Fantastic 2 day Nyerere safari
As a solo traveler I was a bit nervous that there would not be options available to me (especially at a reasonable price) but huge shoutout to Winnie who held my hand through the process including when some flight issues meant I had to shorten from 3 days to 2. Isaya was an amazing guide as others have noted and we made the most of the shortened time. Would note that drive to Nyerere from Dar was only around 4 hours each way as I saw some sources mentioning a much longer transit time. The road isn’t great but wasn’t as bad as I had feared.

Kihindo holidays represent true Tanzania
I had an unforgettable experience with the Kihindo holiday. My tour guide Isaya has gone above and beyond of my expectations. As I travelled with two young little children I was first very anxious about the whole trip. But Isaya made the journey and safari experience so pleasant and unforgettable from the moment I landed in Tanzania till the end of my trip. We saw plenty of animals in Mikumi National Park within a very short period of time. ISAYA has extensive knowledge about ecology and game drive. He answered an uncountable amount of questions asked by my two little kids with always a smile on his face. I highly recommend this tour guide and I can assure you that you will be in safe hands. Breathtaking experience
We had an unforgettable trip to Tanzania, within one day we had the chance to see a lot of animals in Mikumi-Nationalpark.
We booked the safari online, but everything went super uncomplicated, the service of Kihindo tours was outstanding, they helped and supported us with everything. Especially our Tourguide Godfrey was amazing. We could not imagine anyone better! He enriched our tour on a friendly basis with a lot of interesting knowledge and humor.

Amazing 3-day Safari in Nyerere Nationalpark
Me and my friend booked the 3-day safari in Nyerere (Selous) Nationalpark with a boat Safari, Game Drive and Walking Safari. The tour was amazing and we got the chance to see a lot of animals. We saw the 4 animals out of the Big Five, that are living in the Nationalpark. Out Tourguide Isaya was great, he knows the place really well and showed us so many animals, explained a lot about them and tried to give us an unique experience. Most of the time we were completely alone with the animals. Only for the lions, there were a lot of other cars, but that’s because everyone would love to see them so the guides communicate with eachother in case one finds them.
The accommodation was great as well and everyone is super friendly. The food was really good, for the whole day game drive they gave us a lunch box, which was a full meal.
To summarize, this tour is definitely worth it and I would book it again! Especially our tour guide Isaya was amazing and I would love to do a Safari with him again. You will see a lot of animals for sure, while not disturbing them too much.

what can I say about this wonderful experience?! It was perfect from start to finish
From the moment I reached out to Kihindo Tours for a spontaneous/last minute safari booking, I knew I’d made the right choice. Winnie was great with communication, helping me choose the right options and even recommending a great hotel in Dar es salaam in my price range for before/after the safari.
Gaston my guide was fabulous. I learned so much and he went above and beyond to ensure that I got the most out of the 2 night/3 day tour to Nyerere National Park. The Lodge was peaceful, service and food 5 star. Considering how many options there are for safari tours/operators, I’m so glad I chose kihindo based on the reviews. They’ve got amazing reviews for a reason!
