Great!
Went on a 3 day tour to Masai Mara. This was my first safari, and it was so much better than I have expected it to be. Friendly, experienced and knowledgeable driver (Peter), who made sure we got the best views of all the animals. And what views that are! You really have to see it yourself to believe it. Also, I heard a lot of people complaining about the long ride from Nairobi to the Mara. I actually think it's a lot better to drive there as it gives you a glimpse of the daily Kenyan lives, from the city all the way to the wilderness of the Mara. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic Safari adventure
This was my first time to Kenya, and trying to select a safari was initially very intimidating, but I am so glad I selected Savannah Woods Safari for my first experience! Lucy was extremely responsive, and the whole trip was so simple, from pickup to drop-off. My guide, Alvin, was knowledgeable, patient, and made the experience unforgettable. He made sure that I was able to see everything Masai Mara had to offer in my 3-day safari. I stayed at Mara Sopa lodge, and it was wonderful. The cabins were peaceful, the hospitality was amazing, and the food was delicious, perfect for relaxing after a long game drive. I do wish I had paid attention to other reviewers who mentioned having enough cash, as it was difficult to judge how much to bring, and there was definitely a perception as a Westerner that I should have endless cash supplies. That said, I would highly recommend Savannah Woods safaris for anyone traveling to Kenya, and definitely ask for Alvin to be your guide!

Exceptional and professional team
I’ve had the best experience ever with Savannah Woods , Lucy was very professional, responsive and patient with my several queries and adjusted the best plan for my trip and I was very impressed by the way she followed up before and during the trip to make sure everything is going well and as planned.

Best local tour operator and driver for Masai Mara
Great communication by lucy from beginning till end. But our star was Mr Mousa who has best game driving skills and experience. He shared his immense knowledge and provided us great spotings as well. I would recommend savannah any day for Masai mara trip.

Better than expected
The whole experience was perfect. The lodge was beautiful, clean, quiet and relaxing. The game drive was great fun and we managed to spot most of the big 5 (we saw lions, zebras, giraffes, cheetahs, hippos etc). During the game drive you get a lunch box which has a lot of food and they have a veg option. Musa, our driver, was amazing! He is fun and really looked after us. He picked us up and dropped us off in Nairobi and he was always on time. I really recommend it and it is great value for money. Thank you guys for everything :)

Amazing!
This was my first time traveling solo. I chose to come to Kenya for a tour of the Maasai Mara with Savannah Woods Safari. The company was wonderful at keeping in touch with me both before my arrival and checking that all was well during my adventure. Alex was my guide and I cannot say enough to complement his kindness, professionalism, knowledge and dedication to being on Safari with me! He was always punctual (even when I was not) with a clean touring van, filled with bottled water, ready to go. Every day I knew clearly what the agenda was for that day and the next. He was always inquiring as to what my expectations were and what I wanted to see or do, when I wanted to eat, get up, needed a washroom, etc. He clearly knew the other Safari drivers and they all worked together to ensure we saw a huge number of animals and birds. I always felt safe and loved just talking with him in the van. I am such an introvert, I dreaded that the most, but talking with him and spending time was so much fun I looked forward to it!! Don’t Hesitate to Book!

Superb!!
It started with Savannah Woods Safaris when I received the package quote from Lucy Wangui. She was very helpful and accommodating. She gave me all the details of the tour and answered all my questions.
Upon arrival at the Nairobi Airport, Alex, our tour guide & driver greeted us. He was so helpful with our luggage. He made sure that we are very comfortable.
We can considered Alex as Mr. Webster about Maasai Mara. He was very knowledgeable and informative about the wild animals of Maasai Mara park.
It is worth the value of money as we had an amazing experience
We will highly recommend the Savannah Woods Safaris to our friends.

MAGNIFICENT
My wife and I did a 5 day Safari which we organised with Lucy who was very helpful.
The value for money was excellent.
We cannot recommend our guide more highly Dennis was Magnificent. He went the extra to always get us in the best position as quickly as possible hence we got some magnificent photo opportunities.
We also did 2 Days in Nairobi in addition with Dennis.
One piece of advise avoid doing any tours on the last day of school term as all venues are over run by school children to the point you cannot get access as they have compulsory excursions before they can break for end of term.

Excellent tour. I did 3 days 4 nights in Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru. Would recommend and don't miss Lake Nakuru. I traveled alone and was placed with other travellers from other tour companies. The entire group was lovely.
Peter was our driver and was a great guy. He was often late for pickups which is understandable given the factors that go into an elaborate tour.
Unfortunately we missed a wave of the great migration by a week at Masai Mara. We did see the Big 5 despite this. Peter was very knowledgeable.
I would recommend staying at the Lake Nakuru Lodge. It was the highlight of my tour. Great service and scenery. Excellent food.
Lucy was beyond exceptional. She was attentive and thoughtful. She checked in with me and when mistakenly paid twice she went out of her way to refund me. Grade A service!

Excellent services
It has been absolute pleasure having Savannah as our tour partner for 3D masai mara safari. Lucy helped us from the beginning with customized quotation, good deals and other information about masai mara. One of the best things which I loved is timely response across all queries. Also, our tour guide Alex was wonderful to be with in those 3 days and he tried to show us the best spots throughout our journey and also helped with few food related issues with the lodge.
