TERRIBLE TOUR
1/5

I would first like to say that this was the worst tour company I could have ever taken. The tour guide Audence picked me up and off the bat had an attitude. He didn’t introduce himself, or seem
Enthusiastic at all, as I expect a tour guide to be. The tour
Company
Lies on the itinerary, I was supposed to do a few things that I didn’t get to do on the first day because Audence who was the tour guide thought that it wouldn’t work for him. In turn I didn’t get to do one activity towards the end, and other activities felt rushed because they weren’t done on the first day. I mentioned this issue to Elvis, who is the owner of the
Company but nothing seemed to have changed for the rest of the trip. The tour guide was not informative on any
Of the important sites we visited. He didn’t provide any information, only just pointed out the “names” of them. As we went to these historic sites, I had to google most information.

In addition to this, the company and the owner failed to mention that none of the accommodations provided had air conditioning or a fan. I mentioned this to Elvis and he acted as if he didn’t know, but when I asked the hotel they informed me that this has always been the case for that specific hotel. As we were driving throughout Uganda and Rwanda, I asked Audence many times about stopping to get something to eat, but we drove non stop from place to place.
This tour was a dreadful experience. Having to deal with a guide who had an attitude, and is uninformative shouldn’t be a guide at all. The company lies and should not even be taking any customers.
From the lies, to the unprofessionalism this was by far one of my worst experiences traveling 7 countries in Africa. Uganda and Rwanda are both beautiful countries, but I urge you to choose another tour operator with more reviews than this company has.

Dear Madjula Tague,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your recent tour with us. We are genuinely sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations.

We apologize for the negative impression left by our tour guide, Audence. All our guides are fully trained, certified, and hold annual licenses from the Wildlife Authority. They also undergo regular refresher and customer experience training to ensure they provide professional, enthusiastic, and informative service. We regret that this was not reflected in your experience and will address this matter directly with Audence to prevent it from happening again.

Regarding the itinerary, we strive to provide all activities as stated. Our records show that all planned activities were conducted. The visit to the presidential museum was a complimentary activity done during the city tour, which you chose to decline when we offered on the last day. We regret any confusion this may have caused and will work on improving our communication to ensure all guests are aware of their options.

Regarding the informational aspect of the tour, our guides often allow rangers and site-specific tour guides to take the lead in providing detailed information to ensure you receive the most accurate and comprehensive insights. We apologize if this was not clearly communicated and led to any confusion. We will reinforce this practice in our communication to future guests to ensure a seamless experience.

Your feedback about meal stops is important to us. We understand the need for regular breaks, and we will remind our guides to be more attentive to these needs to ensure comfort throughout the tour.
We appreciate your feedback as it helps us improve our services. If you would like to discuss this further, please do not hesitate to contact us directly. We hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a much better experience in the future.
Sincerely,
Elvis

Fast to respond, great guide. Some miscommunications which were resoled.
4/5

Booking through Lulu Safaris was quick and easy. They were available on whatsapp which really helped in fine tuning the details. They amended a 3 day tour to become a 2 day tour to fit what we wanted to do and amended the price appropriately. Our guide picked us up from Entebbe airport and was friendly and spoke good English. He was a very good and safe driver, even on very challenging wet muddy steep roads. We did get lost on the first day trying to find our hotel as it was one our guide had not been to before, but this was managed appropriately. Nice accommodation included.
We were taken to gorilla trekking which was a fantastic experience and our guide collected us after this and took us to Lake Bunyonyi. Our guide contacted the accommodation my friend and I had booked and organised a boat for us to pick us up from the drop-off point which was really helpful.
Our itinerary had included all 3 meals on our final day but Lulu Safaris stated this was an error and dinner was not meant to be included. They did eventually resolve this and paid the hotel we were going to an amount to cover the majority of our dinner which felt like a reasonable resolution to an error on their part.

Lulu Safaris helped with our arrangements for a trip to Murchison Falls National Park. The safari vehicle was very comfortable and perfect for us to enjoy the game drive plus a visit to the top of the falls.
The guide was very knowledgeable plus the communication was very good from the planning stages throughout the entire trip.

Thank you Elvis & team for the great service.

Fantastic experience
5/5

Smith was such a great guide; professional, knowledgeable and accommodating.

We booked a customized 2-day trip, with one day gorilla trekking (2 nights at a lodge). Initially we didn’t have much planned for the drive there and back, but Smith organized activities on the way such as the Batwa village, stopping at a tea plantation, the local market and a stop at a local restaurant.

We had such a great time throughout; and the Gorilla trekking was absolutely amazing (one of the coolest things I have ever done).

The cultural experiences on the way were also interesting, and Smith really made the experience feel personal (we even got to meet his parents). We felt really well cared for!

Strongly recommend booking the trip with Smith! We just wish we could have stayed longer…

Complete, attentive and caring
5/5

My mum and me traveled around Uganda for 10 days. From the day 1, our guides Samuel and Simon were the most attentive guides we could ever ask for. The trip was flexible so that we could fulfil our expectations despite very very few encounters with the heavy rain expected during this month. Nonetheless, we enjoyed so much our trip. It didn't only meet our expectations but overcome them.

Of note, it was my birthday the first day of the tour, and they even got me a cake. This is a small sample about how sweet they were.

There was a bit if miscommunication about what we thought it was planned and what it was actually planned for us, but our guides made everything possible so that we could actually enjoy all the activities we had in mind.

We not only enjoyed but also learnt a lot about the animals we encountered. And also let's not forget about birds, which were among the main characters of our trip and about which our guides knew so much.

I would definitely recommend to visit Uganda, it is indeed the Pearl of Africa, and also, Lulu Safaris to show you the treasures among its land.

Fantastic tour and amazing experience
5/5

We booked a 2-day gorilla trekking experience with Lulu Safari. Elvis made the booking process easy and efficient. We maintained communication over the months leading up to the safari and he patiently responded to my random questions and eased my concerns more than once ;)

The day of the tour, our guide Smith was prompt to pick us up from the hotel in Kigali. He was friendly, warm and welcoming from the moment he introduced himself. The drive was long but he offered so much information about the culture, stopped for photos and always asked if we needed a break. He was accommodating and entertaining throughout the drive and it was appreciated. He was an advocate for us in immigration and got us through the line and process quickly.

The gorilla trek accommodations and permits were all pre-arranged for us by Lulu Safari and the process was seamless. The gorilla experience itself was absolutely amazing!

Based on my experience, I highly recommend Lulu Safari and suggest asking for Smith as your guide!

Enthusiastic, knowledge, fun tour
5/5

We did the 4 day gorilla and golden monkey trek tour through Rwanda and Uganda with Lulu Safari and were lucky enough to get Smith as our tour guide. Smith had the best energy throughout and was always ensuring that we were having the best tour we could and he would do anything to make sure of it. I would recommend both lulu safari and Smith to anyone travelling to Africa in the future if you’d like to have a fun, enjoyable informative time.
