Delivered as promised, easy to deal with.
Most of the communication was via email except for the odd call from Cuan to clarify things that I misunderstood or misinterpreted. The tour met all expectations.
What was even more impressive, was when we had questions or concerns while we were in Africa we were able to get prompt answers from Ubuntu

This was our first trip to Africa and it far exceeded our expectations!
We travelled to South Africa and Zambia in August. We were met at all arrivals making connections and onward travel easy. Cuan’s father Gerald met us at the Johannesburg airport and transferred us to our hotel in Sandton which was much appreciated.
The whole holiday flowed very smoothly without any hiccups.
The camps were exactly what we wanted, small, personal and in great locations. The wildlife viewing blew us away. We knew we’d see animals but the variety and numbers were unexpected.
For us the camps were part of the experience. Low key but high quality. The food, the comfort of the lodgings and the service were all top notch! We had our first game drive at Tafika and what a time we had. Leopard being chased by wild dogs and two lions mating. We had Hippos ho ho hoing on the river side of camp and Elephants wallowing on the other. Although it was busy viewing around Nkwali we saw plenty of wildlife including a large pride of lions all lounging in the grass seemingly oblivious to the game vehicles driving around them. As we returned to camp one evening we heard the most amazing roar down the valley just on sunset. I’ll never forget it!
And Potato Bush on the banks of the great Zambezi. Lion, leopard and wild dog and that view!
We loved the whole experience and hope to return one day. If we do we will most certainly use the expertise of Cuan and his team at Ubuntu Safaris.

Excellent communication and nothing was too much trouble to organise!
Diederick organised our holiday of a lifetime to Africa - specifically the Serengeti and Uganda. We were not sure exactly what we wanted but he organised our trip with our input and he had every little thing covered - pickups, accommodation and the safaris and Gorilla tracking in Uganda. Everything was magnificent! We didn't have to worry about anything! We have never been to Africa before and I would highly recommend African Ubuntu Safaris - they were awesome!

UNFORGETTABLE AFRICAN ADVENTURE!
This is our second trip with African Ubuntu Safaris, the first was five years ago for six weeks, and this trip was four weeks long. We are both African born but we now live in Australia, and have done many safaris in our lives, yet Cuan was able to create an itinerary that was exciting and unusual and we saw more wildlife than even Africans imagined possible! Cuan spends time asking questions before he starts to plan a trip, and seems to have a magic touch (or intuition) which helps him capture the very experience we wished for and to select amazing camps to stay at - every single time! - with highly professional guides, great accommodation and delicious food.
Every single day was an unforgettable and wonderful adventure. But if we must choose the highlights: Stanleys Camp in Botswana and walking with Jabu and Marula, the elephants, was a privilege and a highly emotional experience. Sausage Tree Camp in Zambia - what a glorious place! - and our outstanding guide Alix and taking a mokoro on a three hour trip down the mighty Zambezi - and fishing for Tiger Fish - was unforgettable. (No, MINE was the biggest .....!) And Kaya Mawa in Lake Malawi for a luxurious rest at the end of our trip - it was incredibly beautiful, and totally unexpected, a combination of Fiji, Bali, and the Caribbean!
We highly recommend Cuan and his Dad, Gerald, in South Africa. In a continent where so much can go so very wrong - Cuan's attention to detail ensures your comfort, safety and delight. Thank you so much! Start planning the next trip for us Cuan!

Holiday of a lifetime
Our pre holiday expectations were all about seeing the animals but our Ubuntu Safari holiday delivered so much more. The Chobi river cruise and the 2 safari camps we stayed at delivered genuine “up close experiences “with a wide variety of wildlife. The camps we stayed in were superb and their staff and guides went beyond normal levels of service .The natural beauty of Victoria Falls,Table Top mountain and the African coastline was a real WOW.The African people are welcoming ,friendly and genuinely pleased you are visiting their country. It was truly a holiday to remember and we are already planning to return.

The trip exceeded all expectations due to Cuan's excellent knowledge of Southern Africa.
Cuan tailored the experiences to meet the needs of a fairly diverse group of people very well. He communicated directly with camps when necessary to ensure all went smoothly. We enjoyed a range of adventures from canoeing on the Zambezi to spending time with meerkats, which all balanced perfectly to ensure we maximised our time and enjoyed a brilliant trip. Would recommend Ubuntu to friends without hesitation.

Highly impressed with the level of highly personalised approach we received!
Diederik and his team did an amazing job! This was our very first safari so we had no clue about the types of accommodation, time of the year, locations and other little things that all play an important part in your itinerary. Diederik was incredibly patient with us, took time to explain everything to the littlest of detail. We kept changing our preferences and itinerary, yet he always remained not only professional but it was apparent that he really enjoys helping us with our trip.
Everyone in the team was super lovely and responded incredibly quickly to our intricate enquiries. Nothing was a problem and they had a number of solutions or alternatives at hand.
I would recommend African Ubuntu Safaris wholeheartedly.

Simply the best holiday I have ever had
I was not interested in doing a group tour so Cuan put together a 4 destination holiday for me in Zimbabwe with road transfers and light plane transfers . It was amazing staying in 1 place and enjoying the local attractions and magnificent animals. The holiday was well and truly above my expectations and Cuan’s organisation was amazing. Cuan’s father, Gerald, met me in Johannesburg on both occasions and walked me to City Lodge at the airport the first time and drove me to and from Rosebank on my return. If you are considering a holiday to Africa you must talk to African Ubuntu Safaris - Cuan’s knowledge, planning and execution was way beyond my wildest dream. I have been to Africa 7 times and this holiday was the best by far. Thank you Cuan and Gerald

A Truly Wonderful and Unforgettable holiday experience.
Well, what an experience we had in Africa, my wife Linda, her sister Pat and myself. Each tour was great in its own way for many different reasons. All the guides and staff were exceptional, in the way they treated us like we were very special (almost like family). Their knowledge of the wilderness, bush, the plains, the animals was astounding. Not to mention their animal tracking skills which were simply astonishing? Nothing was too much trouble for them when it came to wanting to stop and take photos of whatever we wanted. The guides gave us all the time in the world to do whatever. All except for getting out of the vehicle to check the tyres or cut the flowers (as they liked to call it) our safety was their paramount concern. From the luxury Hotel accommodation to the very fancy tenting accommodation, it was all fantastic. Cuan managed to craft our whole tour to exceed all of our wildest expectations. He undoubtedly went to great lengths to make sure our African experience was simply unforgettable for all the right reasons. Just on the first day there, we saw 4 of the big 5 animals. On the next day, we saw the fifth.
In conclusion, we can’t recommend Ubuntu Safaris highly enough to anyone who wants to go to Africa, Forget feelings of trepidation, or of fear of the animals. You will be in great hands with African Ubuntu Safaris.

cuan's attention to detail was impressive couldnt fault anything.
excellent service even meeting us with his dad in Joburg. everything from start to finish made this an memorable experience. Being a South African, Cuan's advice on tipping, clothing, what to see on safari, guidance on travel gave us the assurance we needed on how to get the best from our trip.
Been singing his praises to those who have seen our photos.
