11 Days Luxury Adventure Tour of Tanzania
5/5

In my internet research, which I based on specific Tanzanian destinations, Safari Infinity routinely surfaced as a top choice. When I read hundreds of reviews that were current and consistently high, I believed I found the right place.
We went ahead and checked all of the upgrades when booking lodging … and did Safari Infinity ever deliver. While I was confident the Four Seasons would be great … they were ALL outstanding accommodations.

The quality of our guide Kelly just blew us away. Kelly was as much a Tanzanian goodwill ambassador as professional guide. Kelly was both an excellent listener and speaker. The depth of his understanding and ability to community insights of animals, flora, and Tanzanian culture was terrific.

We had a great guide and we were blessed with a great couple of weeks! Observing a sleeping leopard at 5’ … and then more leopards close-up, prides of lions brushing against our truck, and watching exciting animal hunts, including an unsuccessful (for the lioness) open field pursuit of a wildebeest and her calf, and multiple cheetah hunts – some where the antelope lived another day, others which were a good day for the cheetah. Watching hippos flip a fully grown crocodile in the air (“not so smart croc” – Kelly) that got too close to their babies was simply remarkable. We could go on and on about the wonders we saw: from a Black Rhino running in the crater to baboon “sex parties” (rabbits have absolutely nothing on these creatures), young zebra males fighting each other, to the tight formation a herd of elephants takes to protect an hours old calf. There was just so much to see, not just animals, but animals in their true, natural habitat.

I can’t tell you what our expectations were, but they were vastly exceeded.

Our Land Cruiser diesel was unstoppable! Another “we love Safari Infinity:” our safari truck would be covered inside and out with Serengeti dust … we’d tell Kelly not to worry about cleaning it. My hat’s off to Kelly as a fine, conscientious driver, whom I thought was very good on his equipment (i.e., didn’t pound it into the ground) – not a small consideration when you’re hundreds of miles from a support vehicle.

We did not have single “off” day: every day was special, every day we were so very happy to be with our good friends, and our wonderful guide Kelly. We arrived a day early and ultimately stayed an extra half day on the backend, yet Lucia, Simon, and Kelly made us feel like we were visiting longtime friends. I absolutely, whole-heartedly, recommend Safari Infinity. Asante sana!

Amazing country, great tour operator & guide
5/5

We went on 9-day safari with Safari Infinity team. We visited Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire all very spectacular parks with amazing wild life. What made our trip so spectacular was the experience we had with Safari Infinity team. From the beginning Lucia was prompt in responding to my several queries providing quotes for different lodging options. We found all lodging options that Safari Infinity choose to be world class, food was excellent. The 4x4 we travelled was well maintained, clean. Safari Infinity even provided us with binoculars, which made wildlife viewing so much more spectacular. We realized how great it was to have powerful binoculars when we saw other Safari vehicles where even the guide didn’t have one.

We chose to do a day hike around Mt Kilimanjaro on our first day and Safari Infinity team provided us with poles, rain gear for the hike, which we didn’t expect. It showed great deal of care in planning and experience on part of Safari Infinity team.

We were fortunate to have Kelly as our guide, not only is he knowledgeable about wildlife he is passionate about it. Kelly went to great lengths to provide us amazing wildlife viewing opportunities, not once did he look disinterested in what he was doing. We saw many other guides would pull up next to wildlife and guide would be on cell phone, not with Kelly he was fully engaged.
Some people are lucky to spotted one Rhino while in Ngorongoro but we spotted five Rhinos, one with a baby, how spectacular was that! We spent many evenings enjoying Cigars, Whisky, and card game with Kelly and learning more about wildlife & Tanzania. He is great ambassador for his country!

On last day of our trip Lucia & Ken met us and truly were interested in finding out details about or experience, which was very refreshing.

I have been recommending Safari Infinity to all family members who are interested in visiting Tanzania.

I will certainly return to Tanzania in next 5 years and without a doubt do my trip with Safari Infinity. If anyone has questions about Safari planning and our experience with Safari Infinity do not hesitate to contact me!

Amazing Safari
5/5

My son, an experience traveler, picked Safari Infinity from an internet search and it lived up to all the reviews that he had read. We did a 12 day safari that was tailored exactly to our desires. We loved the accommodations, especially O Mesera and Kati Kati Tented Camps. I recommend March because the animals were just in the process of raising their babies, so cute, that it really added to our trip. We were there during the ebola 'scare' that was on the other side of the continent so it was less traveled by tourists!!! The food was excellent everywhere and our guide was super intelligent about where to go and what needed to be done no matter what.... Safari Infinity is a super well run outfit and small enough that it is very attentive to whatever you are hoping for your trip! I would recommend some tented accommodations but also some of the more expensive ones with extra facilities. You have choices with this outfit.

When can I come back?
5/5

I had my first Safari experience in June of 2014. Friends had told me how great an experience Safari is but I had no idea what to expect. Needless to say I was blown away. The wildlife is amazing, the lodges and camps fantastic, and the people are shine bright.

