Exceeded our expectations!
From initial booking to the last day of the trip everything was handled perfectly by Pendo and her team. The booking went smoothly, when we arrived we were picked up by our guide, Said, who was waiting at the airport. Check in at every lodge and hotel went smoothly. The choice of hotels / lodge was perfect and great choice of food at each resort we stayed at.
Said was a brilliant guide. He was courteous, friendly and full of local knowledge about the people and the animals. I couldn't recommend him enough.
What can I say about the Safari? Amazing! Better than we ever thought it could be.
But this review is about the company,. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them or use them if we ever go back again. Even on the last day when we had time to kill before our flight Pendo came to meet us and arranged for us to see the markets of Arusha. A very good day that we hadn't planned upon- thank you.

Great safari tour organizer with hakuna matata mindset !
We choose Tales of Tanzania because of their responsiveness and for the beautiful accommodations proposed. The prices are similar to other companies, but the quality of communication is great.
Our point of contact was Pendo, she is calm and easygoing, will always find alternatives if requested. Our guide was great too, understanding the special needs of our family.
To summarize, a great familial safari tour organizer with hakuna matata mindset !

Dismas was great - well informed and very fun!
We had an absolutely wonderful time on our tour! I cannot recommend this enough. The company was super responsive to questions during the planning process. Our guide, Dismas, was amazing and did an excellent job taking us around the parks. We also loved all of our accommodations! This was a perfect experience!

Pendo and Tales of Tanzania communicated very well and catered for all our needs. In booking from Australia, Pendo responded to all my queries very quickly and positively. Very prompt response and clear communication.
Pendo from Tales of Tanzania has been very responsive since the start. All information was communicated clearly through email. Booking was easy and all the transaction were done without much issue.
Our guide, Naiman, was very helpful and the best we could ever ask for. He was kind and always gave his best effort to ensure we got to see all the animals, including the wildebeest migration.
Despite there was some miscommunication about the hot air balloon arrangement during our trip in Serengeti, Pendo and Naiman had given their best effort to manage and ensure we got to enjoy this amazing experience.
We definitely strongly recommend both Tales of Tanzania and our guide.

Excellent choice for customized Safaris
If you want to book one of the standard packages, I think any tour operator is fine. However we had many customizations we needed to make to our itinerary. We wanted to stay with specific lodges and we needed to shuffle the ordering of visiting them due to our flights. Pendo was excellent in working with us through each of our requests, and she managed to do it in a tight timeframe after our original flights needed to be changed. We managed to have an excellent time in Zanzibar and Tanzania

Professional with very personal touch.
Pendo made note of all our requests and made sure that our trip was memorable for all the right reasons. She was very prompt in replying to emails and messages.
Given the fact that the trip was planned late for the peak season visit she has still managed to get us a very good accommodations and got us a very good driver guide. Who knew where to be and when.

Efficient, exceptionally responsive, great communication and organisation
We had an 8 day safari with Tales of Tanzania in September and then a short trip to Zanzibar. This has been a trip on our bucket list and all communication has been excellent and prompt from Pendo. She is been amazing in accommodating our requests. During our safari, our guide Dismas made every effort to make our trip special, our highlights were we saw the most amazing flock of two million flamingoes, a pride of lionesses with their cubs, male lions up close 5 feet away and the amazing wilder west river crossing. All our accommodation was very comfortable, the Melia at Ngorongoro was breathtaking with stunning views. I highly recommend Tales of Tanzania if you want to do this special trip, I thought their pricing was very competitive for the type of accommodation we had and we were very happy. Thank you Pendo and Dismas for an amazing time, A+++++
