Savannah Woods is easy to work with and responds quickly and completely
Savannah Woods has been great right from the start. We did a 1 night 2 day safari to Amboseli National Park. Lucy, the organizer has been very communicative and quick to answer. She gave us several options of hotels of varying price ranges, for this tour . The information she sent in her proposal was very detailed and complete.
Our driver Anthony arrived on the dot at the time specified. He was great, sharing lots of information. We did 2 game drives and saw amazing things including a pride of lions eating a buffalo. Anthony has a wealth of knowledge to share. He was unhurried and went the extra mile in every way. I give him 5 stars. Thanks Savannah Woods.

Very good safari experience
We went on a 3-day safari arranged by Savannah Woods Safaris - and it was really great. Lucy helped us with finding the right accomodation and vehicle, or deciding on a grouped or private tour. She and Joel (our driver/guide) was very flexible about pick up/drop off times and locations, which made our lives easier and we really appreciated it. They were quick to respond any time on Whatsapp too.
Joel went above and beyond to get us to see all kinda animals and he knew just the right spots, and he also shared some interesting things about them.
I would recommend booking with them, it was a great value.
Thank you Lucy and Joel!

Excellent safari operaror
I took the luxury tour to Amboseli and from Lucy, the agente, to Tony, the driver/guide, everything went smooth and as contracted. The park is astonishing, and Tony Made every effort to get the best out of it. A special word for the Okusai lodge, where you can hace breakfast at the foot of the Kilimanjaro while warching a herd of elephants grazing nearby.

Excellent customer service
Although I had many concerns since this was our first trip to Africa, Lucy & Josphat have gone above & beyond to meet our needs. We kept communicating on WhatsApp the entire time and even found a driver for us in Mombasa.
Our safari lasted 3 days and it was what I dreamed & some more. We were very lucky to have a driver like Kush, who has 15 years experience with safaris and basically knew every single bird I asked about. :) He is very well organized, drives well and has a really good sense of humour.
On the first evening he took us to a 2h game drive and he knew exactly how to park the car so we can take the best shots. He really had patience as myself and another team member wanted to take many photos. :D We witnessed the most beautiful purple sunset (see pictures attached). At dinner my husband arranged a surprise with the stuff and a group from Maasai Mara brought me the cake and sang to me on my 40th birthday. ;)
On the second day we had 12 hours of game drive, my husband and I were happy to see all the big 5 except the rhino and many other animals. The most amazing part was that we saw the leopard twice in one day, although this happens extremely rare! Kush took some very nice photos of every person on the safari car, we ate the meal packed by the hotel and he also took us to the Mara river, where we had a short tour to see the hippos & crocodiles.
On the last day we visited the Maasai Mara village where we learned a lot about their culture, we danced and also bought some souvenirs. Then we went back to Nairobi and had a flight to Mombasa for a week of relaxation on Diani beach.
It was an amazing adventure and I encourage everyone to try it at least once in their life!

Everything was excellent
At booking time I had all the needed
information from Lucy, communication was good from the Cristina begining and all along the safari she was checking with me if everything was ok. We spend 4 memorable days in Massai Mara and Nakuru, our guide Moises was kind and really experienced, he put us in the best place to see the animals. We saw a lot of them, of course big 5 and lots more. He was always taking care of us and he did a great job. I definitely recommend Savannah woods Safaris!
Fantastic experience
We had an extraordinary experience in the Masai Mara with Savannah Woods Safaris. The organization was impeccable, from communication abroad to the end of the activity. It was worth the cost and on schedule. I would like to write a word of special appreciation for our guide, Johnstone, for his patience, competence, perseverance and friendliness towards our group. I recommend it to other travelers.

Incredible experience
I was concerned about booking a safari through the internet but I’m very glad I booked with Savannah Woods safaris. They were great from start to finish. Communication with the team prior to the trip was quick and easy, as was the pick up. Our tour guide Johnstone was fantastic. Not only was he knowledgeable, amenable, and funny, but he went out of his way to ensure we see as many animals as possible and have the most successful safari. I highly recommend using this company!

Amazing experience in Maasai Mara
I never do reviews but this time I couldn’t help but do it. My experience has been amazing with Lucy being always responsive, sharing all the info, and checking on me as well during the safari. But I have to say that the best part came with Sami, our guide and driver. Since the first moment it was easy too see how much he cares about the people with him, super knowledgeable, I learnt a lot from him, and a good person to jokes with. He drove us around for 10h no stop even if he was sick, thanks a lot Sami for this experience and the Savannah group for the great organisation.

Very responsive and great value for money
Lucy was very helpful and always very quick to respond to our questions and requests.
Our driver Evans was great, very friendly and reassuring. He knew the park and other drivers well and was able to get us really close to lions and even an elusive leopard. He went out of his way to help members of our group catch their flight on the way home.
The tented lodge was great for our needs and we were fed well.
For a more budget friendly package we would definitely recommend Savannah Woods safaris.
The only thing I would say that could have been better was that in our group we had members who had booked with different operators and were staying in other accommodation. This meant we didn't get to socialise in the evenings which was a shame but also meant we spent half an hour in the morning and evenings picking up and dropping off everyone from their camps. I appreciate the scheduling won't always work out but I would have liked to have been aware in advance.
