Excellent experience with Savannah woods, especially Mr Joseph
We had an amazing experience with Savannah woods, our guide Joseph is highly reccomeded he accommodated our needs and the booking prior with Lucy was very good. They tailored the tour to our timing restrictions and locations required. Masai mara, lake Nakuru, lake naivasha and ol pejeta all part of the itinerary. It was a shame to not see Hella gate NP as there was the safari that day.

SUPERB
This tour was long awaited “dream tour” and it couldn’t have been more perfect.
The destination Masai Mara ,was undoubtedly an awestruck experience but like they say it’s the journey that’s helps you reach there.
Richard/ Richi was an outstanding guide,Driver,companion.
Wonderful human being, who is well aware of the expectation of a traveler, he was proactive in every way. We were 6 different solo travelers and he connected the entire group in a very jolly way that all of us ended becoming fun and interesting group. We had zero hiccups or trouble in the entire journey from my hotel to safari and back.
The tour operater Lucy was always quick on her toes for every response before and post the safari.
I took a budget package but the experience was premium in every way, from pick up - food - safari - dropping back.

informative and entertaining
Richie is an excellent tour operator. He has been nothing but informative, accomodating and entertaining.
I went on a Masai Mara safari tour in early April with Richie as my tour guide. He is a well experienced tour guide who knows his way around the park. He also gives a ton of information about the animals as he takes the group in the game drive. If I come back to Masai Mada I would love to tour with Richie as my tour guide again.
Highly recommend Savannah tours and Richie !!

Great Safari experience with Savannah Woods tour!
I had a great experience as a female single traveler with Savannah Woods Safari! If you are looking for a safe, good deal and five star service in Masai Mara, definitely choose this tour agent!
1. The co-ordinator Lucy is super patient and considerate, she offered to pick me up even my hotel is more than 1 hour's drive away. and Lucy also provided me dinner options after the tour when I was still in Nairobi before my flight.
2. Our driver Albert is a very experienced driver (he said 6 years of experience!) , good at tracing animals and dealing with roughness road. I saw all the animals I was supposed to see! Albert is also very punctual, never be late, and knowledgeable to answer all my questions. On our driving to the Masa Mara reserve and back to Nairobi, I feel very safe to sleep all the way on the trip.
3. The place I stayed is also super nice, it's upgraded tent, quiet with good food and nice staff.
one small suggestion to the tent lodge: some guests woke up so early and talked loudly in their tent that woke me up too! So if you have enough budget, chose lodge over tent, because tent do have the noise problem if your neighbours are not quiet.
But I won't blame Savannah because my loud neighbours are from another tour.

Good journey
We enjoyed the tour so much. The operator, Lucy, is flexible and managed our journey well. The car is new and confortable, the driver, Albert, is high skilled driving. The camp is clearly and the staffs are so friendly. I recommend this tour.

Memories for a lifetime
If you are like me, you are reading review after review trying to decide if one company is better than another and if it safe, reliable, honest, and will deliver the goods. What I can say is that Savannah Woods came through with flying colors all around.
I am a solo traveler on this trip and they helped integrate me into a group and made it feel seamless. They were excellent with communication and followed through at each step.
Our guide, Kikitu, was well-connected and worked hard to deliver an amazing experience. He knows what he he doing and I am so grateful to him for guiding this trip!
Also, the accommodations in my trip - Sopa Lodge at Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru Lodge - were above and beyond all my expectations. WOW!
Feel confident if you book with Savannah Woods. I was a bit nervous at first but it came together in an amazing way.

Very good safari
We had an excellent 3 day safari with Savanbah Woods. The Ashnil hotel had excellent service, good food and the best thing was the permanent smile of its employees. Anthony, our game driver really tried hard to show us the Big 5 of Samburu and he succeeded. Thank you very much Anthony for making us have an incredible vacation.

Responsive, accommodating, adventure!!
Had an EXCELLENT experience coordinating with Lucy for our 4 day 3 night safari. Lucy was very responsive and quickly sent out multiple quotes based on different accommodation budget/types, so I had options to choose from.
I definitely recommend going for their budget tent camp option, Mara Olodare. Way better than the Lenchada camp that the others in my group went to. Incredible food and hospitable staff! We had an amazing stay.
Great tour groups as well, and tour guides that were flexible on what the group wanted to do. Value for money was great.

They were easy, quick, flexible, and created an amazing safari experience!
I requested a quote only a couple days before the dates for the trip, and they did an amazing job booking everything quickly and exactly as advertised. Peter was the driver and helped set everything up and did an amazing job driving in very muddy conditions where other vehicles got stuck. He also went out of his way to talk to the rangers and make sure we saw a cheetah at the very end at our last chance. I definitely recommend this company and to go on a safari with Peter!
