Best tour Operator
Over 18 years ago I spent a year volunteering in Arusha and during this time did a five day safari with a local company that I was able to select based on local knowledge. This time around I had to pick a company based on internet searches and reviews so was slightly mindful whether I would have the same experience as before.
To my delight, Kanje grand tours- a Tanzanian owned company - met my expectations and then some. Innocent, managing director of the company, was attentive to my needs and budget from the outset. He listened to what I wanted and responded with an itinerary that was suitable for my young family.
Our driver/guide and chef were equally attentive and flexible to the needs and patience of my 8 and 13 year olds. George was an amazing chef who ensured we had three hot and tasty meals a day. While other safari companies served sandwiches for lunch, George served up three course meals of deliciousness! Our kids loved every meal.
From start to finish our safari met all expectations. We saw all of the hoped for animals and birds at close range. The driver/guide seemed to know everyone and worked the radio to keep tabs on the latest sightings. My wife said he was also a terrific driver and how we were driving in long wheel base Land Cruisers which are more comfortable.
The drives were varied and breaks were spaced out to ensure our children did not get bored or frustrated. The guide was equally helpful in engaging and entertaining the kids. Our youngest delighted in learning a bit of Kiswahili.
I would fully recommend Kanje grand tours. It provides great value for a really amazing safari, you're in safe hands, plus you're supporting the local economy.

They were top notch
The Communication with Lilian and Innocent was prompt and precise. We communicated through WhatsApp. They handled everything exactly as they told me they would. There were absolutely no surprises. The service was great. We were picked up at the airport as they said they would and they gave me a great hotel recommendation. This was a top notch service. Our 4-day Tarangire, Serengetti and Ngorogoro camping safari was spectacular. We were able to experience so many things that we would have missed if we were not camping. We had zebras, an elephant and a family of baboons run through our campsite. We saw so many animals and our driver was very knowledgable about where to go to find the animals. Our only disappointment was we couldn't find the elusive rhino. Our cook was wonderful. Everything he made was great. The lions are so close, the cheetah's and leopards are so beautiful. The elephants and giraffes are majestic! This tour is affordable and worth the investment. Remember - take cash for your payment.

Great safari, great crew!
I had the most incredible 6-day safari tour with Kanje Grand Tours! The level of professionalism was outstanding, and the experience was truly amazing. I was fortunate to witness a wide variety of animals, nearly all of them. The planning was flawless, and every detail for our comfort was meticulously taken care of. The comfortable car, stocked with water, cola, juices, coffee, and even WiFi and charging stations, made the tour even more enjoyable.
A heartfelt thank you goes to our exceptional guide, Adam. He went above and beyond to ensure our well-being, sharing fascinating information about animals and the surroundings. His warmth and care made the journey truly special.
I can't forget to express my gratitude to our talented chef, Stephan, who delighted us with mouthwatering dishes throughout the trip. The food was simply divine.
Without a doubt, I would embark on this trip again at any opportunity, and I'll be enthusiastically recommending it to all my friends. This once-in-a-lifetime experience is etched in my memory, and I'm so grateful for the wonderful memories created during this safari adventure!

The best team for our Kilimanjaro climb
We spent 6 days climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, Through Machame route, and thanks to our amazing team, we made it to the top and have the best memories ever!
Our guides, Wiliam and Sebastian were fantastic, always wanting to learn more and we talked about everything, learn a lot about the country, the mountain, the plants and the people.
Our chef Gabriel was really good and it's impressive to see what he and his assistant chef Furaha could do in their camp kitchen.
We had an amazing waiter, Baraka (or Boka for friends..) who always made sure we had everything we needed when at the camp.
Our summit porter Zeno was so strong, he was carrying a big bag to the summit in case something happened and with hot tea and snacks for the summit! He also was in charge of our toilets (because yes, it's pretty fancy and you'll get a little tent for your private toilets!)
The 7 other people in our team were the porters. They are heroes to us because they can carry up to 20kg from the company, plus their own backpacks! It is not an easy climb and they make it through the craziest paths. So thank you for your smiles and life stories!
Honestly, the best (and maybe hardest but hey, if it was too easy there would be no fun) experience or our lifes, mostly thanks to the team.

The best safari
We had an excellent safari through Tarangiri, Lake Natron and the Northern Serengeti, including crossing the Wildebeest River, Central Serengeti and NgoroNgoro. Our guide Amani was very knowledgeable about animals with an unusual specialization in almost everything. He managed to show us the big five and more.
Amani was a pleasant guide for us. We would certainly recommend it to any family looking to see the best of nature while having fun!

Breathtaking
My husband and I went on a one-week safari with Kanje this September, I cannot tell you how wonderful the trip was, it was undoubtedly one of the best I have ever done. From the moment we prepared the trip, the communication was great, thanks to Innocent indications we designed the safari to our measure. Once there, everything was great, thanks to our guide Amani, very professional. We were very lucky and saw some incredible animal scenes, like the crossing of Mara river. Elite experience
We went to a 6-day safari in Tarangire - Lake Manyara - Serengeti - Ngorongoro. And I must say it was a really nice experience! All the days were fully packed with game-drives and impressions. Our guide Edi did his best on the routes and showed us not only big and remarcable, but also small and hiding ceatures. So, I think, for these days we saw the best of these parks. Our cook was also great! Now we know the tasty Africa as well)) So I can recommend this company as a very reliable and honest safari-organiser. They offer an excellent balance of price and quality! We built and lived a dream
We have been satisfied and now we can't forget Tanzania and its National Parks. The safari was amazing and we saw a lot of animals. We saw a lot of lions in Serengeti and Ngorongoro, and also leopard and cheetah in Serengeti. We have also visited Arusha park (it's nice and good starting point) and Tarangire (a lot of elephants!!).
We were only 2 in the jeep, our guide Steven was friendly and amazing spotting animals in a distance.
Some roads are bumping and driving to Serengeti is tough, but it's a great experience.
We have really enjoyed our time in Tanzania.
