well informed and knowledgeable. He also took us to base camp of Mount Kilimanjaro. This is one company where the travellers who want to enjoy safari can rely upon and tie up with them. I am indeed looking forward for my next trip including Masai Mara with the same company. I strongly recommend to anyone to take up with George and his company. Thank you, George and his team, for a wonderful life time experience. Planning to come out with a coffee table book on the trip. The trip to Serengeti & Ngorongoro is a must for wildlife enthusiasts. I being a professional Forester thoroughly enjoyed the safari.

The best tourist guide we have ever had, kind, patient with deep knowledge of the subject
5/5

George Mbaula was our guide and also the owner of the tour operator. He has very deep knowledge of Serengeti. He doesn't need any tech toys to guess where we can find certain animals.

I have never seen so many wild animals in my life in one single forest. It is an experience which is difficult to describe in words.

Also, he took extreme care of our food requirements (vegetarian).

I would definitely contact George if I were to return to Serengeti.

The service is excellent, and the parks are all various with many lions, girafes, zebras, hipo, gnous, elelephants and small animals also as cervals, genettes etc...the land is peacefull. The timing is ok and lodges are fantastics. The change money is complicated to manage, dollar is better small change.

Greatest Experience of a lifetime
5/5

I went with a group of 8 people. George was our guide for 9 full days. Everything was planned for 4 full safari days in Tanzania and volunteering at The Zakari School. The accommodation and food were excellent. The volunteering was such a fabulous heartwarming experience. George and Hillary even had a talk with the kids about being a guide and gave them a ride in the safari trucks.
George and Hillary each have 20 years of experience, and they are very knowledgeable, informative, and funny. I always felt safe, and they know the Serengeti so well. Being on safari with such great guides made the experience one in which I was in awe of each and every day. I hope to come back again; and I would contact George to be our guide.
