Absolutely Outstanding
Wow where do we start.Everything about our trip was absolutely outstanding. From the moment we started liaising with Cuan with our dates & ideas ,& with his expertise he managed to put together the most beautiful holiday for our whole family. Its the finer details that Cuan & African Ubuntu offer that really make a difference. We had follow up phone calls, personal appearances by his people in Africa to make sure you the client are satisfied. His people are reliable, helpful, local & knowledgeable.Nothing was ever too much trouble & they will accomodate you in anyway they can.The accomodation was absolutely beautifully and we felt that everyone did a outstanding job looking after us.We think this trip was the holiday of a lifetime & sincerely would like to Thank Cuan & African Ubuntu Safaris for putting this African Adventure together for us all.We love Africa & were lucky enough to share these experiences with our family.

Amazing Experience
I would like to start by saying this is the second trip we have booked through Cuan at African Ubuntu Safaris and I wouldn't use anyone else. I am a photographer and only had a short period of time available on this trip to Africa. My main focus was to photograph Sudan (the last remaining male Northern White Rhino). Cuan designed the perfect trip to meet and exceed all my expectations. Our trip through Ol Pejeta Conservancy and Samburu was amazing. The thing I love about Africa is that no matter where you travel there is always something new to see and experience. From the moment we stepped off the plane in Nairobi to the time we sadly had to leave a few weeks later, we were made to feel like family by all our guides.
We arrived in Nanyuki and were met by our guides Nicholas and Mitiko and our adventure began. We drove a short distance to reach the entrance to Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Once all the formalities were finalised we began our first game drive on our way to the Porini Rhino Camp. We arrived in camp and received a warm welcome from David the camp manager. We were the only ones staying in camp as it turns out for the next two days, so definitely received royal treatment. The food was amazing and we definitely put weight on whilst away :-) and our tent looked out over the waterhole, where we sat and watched Buffalo, Zebra and Antelope each day. We had a bit of wet weather, but it never really interfered with our animal viewing. The highlight was definitely meeting Sudan, Fatu and Najin (last three remaining northern white rhino) but we also loved watching the black rhino and southern white rhino out on the plains. We came to the last day of our stay in Ol Pejeta and Nicholas and Mitiiko dropped us at the grass airstrip to catch our next plane to Samburu. When a 4 seater Cesna landed my heart dropped to my feet, but William the pilot soon made me feel as ease. Although I never let go of the door for the entire trip :-)
We arrived in Samburu and were greeted by Julius and was taken to the Elephant Bedroom Camp. This camp is just stunning and spent the next few days with what I can only describe as one of the best guides I have ever met. Julius would ask me each morning what I wanted to photograph and would find it. Cant ask for much more than that. His knowledge was unbelievable. I loved everything about Samburu, again it was different to all other places I had previously been to in Africa. The elephant bedroom camp is definitely a great camp and I would stay here again in a heart beat. The wildlife could be found all around you, including the in the bathroom tent where I looked up and there was a bat starring back at me.
We got to see so many babies on this trip, baby lion, elephant, oryx, antelope, zebra and list goes on as well as some gorgeous juvenile cheetahs and leopard.
Cuan, thank you so much for organising such great trip. 10/10, you are still the only travel agent I have ever come across that has such good customer service and knowledge of their destination.
We will be in contact when it is time for our next big adventure.

Another amazing trip
This was my third booking with Cuan and I have to say that I wouldn't use anyone else. On my first trip when we explained what we wanted, he suggested the Masai Mara in Kenya, which turned out to be just perfect. He persuaded my friend & I that we could cope with tents rather lodges, and he was so right. Mind you, the 'tents' he found us were just a little above your usual camping! I'm talking comfortable beds (with hot water bottles at night if you need them) and an en suit toilet and shower. Wonderful game drives, amazing food and great company.
On this trip - again to the Mara - I changed my international flights at the last minute: no problem. I had to store a suitcase in Nairobi for a week at the last minute: no problem. I was travelling on my own for the first time but I was confident all my pick-ups & drop-offs would be there on time, and they were. Cuan also explained why I was on my own (my travelling friend had passed away a couple of months before) to the camp I was staying at which was very sweet, and avoided those awkward questions on arrival. I will book with Ubuntu Safaris again without a shadow of a doubt. Thanks Cuan!

The safari exceeded my expectations, I highly recommended booking through them.
Cuan from African Ubuntu Safari's was excellent. My family booked through Cuan for a week long safari after my husband and I were married in Botswaba. Due to unprecedented rain in Botswana in March the air strip and accommodation we were supposed to stay in at the Okavango Delta was unusable. We were a party of 12 so it would have been difficult to book accommodation at the last minute. Cuan managed to organise flights to a different airstrip, and a personalized 'glamping' experience. The food was excellent, the service and staff's knowledge was exceptional. The experience well exceeded my expectations. I highly recommended using Ubuntu Safari's because we had such a lovely holiday and also because the customer service from
Cuan extended from when we were enquiring about booking the tour until the we returned to Australia.

