Definitely recommended !
In March 2017 we did a self-drive tour in Kenya for 13 days. We rented a Nissan X-Trail (4WD) from bush-troop-safaris and were very satisfied with this car. The price was reasonable and the car in a good condition. Only in the Masai Mara we sometimes wished to have rented a bigger car with more ground clearance (like a Prado) as the roads were very rough there and we did not risk to pass every path therefore. We were very satisfied with the professional services of Jacqueline Mwathe and her team all the time. There were no hidden costs and after the return and check of the car we got back the credit card strip for the deposit without problems. Next time we will hire a car again with bush-troop-safaris and can give a full recommendation.

Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!
Okay we didn't really see tigers and bears but we did see all the other animals we hoped to see: 3 cheetahs, 4 lions, herds of elephants, many water buffalo, girafees, baboons, hyenas, rhinoceros, crocodiles, and more! Just had a lovely time with a great tour guide! We felt our guide was like the "Lion Whisperer" as he found them hidden and yet seemed to know where they were. Very cool

Dan the man
We had an incredible time on our Maasai Mara safari led by Dan from Bush Troop Safaris. He was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and found us so many incredible animals in the park. One of my favourite moments on the safari was when we shut the vehicle off, and just listened to the sounds of the park. "What the animals hear," he said. We were surprised we saw as much as we did! It was all thanks to Dan. We highly recommend this company. It's a deal! The Sopa accommodations were great too! Very clean and great staff. Extremely comfortable.

Amazing 10 days private Safari in Kenya
We just finished our fantastic 10 days private Safari for 2 persons in Kenya and we are really happy with our gorgeous experience.
With the support of Jacqueline, the sales manager, we designed a wonderful route through Ol Pejeta, Samburu, Aberdale, Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara in a 4x4 Land Cruiser Jeep.
The selection of hotels was fabulous, with very friendly staff, a very tasty buffet with a huge variety, and clean and very comfortable rooms.
One of the best part of our trip was definitely our friendly driver/guide Sammy. We are very impressed of his knowledge and his experience finding animals. We saw all the animals we were looking for and we really enjoyed his explanation about wildlife and Kenyan way of life.
If we have the chance, we definitely will repeat! :)

Jacqueline was kind, helpful and went above and beyond to help me get what I wanted out of my trip!
Jacqueline went beyond the expected - not only did she help plan my itinerary and safari, but she also was flexible and helped me navigate the city of Nairobi and get the best out of my trip. I can't imagine my 2 weeks in Keyna without her!

Car rental via "carrentalKenya"website
We rented a Toyota RAV4 via the selfdrivekenya.com website.
The car was in very good condition. The rental company was flexible on delivery and return address. Rental rate and rental conditions were good. Jacqueline was very assessable by phone.
We rented the car from our hotel just north of Nairobi airport and returned the car at the airport. We visited the National parcs just north of Nairobi including Nakuru, Samburu and Shaba national park. We think that the car is very suited to drive on the regular roads as well as the roads in most parcs. Exception may be the Shaba national parc. We think it is not a good idea to drive in the Shaba national parc. The access road to the lodge is just doable, but some of the secondary roads are really no fun to drive. We recommend to spend more time in Samburu instead. Note that the Samburu entrance ticket also allows access to Shaba, e.g. to reach your lodge or camp site.

Very efficient and reliable as well as offering the best quotes!
Truly amazing experience for the family. Even though it was off season for the migration we got to see the Big Five and really up-close. Our very experienced driver/guide Nester had tremendous local knowledge being a Masaai himself. Jaqueline in the office of Bushtroops was extremely helpful and patient since my wire transfer took some time. Will recommend Bushtroops any day.

10 days trip for Kenya & Tanzania
Jacqueline is very helpful, she gave us many good advices to arrange this 10 days safari trip. She even help to arrange the additional boarder crossing for my parents. We are very lucky to find them to be our safari agent. Our 10 days safari trip was amazing, we saw not only the Africa big 5, but also the black rhino, which is very rarely to be seen.
I really recommend the safari tour with Brush troop and Jacqueline.

My Best Trip Yet
I was amazed by how beautiful Kenya is and how wonderful the Kenyans are. I stayed 3 days in coastal Kenya (Kilifi, Nyali & Mombasa) and marveled on its pristine beaches and delectable seafoods. I did the 3 days in Masai Mara Safari trip which apparently has been the highlight of my trip to Kenya.
I luckily booked the safari package with Bushtroop Tours and Safaris. Jacqueline is very patient and helpful in answering all my queries about the tour. She made the overall transaction smooth and easy for me. I also appreciate how she helped me with some non-safari transactions like train ticket and hotel bookings. When I requested for an airport drop-off on the last day of the safari, she didn't hesitate and assured me that the driver will bring me to the airport. She even called and checked if I arrived at the airport on time.
The entire Masai Mara trip was so amazing. Seeing all the animals around you with the african savannah as the background is just surreal. I was lucky enough to see the great migration of thousands of wildebeest. I've also spent a day in the Masaai village, interact with the locals and learned more about their unique culture.
Masai Mara safari is a must-do experience and there is no other agency who can provide the best arrangement other than Jacqueline and her team in Bushtroop Tours and Safaris. I highly recommend this team.
