Incredible experience with Richard, the best tour guide ever!
I done the 4 day safari with Lake Nakuru - cannot describe how amazing an experience this was! I've seen so many wild animals, met some amazing locals and Masai Mara Tribe! I sat and watched a pride of lions eating a buffalo and huge parade of elephants playing doing their thing. It was so good for the soul - I highly recommend. Richard our guide went above and beyond to offer us the best experience, he drove for hours and hours with a big smile on telling us anecdote on different species of fauna and flora. Lake Nakuru was not as impressive as I thought but not the sunnycreek's fault - I think if I was to re-do it I would go for the Gates of Hell instead!

Excellent Experience
This was a great experience overall. I had a 3 night Safari of Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru and was split between 2 groups as I moved locations. This wasn’t an issue and both guides were great and I would recommend both (Kikitu and Richard). I saw lots of animals, met great people, ate authentic Kenyan cuisine and felt 100% comfortable alone and would recommend this to any of my friends looking for a fun Safari at a reasonable price.

Once in a lifetime experience
Great value for money! The most affordable safari I have ever seen. Maasai Mara is amazing, we saw TONS of different animals and our guide was an amazing driver. Paying a little extra for water and airport transports was very worth it! Made the whole experience simple and helpful. The tent accommodation was much nicer than I expected with bathrooms and showers and mosquito nets, only the others in the camp were very noisy. As a single female traveler, I enjoyed meeting other travelers on the group join trip, 100% would recommend!

Absolutely brilliant!!
Such a brilliant experience, it was all arranged with James over WhatsApp. He was such a gracious host and guide, from collecting us from the airport, the drive to Mara.
We stayed at the Enkorok Mara Camp which was brilliant, the staff were super friendly and attentive, the food was also excellent.
The actual tour was magical, James knew the pack very well and we got to see a lot of animals, in fact, on the very first day of the tour we saw a pride of lions!! We also got to visit a local Masai village which was very educational and eye opening.
Thank you James for an experience of a life time, the trip was definitely value for money.

Amazing 4-day safari to Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru.
I recently had the pleasure of taking a 4-day safari to Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru with Sunnycreek Safaris and I must say, it was amazing. The highlight of the trip, however, was our guide, Kikitu.
Kikitu was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging. He had a wealth of information about the wildlife and the ecosystem, and he was more than happy to share his knowledge with us throughout the safari. He was also very patient and accommodating, always making sure that we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves.
Kikitu's passion for the wildlife was contagious, and his enthusiasm and excitement added to the overall experience. He was always eager to answer our questions, and his insights into the animals' behavior and habits made the safari so much more meaningful.
The safari itself was breathtaking. We saw so many animals, including lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras, giraffes, and many more. The scenery was stunning, and the wildlife was beyond words. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
I cannot recommend Kikitu and the safari excursion enough. If you are looking for an incredible adventure, with a knowledgeable and engaging guide, this is the trip for you. Thank you, Kikitu, for making this safari so special.

A Very experienced individual.
This experience was a great experience from start to finish. James communicational skills were great, from Nairobi he was explaining different sites to us.eg the trees/the area we were passing through etc. The tour is definitely value for money in the sense you get more than you expected. James was very competent and reliable. Even when we occurred a flat tyre in the game park. He was a true leader in which we all trusted him to fix the problem within a short time.

An amazing experience not to be missed
First time safari experience and sunnycreek did not disappoint. James was amazing, so kind and considerate. He knew the best places to spot any animal we wanted to see.
The tour is value for money and everything is well thought of from the stops for breaks , to the accommodation and everything else in between. James knows his stuff that’s for sure.
Please do not hesitate to book with Sunny Creek you won’t be disappointed.

The Magnificen Mara...
The Magic of Mara....
I don't know from where to start...

James was enthusiastic, responsive, and passionate while helping me set up the tour arrangements
I was a solo female traveler making arrangements with James over WhatsApp only ~1-2 months before the trip. James was reassuring I'd be safe, have an incredible time with memories to last a lifetime, and be able to see plenty of animals. All were true :)
Be advised, when you book solo, you will be paired with other travelers, solo, couples, friends, etc. Most of the time they are nice people but on the off-chance that they are not, have patience, otherwise, pay for your own private safari! :)
Some highlights were seeing 4/5 of the 'big five' and seeing :
baboons mating, hyenas and lions feeding on buffalo, lions cuddling, elephants guarding their babies, a massive heard of buffalos, vultures perching & flying, and pumbas trotting around.
Interacting with locals at the neighboring Masai Mara village was also a highlight! Highly recommend immersing yourself in this experience, as it is truly memorable, heart-warming and eyeopening.
I booked a 5 day safari and saw 4 national parks. Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Hells Gate (where we got to rent and ride bikes) were my favorites.
James gave me the passenger seat in the LandCruiser Jeep, which was such a comfortable car.
(Besides the Tour Guide, food and accommodations, you are largely paying for the vehicle since you are in it almost the majority of the safari, be it driving to & from national parks & accommodations or the game drives themselves. So I'm so glad we had a safe, comfortable & durable vehicle, especially during the African massages :D)
Johny was my tour guide and he was so forgiving while I was filming almost the entire experience. He was passionate about making sure that we had the best angles for photo/video capturing. He has superb driving skills -- (you couldn't pay me to drive in Kenya) -- and has the perfect personality and temperament for a guide.
When I got sick halfway through the trip, Johny drove me to a local clinic and stayed with me patiently & calmly while I was getting evaluated and we returned back to the accommodations. Huge 5 stars for that, I don't know what I would've done without him.
Johny was so knowledgeable about the flora and fauna. It's so clear that it's fulfilling to him to be able to share the gift of safari with his clients and he is born to do this. There were never too many or stupid questions we could ask Johny.
The accommodations we stayed in were really great given that this was a more budget-friendly safari. I had my own room, bathroom (toilets with running water for those wondering), and a bed in every single accommodation. All of the beds had mosquito nets, too. And the staff were extremely friendly.
If you like snacks, I recommend packing bars, fruit & nuts/chips if you think you'll need them throughout the safari.
I'm so glad I chose to support locally, pay direct to James and support his business, and have this experience. There are lots of travel organizers out there and they're way more expensive because there's a middle man. Definitely consider supporting local if you have the option to because it's a sustainable type of tourism.
James & Johny are forever friends. ASANTE!! <3
