They did a good job
The tour operator did a good job in communications. Our safari driver is experienced and reliable.
Some of the activities are not handled by the tour operator, and things can go wrong. We had a terrible experience in the night game drive at Ol Pejata: the vehicle is a “bus”, instead of a Land Cruiser. The person controlling the light can only scan the left part, and we cannot stand up to watch the animals.
Another unfortunate thing is that a bridge at Masai Mara is destroyed by the flood. We are not able to reach the other side of the Mara river (sand river) to watch the great migration.
Overall, the service provided by the tour operator is aligned with our expectation.

Life trip but with dissatisfaction and disappointments
The pre-communication with Morning Star was very smooth, they finally customized a 10-day itinerary according to our ideas, we enjoyed most of the time in these 10 days, thanks for this;
The downside is that the problems with the vehicle happened 3 times in the 10 days and we had to change the vehicle twice for that;
What's even more uncomfortable is that when I expressed that I were not 100% satisfied with the trip, they directly recalled and deleted the link to write my review which had been sent to me already, even though I asked them for sending me the link again at least 2-3 times, they always tried to procrastinate and refuse, that’s unacceptable and directly affects my final evaluation.

Posted on Jul 12, 2024Hello,
We would like to address the above review as follows;
Our client booked a 10-day safari with us, and we allocated them a good driver guide. They enjoyed most of the safari, as evidenced by their feedback. First and foremost, we would like to apologize for the mechanical problem with the vehicle that occurred during the last days of the safari. Most of the roads in Kenya were severely damaged by the recent floods this year, and unfortunately, our car developed some mechanical problems on the way to Masai Mara. The driver guide informed the office, and we dispatched a mechanic based in Narok (a town close to Masai Mara) to check the problem, which was fixed within one hour. As we needed to take the vehicle for servicing and repair before it became a big problem, we requested the clients change their vehicle to another car we dispatched from the office to save the situation. I can confirm that the remaining part of the safari went well without any problems.
We endeavor to provide 5-star services to all our clients with well-maintained vehicles, and we have acquired a new fleet to serve our clients.

Memorable experience
The safari was a unique experience for our small group of three. We were traveling together with Augustine, who always went out an extra mile to make our trip unforgettable and to meet all our expectations. Comfort and adventure were harmoniously balanced and we enjoyed every moment immensely. Many thanks also to Emmie for the kind contact in advance. Absolute recommendation for a safari adventure in Kenya!

Can't Be Reliable & Responsive More!
I contact Morning star via wechat from China. They are the only one can provide instant response to Chinese without what's app. Email is not efficient to deal with all complicated requirements and intime cases. They did pretty well.
Throughout the whole trip, I didn't even check the hotel condition before departure. Eveything they arranged just meet my expectation and requirment so well. The fact proves that their recommendations are worthwhile to take. I myself recommend one additional spot (I take it from social media), which is the worst of the whole trip, hah.
I have refered to my friends around. If you want mid-to-high level trip in Kenya, I would recommend them to your preferred list.

They provide us with professional knowledge, enthusiasm and patience, considerate service.
This 18-day journey was absolutely one of our most memorable travel experiences in our life. Before our trip, our communication with Morning Star Tours & Travel was smooth and simple and they offered us with a good deal so we clicked quickly without considering too much. The route organization of this trip was reasonable, starting from Mount Kenya and Samburu, which is situated in the northern part of Kenya. We then visited Lake Nakuru, Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha and Amboseli in sequence, which almost covered all iconic attractions in Kenya. Every two national park tours were separated by a one-day lake excursion, and this arrangement made the whole 12-day safari trip less tired from both physical and visual reasons. From our perspective, all tourist attractions that we had been to were definitely worth visiting, although some animals are shared by some of these spots, these places have their own unique variety of animals as well. For example, we saw three different types of giraffes which differ from each other in different places. The balloon trip in Masai Mara was astonishing and this was a unique experience in this trip for sure. Each camp/ lodge/ hotel during this trip had their own special features, including fantastic geological sites, top food and considerate room service. Our tour guide& driver, Peter Rono, was absolutely a top man, with professional skills and extroverted personality. He could always pick us on time, teach us about the specialized knowledge of all animals and find a nice vision for taking pictures. His sharp eyesight and extraordinary communicating ability helped us to see cheetahs, leopards and lions many times during the trip. We had access to gain a deeper understanding about the development of Kenya and local people through communicating with Peter. Unfortunately, Kenya was affected by people’s demonstration at the days when we were in our safari trip. Thanks to Peter’ s sophistication and courage, he dealt with all potential challenges successfully along the way and kept us safe until sending us to the railway station where we finished our safari journey and took the train to Mombasa. During the last few days in Kenya, we tried scuba diving, snorkeling, fishing and chasing dolphins in Mombasa. We enjoyed ourselves in hotels and drew to an end for this excellent journey. We will recommend Morning Star Tours & Travel to our friends if they want to personalize a trip to Kenya and Tanzania.

