Great trip!
We booked with Morning Star for a mother/daughter trip (30y/o -60y/o) to Kenya from Canada for the 11 day Safari/beach combo.
Dennis sent a very thorough, detailed quote of what to expect on our trip including a breakdown of the price. For us, we booked due to the attention to detail in the quote and the affordability compared to others we received. We easily communicated through WhatsApp and he was always quick to respond.
We had Rono as our driver/guide for the safari, we felt safe and well taken care of. He was knowledgeable and answered all our questions. We always had water available.
For us, the trip was exciting and adventurous. It was a lot of driving and moving around to new locations(early mornings), but we were able to see lots of animals because of this! Our hotels were basic, but generally comfortable, always had a hot shower. Staff were friendly and accommodating.
Professional and amicable
loved the tour. had a great guide and would highly recommend this trip. Rono worked his tail off and was a great guide. We would highly recommend him.
The lodging was outstanding

Excellent experience
From landing and leaving Nairobi Morning Star provided a very pleasant and wonderful experience. Our guide Alex was the best. He was a friendly warm person who made sure we felt welcomed and gave us the best safari.

A reputable company you can trust! And a blast on Safari.
This was our first safari, and we were skeptical about what tour company to hire. After nearly being scammed by another tour company, we were impressed by the professionalism of Morning Star. It is commonplace to pay for the whole safari up front, so parting with thousands of dollars is not easy. Dennis, who helped us organize the trip, was extremely responsive and helpful in tailoring the safari to our needs. Our guide/driver, Peter, was prompt, professional, and very knowledgeable about the animals. He was also easy-going and got us everywhere we needed to be on time. He was an incredibly skilled and safe driver, which is needed on the bumpy roads, and in the wet, muddy conditions we experienced. The lodging was all impeccable— they have curated quite the experience! We organized the safari for our honeymoon and couldn’t be more pleased with how it turned out! I have highly recommended Morning Star to all my friends and family – book them, you won’t regret it!
Some tips: bring extra cash to tip hotel staff, if visiting Kenya apply for your tourist visa at LEAST a week in advance as it can take multiple business days, and bring your own binoculars in case there aren’t extras!

Amazing & Surreal!
Our experience with Morningstar was beyond perfect. From the very beginning, Dennis was super communicative and informative about Kenya, various parks etc. The planning felt very easy and seamless with him. Upon arrival, our tour guide, Alex, also made the experience surreal. Not only did we see the big 5, but so much more! Alex knows all the corridors and is very well connected. I highly recommend these guys, 10/10 and would use them again!!

7 day Magical Kenya & Tanzania Safari
We booked the 7 day Magical Kenya & Tanzania Safari with Morning star after researching and contacting a lot of different tour companies (about 20). I chose this tour as it covered the main areas of Kenya & Tanzania I wanted to see, and the price point for the level of the accommodation provided was better than most other tours I enquired about.
I had Issues with my Visa for Kenya due to their online system and Dennis went above and beyond to help me out and he actually got the visa sorted and sent it to me before Kenya Immigration did.
Of the 4 different places we stayed during this safari we could not fault any of them, great rooms/tents good food and great locations and all had very friendly staff.
Our tour guides were very knowledgeable and were able to get us in some great viewing spots during the safaris. Both guides helped with the boarder crossing between Kenya and Tanzania as it in not always that clear where you need to go.
All in All i cant fault the entire experience and would highly recommend this tour and Morning Star as they were very help full, before, during and after the Safari.

They are amazing!
Our driver was amazing, we did see a lot of different animals. We even saw a group of lions who just caught a giraffe.
We stayed in tsavo west at the santrim lodge, the place was good and clean. The food was good and different every time.
For the price it was an amazing experience!
Exceptional experience
I booked the four day three night safari and stayed first at the Masai Mara Sopa Losge and then the Zebra Plains camp. Both camps were wonderful. Willie was my guesses and everything was perfect. He picked me up on time at the hotel in Nairobi and began the journey. The roads were rough and Willie was an excellent driver. I mostly saw small animals at the Sopa lodge but it was quite spectacular. The next morning Willie drove to the Zebra Plains camp, again the roads were very rough but Willie got me there safely. Willie was an excellent guide and driver and I saw more animal’s than anticipated. Willie provided valuable insight on the wildlife, parks, and Kenya in general. This was a lifetime experience and I enjoyed it very much. The roads and trails in the park are very rough so be prepared to get bounced around but Willie did the best to make it comfortable as possible. Definitely recommend Morning Star for a safari an a experience of a lifetime.

This is the best safari company!
From the initial contact it was clear this company stood out above the rest due to how professional they were and that is one of the reasons we decided to book with them over the many others out there.
All communications were extremely quick, staff were friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble.
They kept in contact and checked in a couple of days before pick up and provided the drivers contact without being promoted.
Our driver and guide, Alex, turned up on time (actually slightly early) and made sure everything was ready for our safari. We were so impressed by the Land Cruiser as it was brand new and one of the nicest ones on the road. It was so comfortable!
After a few hours drive we were in tsavo west and we enjoyed some lovely game drives. I am in awe of Alex… it was quickly apparent his driving ability was incredible which helped to navigate some of the treacherous roads due to recent flooding and rainfall. This made the drives a lot more comfortable. His ability to spot the animals (whilst off road driving!) and to get us into the best spots was second to none. He also kept in constant contact with other guides to ensure we were not missing anything. He was doing numerous jobs at once on very long hours and never complained.
Our second park was Amboseli and some
of the elephant and lion viewings were amazing. The sunrise game drive viewing elephants in front of Mt Killi is a particular highlight.
We cannot thank Alex enough for helping us to make some amazing memories and being so dedicated to providing the best experience. He never got sick and tired of me asking for stops next to animals (no matter how unimpressive they were to others) or asking for photos.
The two lodges we stayed in were also beautiful. We especially liked the water hole viewing at Kilaguni Serena safari lodge. We watched them for hours in the night and were captivated by the hyenas and Jackals. The bats were also really interesting to watch. In the morning saw antelope and mongoose right outside our room.
My only regret is booking just the two parks with this company and staying in Diani for the rest of the time. Next time it will be the 7 day safari from Nairobi to Tanzania!
I cannot recommend this company enough in regard to cost, service, reliability and overall experience.
