Excellent Safari Experience
I had an amazing experience with Kihindo Company right from the start. After I filled out the inquiry form on SafariBookings website, they got back to me within minutes by WhatsApp, setting a positive tone for what was to come. The team took their time to explain different safari options, helping me choose the best one for my interests.
The information provided before the trip was clear and detailed, making preparation easy. The pickup and organization were flawless, and our guide, William, was outstanding. He was polite, knowledgeable, and made our safari experience special.
The food throughout the safari was great, offering a good taste of local cuisine. Our stay at Bastian Camp was exceptional, providing comfortable and authentic accommodation that enhanced our experience.
Visiting Mikumi National Park was a highlight, thanks to the rich wildlife and beautiful scenery. I'm grateful to Kihindo Company for a fantastic safari experience. We Started on May looking for a travel agency to receive some quote for our private safari. We had done a safari private in 2018 and 2019 in Tanzania visiting Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire but this time We would to visit the parks of sud Tanzania.
We received some quote from some agengy but the first who wrote to us also a whatsapp and follow us in our request very rapid it Was Winnie from kihindo Tours and Safaris.
We asked a lot of changings to find the right compromise with our budget.
When we reached The airport in Dar es salam We met Winnie and Willy (our Guide and driver) We started for our private safari and at the beginig everithing went going well.
First Park, Mikumi, second Ruaha, in the second park we got stuck for mud for 2 hour (it was raining season) but our guide was very smart, keep calm and solved a problem with help of ranger's park.
We changed our plan about the 3 park (Nyerere) because we knew that it was very difficult to drive about raining.
We asked to Winnie by whatsapp if was possible and in a bit time we find the good solution to us, so we came back to Mikumi National park.
It was the right choise, the safari was execellent, we saw a lot of animals and birds and our Guide was very smart, brilliant. We can say for sure Thanks to Willy if we saw a lot of animals, includind Lions and Leopards. (that we Know are very very difficult to see)

We can say for sure that if we came back to Tanzania, we already know wich will be our safari's agency.

Fantastic, friendly, organised and great value for money!
We were a group of 4 friends looking for an affordable and diverse safari which Kihindo tours managed to organise and execute perfectly. We had a private car and our driver-guide Wiliam was on point with everything: he was informative, funny, professional, spotted lots of animals, managed to get the car through slippery dirt roads and complied to our many bushtoilet stops. We did a combination of Mikumi&Nyerere NP which needed an adapted schedule due to the recent rainfall, but nevertheless we had 4 fantastic days of which seeing 4 of the big five was a highlight! The food was tasty and more than enough, the lodge in Nyerere was beautiful, and sleeping inside Mikumi park was fun. Would recommend Kihindo to everyone wanting to maximise their safari time for a great budget. Winnie from the office was a great help organising it too, and if you get Wiliam to accompany you, you can prize yourself lucky!

Service was really god and our guide was friendly, competent and helpful in every way possible
We were on four day Mikumi and Udzungwa mountains tour, service and our guide were amazing and also accommodation was really nice in quite and calming environment. Mikumi national park was not crowded and filled with game and other animals.

King of Safari
We went to Nyrere and Mikumi National parks and both were great but Nyrere was my favourite because it was so dense with animals and looked more like Safaris in the movies and even exceeded my expectations. Btw I am not sure if we missed any animals, because we saw it all, even leopard which are difficult to spot. We had an unforgettable Safari experience thanks to our guide William. The experience was so great that we named him Sir William King of Safari and even bought him a crown to thank him for our incredible memories he was a part of :D William was patient with all of our needs and wishes, ghought us a lot about Tanzanian culture, animals and Africa overall.
Communication with all of the staff that we got in contact with was nice and respectful, they took great care of us. Definitely recommend the company and will book it for future trips. Very happy with our holiday!

What an incredible safari trip! Communication for planning it was smooth, our guide Mike was amazing, great driver, knew how to handle every situation, and full of information to share about the animals which were really close, bastion hotel was really good with delicious food, even the rain didn’t bother us.

Informative safari experience that exceeded my expectations
The safari exceeded all my expectations. I got a lot of information of the nature, animals and the wild life overall. I was lucky to see all the animals that can be seen in Mikumi. Also, my guide Wiliam told me a lot of the Tanzanian culture, habits and way of living. I found it very interesting and valuable. Something that one cannot rate in money. The 10 km hike was incredible with many waterfalls and a chance to swim in them. There was not a lot of “alone time”, so if you wish to have some during e.g. the meals, inform the organiser before hand. I felt very well taken care of, since Winnie messaged me every day and asked me how my day had been and is there anything that they can help me with. I can recommend KIHINDO tours & safari to others.

Really professional and caring before/during and after the service!
Our experience has been fantastic with Kihindo Tours. I was exchanging emails with Winnie for quite a while, and she was very patient, answering all my queries clearly and really fast, providing different options to match what we wanted, and being accommodating.
We were picked up at our hotel in Dar es Salaam by Winnie and Michael (our guide) promptly (they actually got there earlier than expected!), and after finalising payment and dropping Winnie at the offices, Michael started driving us to the camp where we'd be staying. He was very chatty, there were lots of water in the car and we stopped a couple of times for lunch, a break, etc. It is a bit of a long drive to Mikumi, but well worth it. A few kms before arriving to the camp, we started seeing animals (giraffes, zebras, impalas...) and Michael very kindly stopped so we could start taking pics. The accommodation was great. We had a nice bungalow, with the basics. It was really charming and all we could hear was birds and insects. It was lovely. food in the camp was very nice (buffet).
the safari - Amazing .Michael was great, really knowledgeable and explaining lots of things. He made the whole thing really interesting, easy and really cool! We were very aware that it's a safari so maybe we wouldn't be able to see some animals (sadly we didn't spot leopards), but it was amazing. Our first day we saw elephants, lions, zebras, giraffes, impalas, crocodiles, monitor lizards, hippos, wilderbeests, storks...and other animals and birds I can't remember haha .
We also did a walking tour of the nearby waterfalls. It was great view and really quiet, as it was low season, so we had the waterfalls just for us to swim
All in all, we believe it's great value for money, they were extremely reliable, helping us with all the queries we had before/during/after the safari...Would absolutely recommend. We even met Mr Kihindo, who is a very nice young man!!!

Before leaving we got in touch with Winnie, the organization manager, who was simply fantastic about everything! She helped us solve some problems that were beyond their control, she helped us organize the Safari, she came to pick us up at the airport, she took care of getting us a refund (unexpected) from the airline since we had changed our plans back, and there are no words to describe how flawless everything was. Once we arrived in Mikumi we were lucky enough to meet Michael, our guide. We immediately perceived his passion for his work, the welcome was super. The first day we went to learn about the Masai culture, while the second was dedicated entirely to the safari. Michael knows every type of animal, he told us everything about them, everything was explained with sweetness and passion. He was available for any request, always with a smile! He made us live the real safari experience by taking us to as many places as possible in the park looking for animals everywhere, making us feel safe. A good soul and a true professional. Rating 10+
