Quick answers, fine contact, sympathic and good driver and guide
3/5

Fine safari to Mikumi National Park over the weekend. The communication with Isaya was easy and quick and our driver and guide, Mr Peter, brought us safe from Dar to Mikumi and back again. Many useful informations.
The cottages in the park were rather basic, but ok. The food was not ok.

Great staff who made our trip a life long memory
4/5

In a nutshell, everything went according to plan and expectations: great service and follow up from Kihindo tours (William and Winnie); extra support to retreive lost luggage; fantastic and awesome days on safaris both in Mikumi and Nyerere, incl walking- and boat safaris with local guides; and two charming lodges who both made us feel «like home».
A special thank you to our knowledgeable guide, William.

Saw tons of wildlife! Wonderful and knowledgeable guides and drivers. Bastian lodge is great. Long drive, but with rest stop and decent food. Highly recommended package. Good value for the money.

Great safari with a lot of interesting information about animals and the Tanzanian culture.
4/5

Communications before departure of the safari went great through whatsapp, they responded really quick and with clear answers to my questions. Also the iternity was very clear and nice. We felt very comfortable during the safari. The guide and driver were great company. The car was amazing. We were with the 2 of us so we had all the space, that was very relaxing. The drive to Mikumi was long (6 hours) but nice. Enought to see during the drive. And when you nearly reach Mikumi NP gate, you can already see some animals like baboons.
Overall, we had a great safari with Kihindo Tours and Safaris and I would defenitely recommend.

Great safari with a good guide
4/5

We spent 3 days in Selous with Isaya : safari by boat then a full day in the park and walking safari. All was very well organised : Isaya (and Francky) came and pick us at our hôtel in Morogoro and then we went to Selous. We slept at Mloka Lodge with Isaya and Francky : this lodge is very great. Safari was also great : we saw a lot of animals specially girafe and one léopard. Isaya gave us a lot of informations about animals and his country, it was very interesting.
We spent 3 good days with them.

Very helpful and kind
5/5

First of all, thank Winnie the tour operator, who organised our trip and helped us, by telling us which safari should we do because they all have their own particularity and choose which one suits us more. The selection was perfect (Mikumi-Ruaha) because we saw a lot of animals and especially hippos and lions who are our favourites. Also, many thanks to our guides Michael and danford, who weren’t only our guides but we became good friends. The safari was fantastic but they made it for us much better, along the secret conversation we had while eating😂.In conclusion, it was once life time experience, I recommend everyone to go on a safari and preferably with Kihindo tours and especially with those 2 guides. I have already recommended it to my friends and relatives. See you soon brothers, greetings from ILIAS,ILIAS and Nicolas.
P.S. danford have a good marriage,
Michael don’t stop being an impala.

Honest, on point, dedicated and friendly!
5/5

My girlfriend and I recently had an unforgettable safari experience that far exceeded our expectations.

We were fortunate enough to see every animal we had hoped for, making this one of the most remarkable adventures of my life.

Our guides, Darnford and Saloniki, were incredibly dedicated, going above and beyond to ensure our experience was exceptional.

Their passion and effort truly made the journey special. Without a doubt, this won’t be our last visit.

Thank you so much for such an incredible experience!

A safari that turned out to be a blast
5/5

If it’d be possible I’d give 10 stars.
Our private safari with Kihindo was incredible. It’s not a cheap affair but if you’d like to get the best out of the Tanzanian wildlife, there is no other way (in my humble opinion). If you can afford it, just go for it.

Joint safaris are a completely different story.
We did participate in both kinds and hence my comparison.
However I suppose even with a private one you have to have a good luck to experience it to the fullest.
We luckily had it.

Winnie was the coordinator of our trip and exchange with her (on email and later on WhatsApp a few weeks before our trip) was quick and efficient.
5 nights in 2 different lodges have been booked for us. Mloka Lodge and Bastian where Mloka is our favourite. With such a great human touch we haven’t been greeted anywhere during our journey.

We decided to go for 6 days safari during which we aimed to visit two parks in the South: Nyerere and Mikumi. Both of them are great places to spot a lot of animals. But a good guide is the key.
Many amazing, touching moments we experienced during the safari happened because of our guide: Michael. All credits go for him.
We cannot thank him enough for his great efforts to please us spotting that many animals. But he was doing this in a very respectful way (no chasing after animals at all costs or scaring them; not at all!).
He was giving us all the time we needed to contemplate those out of this world creatures, landscapes and spectacles that were going on in front of us.
His passion, enthusiasm and great interest for his native wildlife is not only palpable, but also contiguous.
His broad knowledge about many environmental aspects is enormous.
We learnt from him more than from numerous books about Tanzania we read before our trip.
Every evening (except for one) we were dining together exchanging our experiences we had that day. It was also a great opportunity to discuss much more in detail the animals, their habitats, behaviours, rituals…etc.
We were speaking about way more topics than the native wildlife. We exchanged on our local customs and aspects of our lives: in Poland, Tanzania, Ireland, Germany. We found many common things.
We spoke about so many different topics: political, social, environmental, sustainable, historical, cultural… to name just a few.

Michael is a very special guide.
You would be lucky to have him as yours at your side.
Thanks Michael for everything and good luck in all your future endeavours!

Excellent communication, organisation and guides.
5/5

I can throughly recommend Kihindo Tours for a safari in southern Tanzania. My guides were hardworking, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I travelled solo and always felt safe. Loved the great wildlife viewing. Visited Ruaha and Mikumi National Park -5 day trip. I was limited on time but probably would have done an extra day in Ruaha. There is a lot of traveling on this trip which was clearly stated in the detailed itinerary that I received upon booking. Accommodation was clean, comfortable but simple. Due to the busy days I didn’t spend much time in the accommodation. I very much enjoyed my time on this trip.
