Perfect all the way!
I found Meektrailssafaris online last summer and booked them for a 10-day safari before I started my job here in Nairobi. I had an amazing experience, and I was so satisfied that I have recommended Meektrailssafaris to my fellow teachers and friends for their safaris. In fact, one of my friends booked a trip for her family and friends to the Mara in a few days. I personally have just finished my 2nd trip with the company, and I have already secured a booking in July for when my family will visit. I can’t wait!
As a solo female traveler in a foreign country, I am so happy to have found this company, I find them extremely professional, great with their communication and they have always giving me the best itineraries with the best hotels. Our driver/guide, James, was fantastic, a wealth of knowledge & cared for all our needs.
We had a spectacular 7 day safari. Because of the drive between safari parks and back to Nairobi we were actually in the parks five of the days. Amboseli was our favorite safari park. The AA Lodge at Amboseli was also the best! At the animal sanctuary at Lake Navaisha we were walking 10 feet from wild animals! James was a wonderful guide, a great spotter, careful driver, and very patient with us! Daniel's communication and trip customization was the best! The private safari gave the 3 of us lots of room to move around for the best viewing & taking of over 5,000 photographs. We would definitely recommend Meektrails for anyone.

Last week we did an exceptionally amazing 4 day family trip with Meektrails safaris to the Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha. Daniel is the owner of Meektrails safaris and is a particularly nice, professional and reliable guide. He consistently responded as quickly as possible to each of our questions and requests. As a result, we had a safari designed completely according to our wishes, including very nice accommodation that Daniel looked for and booked for us. Due to the targeted communication and Daniel's many years of safari experience, the payment negotiations and the trip planning were very uncomplicated and we had the best tailored safari in a variety of nature reserves that we could have imagined.
During the safari, Daniel always made sure that we were provided with sufficient water and enough toilet breaks, for example. He also gave us the opportunity to visit a Masai village, which we did with pleasure. In addition, Daniel was very entertaining and was able to give us a lot of information about the animals and the area because he himself is very interested in nature and animal welfare. And above all, he found very good spots from which we could observe the animals very well. We were lucky enough to see a variety of animals and natural spectacles.

Last week we went on an outstanding 4-day family trip with Meektrails safaris in Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha. Daniel is the owner of meektrails safaris and is a very nice, professional and reliable guide. He responded as quickly as possible to every question and requirement we had. Thus we had a completely costumized safari including very nice accomodations chosen by Daniel. Based on the targeted communication and Daniels longterm safari experience the negotiation of the payment and the trip planning were very easy and resulted in the best safari trip we could imagine for us with diverse wildlife sanctuaries.
During the Safari Daniel provided an optimal care for the whole time, e.g. sufficient water supplies and toilet breaks. He also offered us the possibility to visit a Masai village, which we also enjoyed a lot. Moreover Daniel was very entertaining and provided us lots of information as he is very interested in nature and animal welfare by himself. He always found the best spots for the animal observations and we were very lucky to see a big variety of animals and superb natural spectacles.
It was a breathtaking experience for all of us.

Fantastic Safari
We had an unforgettable safari in the company of James, our experienced and caring driver. We saw all the animals because James knows every corner of the Masai Mara park. We chose the average formula and we were very satisfied with the hotels and the food. the van was very comfortable and spacious. I recommend this safari agency.

Fantastic operator with great communication
I really enjoyed my trip with meektrails. Daniel was very very good. He spent the time organising the trip around us and he made me feel at home the second we got to Kenya. Daniel really was great. The 4x4 van was so spacious and we enjoyed a while 10 days. We loved the mix of all the lodges and tents. It was well worth the money amd very cheap compared to alot of others. We really saw everything and went to the best places thanks to Daniel.

The tour operator shows great value for dollar and is very concerned with health and safety .
Daniel Waruri has been organizing great Kenyan safaris for us since 2017 and this, our 5th with Daniel and Meektrails was our best. He was able to mange our goals of seeing as many species of Kenyan birds as possible along with seeing the usual and unusual African big game. We are currently close to our goal of identifying 500 species of Kenyan birds plus have seen the African Big Five [even all in one day in the Masai Mara...certainly a trip highlight!] I heartily recommend Meektrails as great value for dollar. Currently I am in the process of planning a sixth safari with Meektrails in August with a group of friends from the US and Canada.

At the start of the trip, we coordinated with Daniel, the owner of Meektrails, to customize our itinerary. He was very extremely flexible and was communicative throughout the process. We wanted a 5-day tour for Lake Naivasha, Maasai Mara, and Lake Nakuru within a reasonable budget, and Meektrails was the most responsive and flexible from all the safari tour companies we contacted! They booked really great hotels (including Sopa Lodge – the best safari hotel!) for the same price that other safari companies offer low-budget hotels. Daniel was available to answer all our questions about traveling to Kenya (even those unrelated to the safari) via WhatsApp before we arrived which was a comfort to us, since traveling to a new country can be stressful!
At the start of the trip, Phyllis, the manager, came to pick us from the hotel with our tour guide where we coordinated the payment. From that point onward we were with Jasan, our tour guide. One thing to mention was that our safari van was very clean, with an unlimited supply of drinking water – super necessary since drives are long!
We had an amazing time with Jasan – he was an incredible tour guide and we cannot recommend him enough. He was extremely knowledgeable about every single animal – from birds to mammals, he knew them all! He also carried with him pocket guides on animals which turned out to be great since we were able to read about the animals as we spotted them. He carried binoculars as well which was convenient – since sometimes animals would be far away in the safari. He was really great at navigating in the safari, he made sure that we spotted all the Big 5. And if there was any specific animal that we wanted to see, he made sure to keep a lookout for those as well. One thing that really stood out about Jasan was that he cared about the park’s cleanliness as well – we actually stopped to pick up a fallen hat in the middle of the track in Lake Naivasha. He also spent some time guiding some lost safari drivers – that’s how you knew he had a gem of a heart!
We highly recommend Jasan and Meektrails Safari! It was our first time in Kenya – and they made sure we had the best time ever!

Memorable Adventure - All BIG FIVE

Ich und meine Freundin, wir sind beide Mitte 20, sind im Januar 2022 nach Kenya gereist. Nachdem wir eine Woche in Mombasa verbracht haben, wollten wir noch eine Safari machen. Wir haben uns lange nach verschiedenen Angeboten umgesehen. Es gibt billigere Anbieter, keine Frage, aber wir hatten dafür anständige, fast schon luxiröse Unterkünfte. Wir waren insgesamt 5 Tage unterwegs, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha und Masai Mara. Die Natur und die wilden Tieren haben mich unglaublich beeindruckt. Unser toller Guide Jasan hat unglaublich viel gewusst über den Park die Tiere und das Land. Es hat einfach riesigen Spaß gemacht und ich werde mein Leben lang positiv daran zurückdenken!!!!. Wenn ich wieder eine Safari in Kenya unternehme, aufjedenfall mit Meektrails!
Me and my girlfriend, we are both in our mid-20s, went to Kenya in January 2022. After spending a week in Mombasa, we wanted to do another safari. We looked around for a long time for different offers. There are cheaper operators, no question, but we had decent, almost luxurious accommodation for it. We were on the road for a total of 5 days, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha and Masai Mara. I was incredibly impressed by the nature and the wild animals. Our great guide Jasan was very knowledgeable about the park, the animals and the land. It was just great fun and I will remember it positively for the rest of my life!!!!. If I go on safari in Kenya again, I will definitely go with Meektrails!
