Morningstar are an amazing company who tailor make your safari to your specific needs!
We started our initial enquiry about safaris with Morningstar in December 2023. Alice was so responsive in her replies. She used WhatsApp to communicate which made response times to queries very fast. She was extremely patient with us as our itinerary changed many times. She recommended the hotels and safaris to go on and also organised a bespoke tour of Nairobi for us so we could visit my mother’s childhood home. Alice was with us every step of the way during the booking process. We had initial reservations about booking direct with a company in Kenya from the UK but those reservations were unfounded as Alice was very meticulous in explaining everything to us. The payment process was also seamless, being an online transaction of which we received payment confirmations from Morningstar’s bank and Alice almost immediately.
There were 10 of my family on safari and Alex and Rono were our guides and drivers in two modern Landcruisers. We cannot commend both enough for their knowledge, experience and friendliness. They went out of their way to make us experience the real Kenyan safari by searching for the animals so that we could see them all. In fact we had seen all of the big five by day three!
I cannot recommend Morningstar enough and especially Alice, Alex and Rono. They are all amazing and I am happy to call them all our friends now that our safari is over.
If you are thinking of booking a safari in Kenya then you should look no further. These guys are top notch. They are a growing company but small enough to care about your individual needs!
5 stars!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Once in a lifetime, unforgettable experience
We came on this safari trip with our extended family, including our two young children, the youngest of who is 2 years old. We were looked after by the Morning Star team from the minute we landed. As we were a party of 10, we had two jeeps with drivers Alex and Ronno. They have given us a truly unforgettable safari experience, with memories that will honestly last a lifetime. They are expert drivers and have so much knowledge about all of the areas we visited and animals we saw. With their expertise, we saw The Big 5, The Ugly 5, and much more in between and we’ve all learnt so much. As mentioned, we had our 2 year old son with us and they provided a toddler car seat, which was essential. We have felt very safe and secure the whole time we were with them. Nothing is too much trouble for these guys, and it feels like they have become friends. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Morning Star if you’re thinking of coming on a Kenyan safari.

A dreamlike journey through the animal world
The whole trip to Kenya at Morningstar was enjoyable. A special thanks to my consultant Joysharon, who is very responsible and professional. Not only did they pick us up at the airport at 5am, but they also helped us arrange a good driver and vehicle. During our daily Safari, we are constantly paying attention to our satisfaction and feelings. We saw almost all the animals in Masemara. Lions, cheetahs, leopards, buffaloes, wildebeest, zebras, hippos, giraffes... Also saw lions and cheetahs hunting, lion and cheetah cubs. We had an extraordinary holiday at morning star. Special Recommendation: Be sure to stay in Masai Mara for more than three days in July and August, and you will see the million-level wildebeest galloping in Masai Mara that you will never forget. I will go back to Kenya again and still look for the morning star. Watching the migration is really an addiction!

Amazing travel company .
From start to finish our experience of booking holiday was excellent with Alice and she was very prompt in replying to our queries. Nothing was too much for her .
Our drivers Alex & Rono were amazingly knowledgeable. They all made our family holiday very memorable. I returned to Kenya after 50 years and they also tailor made my trip by taking me to see my birth place & school.

Excellent consultant and guide, amazing journey!
We compared ten travel agencies before choosing Morning Star Tours & Travel, and we couldn’t be happier with our decision. Our trip was in August, during the peak season in Kenya, so many hotels were already fully booked. Alice went above and beyond to confirm availability at every hotel, ensuring we had a place to stay. She was incredibly responsive and quick to reply, and the pricing was fair and transparent, with each cost clearly laid out.
Before our departure, we decided at the last minute to add a hot air balloon ride. Alice quickly coordinated with multiple companies and managed to secure a booking for us. One of the highlights of our trip was our guide, John. His professionalism was evident from the start. Coming from a family of guides, with his father also being one, John demonstrated exceptional skill and passion for his work. His driving was smooth and confident, and he had an incredible ability to spot animals quickly and get us close to them. Thanks to John, we witnessed the wildebeest migration, a cheetah hunt, and numerous lions. He provided insightful commentary on each animal we encountered, deepening our understanding and appreciation of the wildlife.
Overall, the team at Morning Star Tours & Travel made sure every detail was taken care of, from the pre-trip arrangements to the day-to-day experiences. Both John and Alice made our Kenya trip unforgettable, and I highly recommend them to anyone planning a visit to Kenya.

