Amazing 10 day safari adventure
We had a great and wonderful experience with Meijo Safari and Michael our tour guide. He was taking extra care and went above and beyond to make our safari extremely memorable allowing us to see not just each animal once but multiple times through out the trip, prioritizing what each of us individually loved to see. He is very knowledgeable about where the animals and knew everything about them, navigating the rough bumpy terrain and complex routes to make our trip truly a trip of a lifetime. He is friendly, caring, respectful and professional during the entire trip. He paid special attention to each and every person in our family so that everyone had a great and adventurous experience. Thank you so much!!!

Definitely a Trip of a life time
Michael, our guide, from Meijo Safaris did an excellent job maneuvering the complex routes of Serengeti, Ndutu, Terengire, and Ngorongoro and explaining and showing us all the animals we had only dreamt of seeing up close. I felt like I was in the National Geographic show when I came here looking at close ups of very rare animals like the leopard (2 of them), over 10 cheetahs (one came onto our jeep!!) , and over 80 lions through out the entirety of our trip! This was all thanks to Michael for prioritizing what we came here to see and making sure we get to the animals asap. He was very friendly to our family, entertaining us during the long drives, and extremely flexible especially when we wanted to change some plans or took a longer time get ready from our hotel. I would highly recommend Meijo safaris for anyone traveling to Tanzania and Michael as well.

Fantastic!
We went on a long 10 day Safari from Arusha. Meijo safari was simply fantastic for the entire trip. Our tour guide Michael was amazing!
Michael was friendly to all our family members including our kids and had a lot patience. He knew all the complex routes in all the places such as Tarangier, Serengeti, NDUTU, ngorongoro safari parks. Michael was an expert in spotting Cheethas and Leopards and he know exactly where to find them.
Daudi was good in organizing the whole trip and we were able to stay in luxury hotels without any issues at all.
I would strongly recommend anyone to pick Meijo safaris and Michael as a guide.

Maijo delivers seamless, personalized safaris with expert guides for an unforgettable Tanzania exper
Our safari experience with Maijo in Tanzania was absolutely incredible! From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized, and the trip exceeded all our expectations. This was my second safari in Africa, and I can confidently say that it was far superior to my first—it was truly a journey of a lifetime.
One of the highlights of our adventure was our guide, Frank. He was not only incredibly knowledgeable about the wildlife, landscapes, and culture but also had an infectious passion for the region that made every moment feel special. Frank’s sharp eye for spotting animals, his engaging storytelling, and his warm personality added so much to our experience. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better guide.
Our journey began in Tarangire National Park, where we were captivated by its stunning baobab trees and the large herds of elephants for which it is famous. Frank ensured we saw plenty of wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, and even some lions, while sharing fascinating insights about the park’s ecosystem.
Next, we ventured into the iconic Serengeti National Park, and it truly lived up to its reputation. From witnessing the great migration to observing lions and leopards, every moment was magical. Frank’s ability to navigate the vast plains and find hidden gems added so much to the experience. Although we didn’t spot any cheetahs, the Serengeti’s sheer beauty and incredible wildlife made it unforgettable.
Finally, we explored the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, a place that felt like stepping into a natural wonderland. The dense concentration of animals in such a picturesque setting was astounding. Frank helped us spot the “Big Five” and gave us a deeper understanding of the crater’s history and significance. It was the perfect conclusion to an amazing safari.
The entire journey was seamless, and we felt well taken care of every step of the way. Maijo’s attention to detail, coupled with Frank’s expertise, made this experience truly unforgettable. If you’re planning a safari in Tanzania, we wholeheartedly recommend Maijo and hope you’re lucky enough to have Frank as your guide. You won’t regret it!

The best guide who treated me kindly at a good distance
He was calm and courteous throughout our five-day safari. On the road, he was able to accurately name the animals that could be seen in the far distance and supplemented us with the characteristics of each, making for an enjoyable safari. We were able to exchange information closely with other drivers on the phone and quickly figure out where the precious animals were, and when we arrived at the site, with about 10 cars parked and looking for animals, we were able to accurately locate the animals and see the ones we wanted. big5 animals were seen successfully, and we were very satisfied with the safari drive! I am very happy with the results. I would highly recommend Herman to everyone!
Finally, I would also like to thank Daudi for all of his email correspondence with me over the past 6 months regarding the tour. We went through dozens of detailed email exchanges, but he always replied immediately and gave us the information we needed.

