highly recommended
Before coming to Kenya I read that your impression and safari success heavily depends on the guide, we were very lucky to Guideon from Meektrails Safaris as our reliable and caring guide, overall level of organization was very high and I would also recommend this tour operator.
Everything was well organized: the tour consultant, Victor, was very responsive and helpful, answering timely and gently all of our questions. We have got a free of charge sim card with internet that helped us to stay in touch with the family. We ordered a private car and it was very comfortable, always clean, water always available in the fridge of the car. All of the places where we stayed (we chose a medium level of comfort) had clean and nice bedrooms, tasty food and good wi-fi.
We paid 30% in advance to secure the booking, and it was assured that if something happens we could also get a full refund. Luckily, we were able to come and enjoy those 5 days of incredible safari.
We definitely recommend Meektrails Safaris as a reliable tour operator!

Very good safari
We had a very good experience doing safari with Meektrails.
We fully recommend our guide Samwell who does his best to make the experience go as smoothly as possible.
We took a package including Lake Naivasha, Nakuru and Masai Mara, all three locations are very good.
The hotels were all excellent including the food, especially the Masai Mara one, however, the Nakuru one, even though is very good, is too remote.
Our advice would be to discuss all details prior to the safari to tailor the experience to your tastes, Meektrails Safaris are available to discuss/change any points as needed.
What we would do different:
- Take a Jeep not a minivan; even though it's more expensive, it's worth it seeing the time you spend in it and the quality of the roads.
- At Zebra lodge, for an extra fee, you can have a Savannah side lodge which has a view on the animals directly instead of a hillside lodge
- Be sure to go at a time where there are no chance of rain, we had a few hurdles due to unexpected rain for the season.
- Take more days in Masai Mara (we had 1 day/game drive)
Overall we highly recommend Meektrails and especially Samwell!
the +:
- Samwell our guide, who is very professional and kind
- Zebra lodge hotel in Masai Mara
the -:
- The Masai village visit was too rushed and very expensive (not included in the price)

Totally recommend for the most amazing Kenya experience!
RECOMMEND!!
First of all, William helped me plan my trip and was always there to help and reply very fast with amazing ideas.
Anthony is the BEST BEST BEST guide ever.
He knows all there is to know and he has a wonderful attitude. He definitely made this trip special, we even saw a STRIPED HYENA! We saw animals up close (they came to us)! It was perfect.
They resolved whatever problem we encountered during our trip and did everything to please us and make it special.
THANK YOU!

Adventurous,reliable,accommodative, friendly,fun
It was our first safari tour and we had the time of our lives! The process of planning and arranging the details was very straightforward with Daniel being always available to answer our questions. From the moment we were greated at the airport by Daniel,Lukas and our guide Timothy we felt welcomed and well cared for. Tim was very knowledgeble, funny and friendly. His knowledge and stories about the wildlife of the savanna made the londhours drives funny and most enjoyable. Tim was very flexible and went above and beyond to meat our needs during the trip. He was excellend driver, very relyable. There were periods of rain and flooding on the roads during our trip and few other chalenges but we didn't miss a bit of our plan and we thank Tim for that. The accommodations were the closest possible to the wilderness which we found very exciting. From Sentrim lodge in Amboseli we were lucky to see the snows of Kilimanjaro before the sunrise- one of my dreams came true! Every night we listened to the voices of the savanna and early morning we were greated by the symphony of the birds songs- absolutely amazing! The food was delicious and there were many varieies and options.
The wildlife and vegetation in savanna was like another world experience. We saw tons of animals and birds, we saw 4 of the Big 5. We only couldn't see any leopards but we took it as a sign that we have to come back another time

One of a kind!
So, we started the safari with not the best days as it was raining almost everyday. But we have the most wonderful experience ever! From the day we arrived, until the end. Eliud was the one who was handling us and it was such an easy communication. Replies very fast and always manages to respond asap. But then there's Sammy. Our tour guide. What an amazing guy and guide! He was just excellent and I can't imagine if other guides would be able to pull of what we have been through. It has been raining so bad in all the parks so we had gotten stuck a few times. One was very bad going to Masai Mara bec the river was almost impossible to cross but he managed to bring us safe and sound to our hotel. He is very knowledgeable about all the animals and he was doing all the best so we could see all the big and ugly 5. Unfortunately due to the bad weather, we couldn't manage to spot the Leopards. But we couldn't ask for me. Highlights were:
1. Seeing the amazing elephants in herds
2. Walking with the giraffe
3. Boating with the hippos
4. Biking hell's gate! wow!
5. Exploring Masai Mara
6. Our river road (due to heavy rains) crossing that was almost impossible but was made possible by Sammy, truly an adventure of a lifetime!
7. Picnic in Amboseli Park overlooking the whole park
Fave accommodation was Ziwa but all accommodations were wow! Zebra Plains were so nice with the view of the animals just in front every morning. Koponi Lodge was also very typical. Sentrim was also great with lots of food varieties.
Overall, 6/5! Our family loved it! Would absolutely recommend to families and friends!

Our tour operator John is very considerate, easy to communicate and beyond our exceptions.
John is the best! Very considerate. Easy to communicate. If you need any change or stops during you trip he would be very helpful arranging that. John is also very good at the game drive. He can smell the animal and take us to see all the big five. Very reliable tour guide. The service is excellent.

Meek: reliable, adventurous and fun!
From start to finish, communication with MeekTrails was easy and Meek was very flexible in putting together an excellent 7-day safari program for us. Lodges and food were excellent. And our guide Anthony was not only a very skillful driver, he was also extremely knowledgeable on Kenyan culture, birds, plants and animals; knowing exactly where to go at what time and tweak the schedule accordingly. Anthony fulfilled on his promise of the Big Five, and we had good fun along the way!

Fantastic experience fully reccomended
Genuinely a unforgettable trip.
Fantastic service from Daniel and his team. Communication was excellent throughout and nothing was too much to ask.
We did the 7 day safari in Nakaru, Navaisha, Maasai Mara and Amboseli.
The lodges were all comfortable and all equipped with WiFi with good food.
Would reccomend upgrading to Savora if budget allows as that was truly exceptional.
The biggest highlight of the trip was our guide James. He was incredibly friendly and literally had a 6th sense to where the animals would walk and go leading to close encounters with the animals and some amazing pictures.
If you are booking ask for James as he will truly make your trip special.
All in all in a 5 star trip and a company I'd reccomend to anyone!