Marvellous Masai guide.. cheerful n full of energy.. a real good host
Our experience with MorningStar was exemplary. The guides, the management, the vehicles, and everything I can think of in this trip was nothing short of perfection. As a frequent traveller I can say with utmost certainty that our journey with MorningStar was spectacular. Our guide Alex’s insight and experience ensured that we got only the best views during our safari’s and our event coordinator Wanja’s professionalism and hospitable attitude secured us the most comfortable and eventful hotels in the area. To conclude I would definitely recommend MorningStar to all fellow travellers for the best experience in Kenya.

Trip of a Lifetime
A year ago I decided that for my 50th, I wanted to go on an African Safari. I began looking for safari companies and happened to come across Morningstar Tours. You take a leap of faith and hope that your vision will turn to reality and from my first communication with Alice, we began to construct my dream. I cannot tell you how many times I sent Alice emails during this process, but each and everytime time she was quick to respond and so professional. In addition to organizing all aspects of the Safari, she also secured all our train tickets to Mombasa for after our Safari.
Finally the day came when John picked us up from Nairobi so that we could begin this adventure!
John was the ultimate guide as he led us for 2 days through the Masai. He was patient and understanding, dealing with 6 different personalities aboard. He catered to our requests with a smile on his face.
Everything I dreamed was coming to fruition before my eyes.
As a birthday surprise, Alice arranged for a group of Masai men to come to Zebra Plains, (our camp) to sing and celebrate my birthday with me. I cried tears of joy. I couldn’t believe how blessed I was.
I’ve traveled around the world and have seen some amazing places, but this experience has been life changing and one I will never forget.
Thank you Alice, John, Denis and everyone else at Morningstar Tours for all the hard work you put in for our group. We will never forget it.

Dennis was attentive to details, a good listener and responsive to our needs.
Our safari with Morningstar Safaris was incredible. Our guide, Jackson, was amazing! He was: prompt, reliable, responsive, compassionate, educational, informative, flexible, fun loving, great spotter of animals/birds, heartfelt, helpful and an absolutely amazing driver of the challenging "roads". We could not have chosen a better fit for our family than Jackson. Jackson even helped us navigate an issue with our lodging on our last night. We truly cannot thank him enough. We call ourselves Team Jackson as we were able to see so many animals/birds during our 8 days together ❤️. We saw elephants,lions,zebras,wildebeest, giraffes, vultures, leopard, flamingos, warthogs, gazelles, dick dicks,monkeys, baboons and so many more birds/animals. We were fortunate to see baby zebras/elephants/giraffes that were sometimes nursing. The animals would occasionally walk very close to our safari truck. Jackson helped us navigate these close encounters successfully.
The camps/ lodges chosen for us were wonderful. Staff at Osinon Camp was wonderful and the food was so delicious!
We felt like Dennis created a reasonably priced safari experience that was an excellent experience thanks to our guide Jackson!
We would definitely use Morningstar again.
By the way, be aware that the Serengeti National Park does controlled burns in late June. This was a concern for us as 2 of our party have asthma. The Camp was responsive and moved us to the tents that were further away from the fire sites.
Again, Dennis was very helpful with planning our safari experience and very upfront about price breakdowns. We felt safe and cared for the entire time.