After my first trip I was bit by the African bug and had to get back. I worked with Safari Infinity to plan a second custom Safari.

We picked the low season so we did not have to deal with crowds. We got to off road in Ndutu, follow a cheetah for the better part of an hour, and drink scotch while over looking the Serengeti.

The team at Safari Infinity is amazing. They work with your budget, your plans, and what you want. They do not try and force you into a prepackaged deal.

After two Safaris I'm ready to come back. I'm currently training and getting in shape to climb Kilimanjaro! Can't wait to work with everyone at Safari Infinity and be back in Africa!

Our amazing safari with Safari-Infinity
5/5

My two adult children ages , 28 and 26, and I recently returned from a dream safari in Zanzibar along with several days in Zanzibar. After careful research we made the decision to use Safari-Infinity as our tour company. It was the best decision we could have made! From the very first email I sent inquiring about booking a safari I received extraordinary customer service. As anyone planning a safari knows it can be a huge undertaking! The decision was made to use Safari-Infinity after the first email I received from Lucia Lee. She took care of the whole trip from beginning to end - the safari as well as our trip to Zanzibar. Lucia was willing to customize the trip to meet my families needs. We planned a ten day safari to Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, Taragire, the central and western Serengeti. We also spent one day near Mt. Kilimanjaro. We flew to Zanzibar and spent two days in Stone Town followed by five days in Nungwi. Lucia took care of all six of our accommodations for the safari and accommodations in Stone Town as well as an all-inclusive resort in Nungwi. We stayed in two lodges and four tented camps for our safari and every place we stayed was amazing!!! The whole trip was fantastic and every detail was handled by Safari-Infinity. I cannot say enough great things about Safari-Infinity. We also got to meet Lucia and her husband Simon which felt like meeting old friends after all the correspondence between us before we left on our trip! Another important part of a safari is your guide and our guide Rapheile was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable about wildlife. He went above and beyond to make sure that we saw as much wildlife as possible. He always did special things to make each day great and he was a great photographer to! I guarantee you will not be disappointed if you choose Safari-Infinity for your safari. It was a very personalized safari which made it fantastic.

Beyond expectations !
5/5

We, a family of two adults and three teenage kids, recently took an two week safari and beach holiday that we booked through Safari Infinity. Short summary: We could not have made a better choice.

From the initial website enquiry (less than two months before departure) through many ‘could we just change’ emails all pre-holiday planning ran extremely smoothly. There seemed to be nothing Lucia could not arrange or rearrange. All emails were answered quickly, sometimes within minutes, which was exceptional given the time differences between Tanzania and Bangkok. From landing at Kilimanjaro to getting on the plane at the end of the holiday in Zanzibar there was not one, even slight, hitch. Lucia and Simon even took the time to come to our hotel in Arusha to see us off on safari, a nice personal touch.

The accommodation on safari was very well selected, the variety of lodges, permanent camps and tents was ideal; waking to the sounds of lions roaring in the night, sitting around the bush ‘television’ and gazing at the vast number of stars were experiences we won’t forget. Stone Town was an extremely interesting cultural delight with the restful few days at the beach on Zanzibar proving to be a wonderful change of pace and an excellent ending to the holiday.

The safari itself (Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, Central and North Serengeti) was superb. We saw everything we could have asked for; the ‘big five’, multiple cheetahs, many families of elephants, huge herds of zebra, gazelle and wildebeest. Though everyone agreed that the two prides of lions with cubs were the highlight. Osbert was a fantastic guide and driver -- even stopping to help someone else who was stuck in the mud, something he swears would never happen to him ! He was very knowledgeable on both the wildlife, the flora and the history of Tanzania – I don’t think we had one question he could not answer. He had an excellent sense of humour, was great with the kids (15, 16,19) and adults alike and consistently got us into fantastic positions to view and photograph the game. It’s one thing spotting the wildlife it’s something else to have the knowledge to predict where the prowling cheetah or lion will move to so that we can be in the best place to watch it pass within a few metres of our jeep. Osbert also chose some fantastic places for breakfast and lunch picnics – one that ended up being in the middle of the great migration! He was happy to vary the plan for the day so we got the most out of the safari and even volunteered to get up early on our final day for “one last game drive”.

We would happily recommend Safari Infinity to our family and friends.

Spectacular climbs of Mt Kilimanjaro and Mt Meru
5/5

My daughter, my niece, and I spent 11 days with Safari Infinity on treks to the summit of these two great mountains. It was by-far the best holiday we have ever had. I can say unequivocally that we were the best treated trekkers on either mountain and by a large margin. Our guides were experienced, knowledgeable, prepared for anything, and focused on us as clients meeting our objective and having a great time. The food was terrific, our support team was unmatched and each day was a new, exciting, and enjoyable discovery. I can give my highest recommendations to the entire Safari Infinity team. If you want to have a remarkable climbing experience, have a great chance of success, and enjoy each day as the best you've ever had, then use Safari Infinity for your Tanzanian trekking experience.

