The best tour company
We did a 3-day, 2-night safari with Safari Update Travels to Masai Mara. They are awesome. They were very friendly and accommodating. They put us in a nice camp and the driver went out of his way to help us spot a ton of animals in the park. (The only one we didn't see was the rhino, but that's hard to spot in the Mara anyways). He even helped us park the car in a way that allowed us to take nice selfies with the animals! Safari Update Travels made my trip to Kenya one to remember!

Excellent First Time Experience!
We booked the 5 day, 4 night safari and everything about it was fantastic. We had never been to Africa and I was a bit clueless as what to book and for how long etc but after a simple email to Silas who works in the office, he just asked for some rough dates and duration and tailor made a safari for us that took a night in Amboseli, a night at Lake Naivasha and then 2 nights in Masai Mara.
Our guide/driver, Simon, picked us up and was truly exceptional. His knowledge and help were spot on and we only felt like we weren't asking him enough! He told us all about the Kenyan culture, tribes, history and of course everything about the wild and animals we saw.
We opted for standard accommodation and it was amazing. The camps/lodges we stayed at were really nice, all with pools, good showers and great facilities - a bar :)
No complaints whatsoever and fully recommend Safari Update Travels and Simon our guide."

Well done Safari Update!
We were nervous about going through a foreign company, but in the end we were really glad we did. Not only does the money get invested in the country and goes to the people who actually need it, but Safari Update Travels gave us a fantastic experience.
We dealt with Silas from the office and he was patient and prompt. Our first stop was at Tsavo West where we had a guide, James, who was excellent and we were sad to see him go when we switched parks. I would definitely recommend James.
Safari Update Travels also took care of the little things, like a transfer from the airport to our hotel and then to the restaurant Carnivore - our package also included a prepaid dinner at Carnivore which was a nice surprise to finish off the Safari.
I have no hesitation recommending Safari Update Travels and am working on my parents to use them when they travel to Africa. Well Done!!!

The Perfect Safari!
I wanted a private jeep short safari, I definitely got it.
Driver: Simon was a great driver and very resourceful - He had great experience with the park and respected how close to get.
Company: Silas and Xavier were excellent to deal with my questions plus they have an easy online payment system.
Accommodation: Is obviously as per the particular type you choose (low, mid, high). Our mid range was pretty cool, considering peak season.
Masai Mara National Park: awesome, saw big 5 plus herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo. Whilst I had read about this I honestly didn't think I would see all of this on my first safari.
Overall - perfect safari.

Loved the trip and reception
I was very nervous about booking with a local company. I found Safari Update Travels based solely on TripAdvisor reviews and I am so happy we did!
Safari Update Travels took care of all of the details of our trip. They had someone meet us at the airport and take us to our hotel in Nairobi (Best western plus Hotel - excellent). Early the next morning, Silas was at the hotel to finalize everything and so was James, our guide throughout (took us back to the airport at the end of our trip). We spent a day and night at Lake Nakuru at the Sarova Lion Hill Lodge (beautiful) and then the next 2 nights at Ashnil Mara Game Camp (perfect location and spectacular accommodations). Everyone told us Lake Nakuru was the appetizer and the Masai Mara was the main dish. They were right. We are so glad we chose the places we did, especially since we had limited time.
James was amazing! He is so knowledgeable, and the love he has for the Mara and all of the animals makes it even more enjoyable. We traveled with our family friends, and we all loved the trip!

Best Safari Experience!
Every day was brilliant, from the moment our extremely knowledgeable guide Simon picked us up at the Keekorok airstrip, to 3 days later when he saw us back onto the plane. Keekorok Lodge was exactly what we wanted. Wonderful surroundings and truly excellent food. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.
The safari tour was superb. I counted 22 different animals which included a lion and about twenty lionesses, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, crocodiles, hippos, hundreds of herd animals and other creatures. One highlight was watching a leopard up a tree with its latest kill.
Best of all was the time spent with our guide Simon. He was superbly informed and an excellent communicator. He gave us a privileged insight into Masai culture and wisdom.
All the arrangements worked really well with Silas and Linsel at the Nairobi office organising everything smoothly. Silas was quick to respond to questions and assistance and that was much appreciated as this was my first time doing this.
Thank you to all involved.

Best Safari Adventure
We contacted Silas at Safari Update Travels about a 4 nights and 5 days tour of the Masai Mara, Sweetwater and Lake Nakuru in an attempt to photograph the big 5. James was assigned as our guide. I can say that James worked as hard as any human could in order to help us experience the best safari adventure. His knowledge of the Masai was highly invaluable. His contacts and networking with various people throughout the park was impressive. We were able to obtain great photos of each of the animals we were hoping to see in 4 days. We will be returning and definitely using Safari Update Travels to provide our tour with James as our guide. We would highly recommend Safari Update Travels

Wonderful Wildlife Experience
An Amazing Experience in all it's forms. Our Guide Simon is actually a Masai, he made our trip exceptional with his continuous caring and drive to show us the best. The tribes are interesting to meet and see as well.
The Wildlife experience was breathtaking, it felt like we were in a Lion King Movie.
The trip was so organized and safe, the lodge was comfortable as well with good food.
Definitely if you think of taking a trip don't think twice, book with Safari Update Travels.

Perfect Honeymoon
My husband and I had a wonderful honeymoon with Safari Update Travels. I largely appreciated that everything was organized on the front end, and continued to be organized once in Africa. Our guides were informative, patient, and flexible. Three out of the four lodges that we stayed in were absolutely wonderful. They made our honeymoon one to remember. We wanted extra arrangements and Linsel who works with Safari Update made sure we got exactly what we wanted. I would highly recommend Safari Update Travels to friends and will likely travel with them again. Thanks!