Amazing experience
Meijo Safaris provided impeccable service coming through in everything they promised and beyond. Doudi was very patient and helpful with us during the planning and booking process. The same continued when we arrived at our destination. The attention to details, care and concern about our comfort and well-being was beyond compare. Our Safari guide Michael was very knowledgeable and resourceful. We could see a lot of animals from short distance.
We will highly recommend Meijo Safari to our friends and family.

Great experience all around
The tour met and exceeded our expectations. It was all very well organized - we did not have to worry about a thing. The driver Herman was very knowledgeable and easy going. He tried his best to go above and beyond to find the animals and explain what/who/why was happening. The food was of great quality as well, hot meals 3 times a day - wide variety to choose from. Finally, lodges we stayed at were exceptional - made part of the experience. Noone tried to be pushy and sell us anything on additional along the way so there are no hidden costs.

Dependable and Experienced
Our guide, Michael, did a fantastic job driving; locating game; and explaining the plants, animals, and people we encountered on our 8-day safari. Prosper, our chef, prepared excellent meals using fresh ingredients that included sufficient fruits, vegetables, and meats, and, most importantly, the food was delicious.
The only concern during the safari was we seemed to start the day later than I would like given that most predators sleep during the day. We did see plenty of sleeping lions, but I preferred to see them while they were more active. After discussing this with Michael and Prosper, they agreed to an early start, and we were the first truck to enter the Ngorongoro crater that day.
The only concern after the safari is that, when I went to write the review here, I noticed that the last review was by someone with my last name. While I am dubious that this is a review from an actual customer, I still want to recommend Meijo to others from someone who did indeed go on an 8-day safari with Meijo.
Here are some recommendations for others:
Discuss the exact lodging that will be provided. I was under the impression that we were only staying one night in a tent and was surprised to learn that there were three nights planned in tents. After reading the proposal again, I realized that this was a possibility, but it was not clear whether a tent or room would be provided.
If you want to start your game drives at sunrise, make sure you tell Daudi, the owner, before he finalizes the plans so the guide and chef are prepared. In this case, I would plan to leave an extra generous tip since the chef will have to wake up extra early to prepare a warm breakfast.
Daudi recommends $10 daily minimum tip. I personally feel this is inadequate and would hope others are willing to leave a much more generous tip.
Bring plenty of cash to tip sufficiently and buy things as needed. None of the places we went accepted cards. Bring USD in the amount sufficient to tip for the best service possible and decrease as needed if the staff doesn't meet your expectations. Add to this amount any additional you want to allot for souvenirs, snacks and coffee purchases, and unexpected expenses. Upon arrival, the driver can take you to the best exchange. There are ATMs available in some places with max withdrawal 400,000 TSH ($160 USD) at a cost of 15,000 TSH ($6 USD) for any amount withdrawn.

Words special words to explain how professional this company is....
We wish we could have more words to explain.
We were on a safari with Mr Michael as our guide even if i dont have experience with another guide to compare but am sure he is the one of the best guide in Tanzania.
He is very professional and speaks both fluent english language and french language, he got eagle eyes to see even the hidding animals from miles away and he always use a binocular just to confirm and he never wrong.
He is calm, friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about animals behaviour and his culture.
We saw each and every wild animals and the highlight was the Ngorongoro Crater with its beautiful highlands and so many animals just in one place inside the Caldera.
We can definitely recommend Meijo Safaris and Michael as a Guide.

Amazing, Difference, Thrilling
What a fantastic 3 day safari!! The man to have is Asaad what a guy and what a tour guide. He was very attentive, he gave us great knowledge about the safari, animals and the park. This made the experience that little more special as we learnt about the culture of massai village too! he never promised anything he couldn't guarantee which made our safari that much better when he took us to some of his favourite spots and we was greeted by lions, buffalo's, elephants, black rhinos and so much more, if you have any plan to go safari so do it eoth Meijo safaris.
Thanks again for an amazing trip and best guide Asaad.