Highly recommend Safari Infinity!!
5/5

My boyfriend and I took a 12 day trip with Safari Infinity and could not be happier with our Tanzania safari experience. I have dreamed of going to Africa since I was a very young girl, and I am pleasantly surprised to report that the trip exceeded my (very high) expectations! We landed in Arusha and visited Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro, and the Serengeti. I could go on and on about the amazing animal sightings and unbelievable experiences we had, but I will try to keep things short and sweet and highlight a few key points . . . First of all, our tour guide Kelly was beyond amazing. He always went the extra mile with regards to making sure we had the most exclusive animal sightings. We also got to know him on a very personal level and enjoyed our hours of conversation with him comparing our culture with his and our views on the world. A huge bonus of Safari Infinity is there is no limit to milage driven each day. Kelly explained to us that many companies cap each day at 80 km of driving, whereas on many days we surpassed 200 km in order to reach more exclusive regions of the Serengeti for superior animal sightings. Also, many guides rely on radio calls to find animals and stick to the main roads. Kelly was very skilled and proactive - he would get just as excited to spot an animal as we were to see it. We had a special interest in bird watching and Kelly was extremely patient and helped us ID each species we saw. All of our accommodations were great, but Tarangire Treetops and Mara Under Canvass cannot be missed! I would recommend booking hotels that are comprised of individual tents/huts/treehouses, etc., versus hotels that are set up more traditionally (long hallway with rooms adjacent to one another). Each national park was special in its own way, but if one had to be missed due to time constraints I would say Lake Manyara was least special and the northern Serengeti (where we ended the trip) was the best! Again, I could go on forever gushing about how amazing our trip was, but suffice it to say that I strongly feel Safari Infinity and our guide Kelly were what made our trip as exceptional as it was. Lucia was wonderful to work with as far as booking our adventure, and she even met with us in person at our final hotel to garner feedback in person and ensure we were happy with everything.

Honeymoon w Safari Infinity
5/5

My wife and I decided to do our honeymoon in Tanzania and went with Safari Infinity after interviewing a number of Tanzania-based tour operators. They weren't the cheapest option, but they provided by far the best customer service. Lucia is the main person you will communicate with and she is very organized and responsive. If you have a question about your itinerary (and I had dozens and dozens) she will usually reply within a few hours, regardless of the time of day. Because it was our first safari, I was really clueless about the itinerary, lodging options, etc. and Lucia walked me through all of the details over the course of a few weeks. If you care about the details but don't know much about Safaris, you won't have a better partner to help you out than Lucia.

The safari itself was amazing, although I'm sure most people do have amazing safaris, regardless of the company they travel with. Our guide Kelly was a local guide who knew a ton about all the animals. He often took us off the beaten path so we weren't stuck with too many other cars. He was very friendly and we had a great time with him over the course of 8 days. The only thing we could complain about is that we didn't get to see a cheetah, but apparently it was the wrong season to see those cats. Honestly, the trip was amazing and I was sad on the last day to be flying out. We hope to be back on safari again in the near future.

Fantastic family safari - with Safari Infinity
5/5

Booking a safari in Tanzania is quite a challenge since there are so many safari companies to choose from - so having said that, we had requested quotes from many places and the reason we chose Safari Infinity was their prompt replies and turn around times to answer our questions, and they were able to get us reservations at the camps and lodges that we wanted (even though we were booking all this at the last minute). We definitely made the right choice! They stayed in touch through out the entire week ensuring we were enjoying the trip and even tried to acommodate changes that we wanted to make at the last minute.

To summarize, there were 7 of us on safari - 2 Grandparents, 2 parents and 3 children (ages 9, 5, 5). We had the option of either booking 2 vehicles or to squeeze in to 1. We opted to travel together in 1 vehicle - mostly because we thought it would be more fun that way, although, on the days we had luggage (going from camp to camp) it felt a little cramped.

Our driver/guide - Tumaini was excellent. He went the extra mile to get us to see animals that were on our priority list (he knew just where to go and when to go - we just had to trust him!). He was very knowledgeable- especially when he was grilled with hundreds of questions by our 9 year old! He did his best to ensure our comfort during the safari - and with 3 kids in the car, we always had a clean vehicle every morning. His driving skills were excellent - not only at getting us out of a muddy river bed for example, but also maneuvering so that we had the best view of the pride of lions enjoying a kill, when there were at least 15 other cars all trying to get to the front!

We started our tour in Arusha for one night, then on to Tarangire for half day, and then to Ngorongoro (& Beyond Ngorongoro Crater lodge) for 2 nights, Pioneer camp for 2 nights (central Serengeti) and then Bushtops (northern Serengeti) for 2 nights. The only thing we would have changed is to either skip Tarangire or to spend a night in Tarangire. With young kids, we started off on the 1st day with about 6 -7 hours in the car which was just a little too much and we were not able to enjoy the fabulous facilities at the & Beyond Ngorongoro crater lodge.

All in all, a very enjoyable safari and would definitely recommend Safari Infinity to anyone looking for something out of the ordinary!
