Above the expectations
We couldn’t recommend Morningstar Safaris more.
The service was excellent from the beginning to the end.
Dennis allowed me to prepare a tailor made 14 days Safari that became the best trip in my life. I had to make my family fall in love with Kenya as much as I have been for the last 34 years, from the 1st time I landed in this country.
And It has already happened on day 1!
Alex was the perfect guide to drive us to spot and take pictures of all the wonderful animals that I had in mind before the departure, with great experience and knowledge of animals behavior.

I am very glad choosing MorningStar as the planner and service provider for my first safari in Kenya. They planned our trips in Amboseli, Mara and the lakes in very short time, and I enjoyed thw trip very much. We've travelled from one destination to another smoothly and timely, visited scenic landscapes like the Kilimajaro and Mara, and saw hundreds of antelops and zebras running and living on the grass, cheetahs and leopards coming and going in glances, lions roaring and patrolling between bushes, and elephants and giraffes walking and flocking. What a circle of life...

From start to finish, the process was seamless. Staff members are super friendly and available at all times. All of my questions and concerns prior to the trip were answered immediately. It was my wife’s birthday so I asked for a surprise bday cake …. Not only did they arrange a bday cake, they created an UNFORGETTABLE birthday surprise with the Maasai Warriors traditional dance! It was AMAZING! I highly recommend Morningstar Safari to anyone looking for a life changing experience!

Amazing Safari Experience
We had a wonderful Maasai Mara safari experience and highly recommend Morning Star Tours. From the beginning, Joseph was very responsive and able to customize our safari to include extra game drives and a village visit. Everyone was on time and reliable, we knew we were in great hands! We felt the safari price was a great value - included all our meals, a private guide, and accommodation. Everything was exactly as described and there was no "nickel and diming" or extra fees/charges. Our safari guide Joseph was experienced (20+ years experience!) and truly amazing. As a veterinarian and animal lover I was concerned about the impact of our presence on the animals but Joseph was able to get us great views without stressing animals or interfering with their lives. Morning Star delivered us a truly magical honeymoon in Kenya. Dennis’s prompt and professional replies and a thorough and transparent custom itinerary made us sure they were the company to go with. Our guide, Chalo Masila (Alex) was not only passionate and thoroughly knowledgeable conservationist, he was also very friendly, welcoming and organized. He is highly respected amongst hotel staff and other guides and this paid dividends- he was able to organize and direct the safari vehicle traffic to allow our vehicle to be the closest one to the animals- especially around the lions and leopard. Our safari vehicle was brand new- less than 12,000KM, and was the envy of the other guides. They delivered us a trip that included seeing over 30 unique safari animals (including the big 5), beautiful birds, the petting a rhino and of a hyena cub, sunrises over the great migration in a hot air balloon, elephants in front of our hotel patio, dances with the Masai Mara, and luxurious accommodations with truly exceptional hotel services. We were comfortable, safe, and in perpetual awe. We will go back to Kenya, and we will use Morning Star as our tour company. Thank you Kenya, and thank you Morning Star.

Attentive to detail and ensuring customer satisfaction as number one priority
We used Morning Star Tours & Travel for our recent 7 day safari experience. We provided Dennis at a high level what we were looking for and the dates that we were looking at. Dennis arranged everything for us including all the lodges and even spoke to all the lodges and camps of our dietary requirements. Morning Star sent us a detailed itinerary to review which details all the activities each day and the meal plan. Their communication during both arranging the safari, during and after was excellent. Nothing was too much for them.
At the start of the safari, Dennis personally came to meet us at the hotel we were staying to ensure any final questions were answered and that we were comfortable with the driver. Our safari covered both Kenya and Tanzania so we had a driver in Kenya and a different on in Tanzania. Both drivers were chatty and made us feel comfortable with them. Their knowledge of the area and the national parks were immense and they would give us great insight.
We had to cross the Kenya/Tanzania border and we were not too sure of the process but the drivers made sure they stayed with us throughout the process and only left once they handed us to the next driver.
Safari holidays are not cheap for the service we received from Morning Star, the reliability of the company, their attentiveness, the quality of the lodges and camp we stayed at, it was great value for money.
We did a private tour (4 of us) rather than a group tour which allowed the tour to be flexible each day and I would that if you are prepared to pay a little more, do a private tour rather than the group tour (just so you can decide the pace and have that personal experience).
We wouldn't hesitate booking via Morning Star Tours & Travel next time and highly recommend them.

Amazing! Very communicative and helpful all through the trip.
From the moment I reached out to Morningstar Dennis and his team were nothing but professional, helpful and extremely communicative. Dennis crafted an itinerary for the amount of time I’d be in Kenya (about two weeks) and included a number of different national parks to go on safari as well as ending off in Diani Beach for a bit of relaxation. Willy my driver and tour guide was amazing and went above and beyond to ensure I had the best safari ever. Especially for the value and level of service you get I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Morningstar to friends and family!
