Unforgettable Honeymoon
We had an amazing 8-day kenia safari (Masai Mara, Nakuru, Naivasha and Amboseli).
We doubted for a long time if we should book with a local party or with an established party in our own country (Netherlands), because local parties are really hard to find. However even before we booked the safari the communication was really fast en good!
After this safari there is no doubt whatsoever! Explorers wild adventures gave us an unforgettable and affordable honeymoon experience. Very good value for your money en trustworthy organisation!
We had our private safari with Zach as guide/driver. In the week time we saw all the amazing animals (even the whole big 5) and had a lot of fun with Zach. He was the perfect guide for us. He was relaxed and really funny (nice jokes), had good knowledge about the places and animals and we felt immediately very comfortable with him.
Anyone who is still doubting, we would advice to book a safari with Explorers Wild Adventures!

Helpful and informative
Did the six day trip through Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Amboseli in mid/late September 2025.
Our driver/guide was David. He has 19 years experience. He was fantastic, knowledgeable and made a true effort to try and get us to see all of the animals especially the ones that take effort to find - lions, cheetahs, leopards and hyenas. Unfortunately, we did not see leopards on our trip, but not from a lack of trying and one unfortunate incident of another driver accidentally honking their horn and scaring a visible one away. He encourages you to ask any and all questions you have about the wildlife, the country, the people or anything else you are curious about. If we were going to be late getting back to a lodge, he would call them to make them aware so they kept supper out for us or vice versa if we had an early start he would see if the restaurant could maybe open just a little bit earlier so we could get food. There was never a shortage of bottled water to drink.
I started planning this trip back in November 2024. I found this company on Tripadvisor. They were highly rated and all the comments were positive. Johann, their sales team leader, was always prompt and answered all of my emails within 24 hours and the only reason they took that long was due to time differences. He is very prompt, answers all questions, and he even helps makes suggestions on where to stay, why to get a jeep instead of a van, the different payment options, etc.
I would/will use them again if I ever go back to see some new parks or try to find the leopard again. I would also suggest them to any of my family or friends if they were planning a trip.

6 Days Safari
Our six-day safari began in Nairobi. Our driver and guide, Peter, picked us up from our hotel and set off on a wonderful adventure. We visited four national parks, covered many kilometers, and saw a vast array of animals and birds. Everything was perfectly organized. Our driver, Peter, was wonderfully prepared, always punctual, and extremely knowledgeable about the animals and their habits. Without going into detail, we highly recommend this company, and especially our guide, Peter! Excellent service and definitely recommended for everyone.

Exceptional package and service!
This was one of the best vacation packages we had. The tour driver Sammy was exceptional. He went out of the way to show us wild animals very close as possible in Masai Mara! He was the first one to reach prime spots and he was extremely knowledgeable! Great accommodation, food and exceptional service! Pricing also was extremely reasonable! Highly Recommended operator for Kenya safari vacation!!

Very enjoyable Safari Trip
Our guide over our 6 day safari was excellent. Very professional and knowledgeable and guided us to view all animals in the safari parks. Organisation of the tour was good and everything was delivered as promised. The food was very good overall, some lodges better than others. Our accommodation was very good and we were satisfied overall although some lodges were much nicer than others. The Nakuru Sopa lodge was exceptionally good, however, the Sopa Mara Lodge was dated and could do with renovation. I would not recommend the optional tours and activities as they did not represent good value for money.

Amazing experience with Explorers Wild Safari
We travelled in June 2025 and had an amazing experience with Explorers Wild Safari from start to finish. Johann was very helpful and put together a competitive customised package to meet our requirements. Communication throughout with the company was very clear and hassle-free. The final arrangements were exactly as we were promised and we had a wonderful guide, David, who was very knowledgeable and took efforts to make our whole experience very enjoyable. I have already recommended them to my friends and wouldn't hesistate to use them again!

Very reliable
From the planning stage to the actual trip, the service was excellent. I really appreciated the time the sales person took to answer all my questions in detail—it made the planning process much easier and helped set our expectations clearly.
Our guide and driver, George, was outstanding. He was professional, knowledgeable, and went out of his way to satisfy our curiosity about the wildlife and the ecosystem. His expertise made our game drives truly enjoyable and educational.
We also loved experiencing Kenyan hospitality—everyone we met at the lodges and camps was warm, friendly, and welcoming. The food throughout the trip was excellent as well.

Amazing safari experience!
We did a 8 day safari with Wild Explorers to Masai Mara and Amboseli. The company was easy to communicate via email and WhatsApp and organised our trip seamlessly.
Our guide was David who picked us up from Nairobi airport and stayed with us as our driver and guide the whole time. David was superb, a very skilled driver and animal spotter!! He was tireless, enthusiastic and drove us around all day, to try and get us to witness the migration, a river crossing, big cats and a kill. We would wholeheartedly recommend Wild Explorers and David!!

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Do Not Recommend
We had an awful experience with Explorers Wild Adventures and cannot recommend this company.
The safari vehicle they provided was completely unfit for purpose, which caused us to miss an entire game drive — one of the main reasons we booked this trip. When we raised the issue, the company admitted fault and promised to refund the park fees for the day we lost. Months later, despite repeated follow-ups, we have still not received our refund and they are now ignoring our messages.
A safari is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and the lack of professionalism, poor communication, and failure to deliver what was promised ruined what should have been a highlight of our trip to Kenya. There are many reputable operators in Kenya — avoid this one if you want reliability, honesty, and a properly run safari.

We deeply apologize for the vehicle breakdown on the first day and the inconvenience caused by the wait for the replacement vehicle. As soon as we received the report from your driver-guide, a replacement was dispatched promptly, and you were able to proceed with your journey that same day, including enjoying lunch en route. Please rest assured that our vehicles undergo thorough inspections after every safari to ensure they are mechanically sound. Unfortunately, this was an unforeseen and rare occurrence something that can happen to any safari company and we truly regret that it affected the start of your trip.
Regarding the missed evening game drive in the Masai Mara, we understand your concern. However, upon reviewing the matter with your driver-guide, he reported that you requested to go directly to the lodge to rest, as you told him being tired from a previous city tour in Nairobi. Given that there was ample time to arrive for the evening drive, your guide respected your request. To ensure you still enjoyed a full safari experience, we instructed him to extend your game drives on the second day to compensate for the missed activity.
With regard to the park entry fees, kindly note that these are paid in advance to the park authorities and were non-refundable at the time you were requesting for the refund, which is why we were unable to process the refund you requested.
We also note that during your safari you did not raise any issues regarding the lodges or your driver-guide, and we are pleased that the remainder of your trip went smoothly without further concerns.
While we have had the privilege of hosting hundreds of travelers who have left us positive reviews, we truly regret that certain aspects of your safari did not meet your expectations. Please know that your feedback is extremely valuable to us, and we will continue working hard to ensure every guest enjoys the best possible safari experience.