Wonderful Experience
I was organising a safari in Africa for a family group of 12, mainly in Botswana. After researching online I was fortunate to discover African Ubuntu Safaris and contacted Cuan. Cuan was able to make recommendations, work within our budget and accommodate all our needs, which was varied as our ages ranged from 23 to 65. Everything went as planned and exceeded expectations. We had an amazing holiday, wonderful experiences and fell in love with Africa. We are grateful to Ubuntu for organising such a wonderful holiday.
I highly recommend Cuan and Ubuntu Safaris.

Outstanding
Not only were they competent and efficient, they demonstrated an ability to understand our very subjective needs and preferences. The quality of the tours was excellent, they were good value for money and everything went very smoothly. We also dealt with friendly and attentive staff on all levels. We have and will recommend them to our friends and family.

Absolutely Amazing , It's not all about seeing the Big 5, but simply look for the unexpected.
26 days, 7 countries, 10 internal flights & 4000klm on some of the worst roads on the planet to get to the best wildlife parks..., to witness all that Africa has to offer, thank you Cuan & Diederik for putting this tour together for us, everything was beyond our expectations. Words cannot really describe the feeling, to stand inside a Massi Village, the beauty of the landscape, and the smell of a hippo pond! To return the waves from excited children as we passed by was a highlight.
The tour operators and the accomodation provided was excellent, there is something about Africa that will draw me back, African Ubuntu Safaris will be my choice again.

So well organised. Amazing staff , great food , unbelievable safari experience
Had been on a safari in South Africa several years ago with another tour company. Everything was organised perfectly from pick ups , flights , food and even when one of our lodges was flooded due to rain 6 weeks prior to our arrival , African Ubuntu Safaris stood up and arranged alternative camping accommodation which was just unbelievable. So much better than our expectations. Our tour guide was friendly , knowledgeable and the wild game we got to see will forever be remembered by all of us on the safari. The camp staff were simply amazing and the food they prepared was just delicious. One of the great holidays ever!
African Safari Tour, June 2017
I had an absolutely marvellous time, filled with such great contrasts in the four key places I was fortunate enough to visit: Chobe National Park, Savute National Park, Okavango Delta and culminating in the wonderful Bwindi lodge in Uganda!
Every place I visited, the guides were superb and all staff were very helpful, bending over backwards to assist us at any time. The food and service was all excellent. The photo opportunities were continual and exciting, especially since every trip produced new experiences with such a variety of wildlife. The houseboat trip on Chobe River was great, especially since we had the use of the smaller motorised boats appointed with swivelling seats and gimbal heads on tripod stands to suit heavy lenses. Here we saw a variety of scenes played out and could get so close to the action onshore in the boat. Everything from sparring bull elephants to hippos, impala practising their fighting skills, mongoose and baboon family activities. The birds were wonderful and many different species were within our photographic sights on each trip.
The cheetahs were wonderful in Savute and lovely to see the giraffes practising their battle skills and a huge bull elephant walked right up to our vehicle and past us on his way. Lions were part of our photographic diet and zebra, impala, kudu and other antelopes were there. The birds were continually available, including many birds of prey and the beautiful hornbills and roller birds. The Magpie Shrike eating the mouse was terrific to witness as well.
At Okavango, I was treated to hippo feeding and an elephant sleeping just outside my tent lodge at 4.30 am, after having removed some branches from a nearby tree! Here we had marvellous canoe and boat trips as well as safaris each day allowing us to see a leopard feeding, wild dogs, lions, elephants, zebra, mongooses, wonderful storks and birds of prey etc.
The optional gorilla trip extension was wonderful, and although we needed to go on two hard treks to see them deep in the forest over two days, it was great to see how they live and interact in the wild. Then on the last afternoon we were treated to a return visit from one gorilla family which came right up out of the forest into our lodge grounds! The huge Silverback walked right past me on the pathway, so it was hard to keep the camera still as I was a bit nervous! Amazing way to end a terrific tour to Africa.
At all times we were able to get valuable assistance when required from our photography expert Alistair MacDougall, who showed amazing energy and dedication to the task of recording our trip both in video and photographs, as well as helping all participants to achieve the most out of all photo opportunities. Our trip manager, Gerald MacLaren was always pleasant and very helpful, preparing us for every part of the trip as we went.
The accommodation was excellent all round and I enjoyed staying in the tent camp at Savute as much as the higher class accommodation at the other three places. It was overall very good value for money, especially considering we had 6 hours of safari trips most days.
From the termites and butterflies to the squirrels, mongoose, gorillas and the biggest mammals (and of course the frogs and a nice snake I saw), I had a great time meeting a sample of Africa's wonderful wildlife.
Thank you all so much for providing this fantastic opportunity.