The final week of the trip was at the coast.
We travelled down from Emali to Mombasa on the impressively renovated rail network.
At Diani Sea resort( as with all the accommodations) we were looked after very well and enjoyed a relaxing time with lots of good food, drinks, entertainment and a memorable snorkelling Safari.

Very nice
A precious game drive with a local Masai guide
Many people travel in search of something out of the ordinary. I am one of them.
When I chose this safari tour, my first requirement was to say in a lodge with a view of Mt.Kilimanjaro. My second requirement was that it was a private tour.
I searched for tours on the following website: https://www.safaribookings.com/tours.
Among the nearly 200 tours available, there was one that included a balloon safari.
Mornigstar Safaris

Reservation for the August tours are filling up fast.
When I didn’t know how to enter the information required to pay the bill, they quickly send me an email to explain. It was very reassuring. Shortly after making the reservation, I was informed that the lodge I had planned to stay at was fully booked and that another lodge had been provisionally reserved. At first I was really disappointed. However, when I looked into it, I found that it was a very attractive lodge, with a view of Kilimanjaro from all rooms, and many Masai people working there. Moreover, the tour price was reduced by 42US dollars. Thank you for your consideration so that the quality of the tour would not drop. In Nairobi, a large-scale demonstration against tax increases and corruption was held one week before the tour started. Watching the live footage made me quite uneasy. I immediately emailed Morningstar Safaris to ask about the current situation, I was relived to receive a prompt reply.
Before I knew it, the first day of my tour had arrived. I thought the car that picked me up at the hotel in Nairobi would be a safari car, but it was a luxury Toyota sedan. The driver, Simon, told me that we would change to the safari car at Amboseli National Park, At the hotel where I was staying, I met William Sunte, a local guide and driver in Masai clothing. From here, we headed to the safari park. The game drive in safari car started. Sunte moved the car skillfully so that I could take pictures of animals.
I told him that I wanted to lions and tusker elephants with long tusks. While I was having lunch at Observation Hill, Sunte contacted a fellow driver and then took me a family of a dozen lions. I was very impressed and took lots of photos and videos.
On the way to his Masai village near the lodge, he guided me to an elephant with the largest tusks in East Africa. It was an exciting experience to go in a safari car on a path that only the local guide, the Masai people, knew.
At the Masai Village, Sunte’s brother guided me. I bought a few accessories. Although it was not for sale, he gave me his brothe’s Runge Pole. Naturally, Sunte knew Amboseli National Park inside and out, and thanks to him, I was able to take thousands of memorable photos and videos. It was my first experience to ride a hot air balloon. Moreover, I was able to see many animals such as elephants, giraffes, zebras, and Thompson’s gazelles from a different angle in the scenery that quietly flowed below. It is an attraction that I recommend you to experience at least once. The champagne after landing with the fellow passengers was the best. My two-night, three-day game drive was much more than I expected. It is a trip that is not easy to come, so I recommended choosing a reliable safari tour company. I stopped by the Morningstar Safaris office twice and was treated very friendly. I really appreciate the lovely Masai blanket that I received as a souvenir from Morningstar Safaris.
When I visit Kenya again, I will rely on Morningstar Safaris to provide me with the best, safest and most comfortable trip possible. Thank you for all your help. I am so grateful for the opportunity to be surrounded by wild animals for these three days. I feel that my everyday life in Tokyo was something out of the ordinary, and it made my life after returning home more enjoyable.
Asante sana.
