It was great, great overview and lots of information about Tanzania and the animals.
Kapandi the driver is a great guide. He knows a lot of information about the visitors and also about Tanzania. He is an experienced driver with whom we felt safe. The food was excellent and the hotel was great.

Reliable and hassle-free tour operator
Uwanda Tours was a great tour operator. Booking onto the safari was easy and we were in communication with Salumu up until the tour. We didn't have to worry about anything on the trip as it was all planned out for us.
Our driver Kapande was really great. He was very reliable and always picked us up on time. He drove over difficult terrain without a problem. He gave us a lot of information about the animals, plants, and local culture and was always happy to answer questions and stop the vehicle so we could take photos.
The tour itself was very enjoyable. We went in low season when there was a lot of vegetation after all the rain, so it was harder to see animals. Nevertheless, on the boat safari we saw hippos, crocodiles, iguanas, and lots of birds, and on the game drive we saw lots of giraffes, impala, buffalo, baboons, wildebeest, and more hippos. We also got a chance to visit a Maasai village, which was an interesting insight into local culture. The walking safari was led by the very charismatic BB who described the native plants and insects in a way that we will never forget!
Overall, the tour was very good value for money, as all accommodation, food, and park entrance fees were included.

Great Safari
Great 3 day safari at Selous game reserve. We enjoyed the boat ride , game drive and walk safari with very knowledgeable guides.
The luxury tents added unique touch to our stay. 5/5.

Amazing experience thanks to Uwanda Tours and Safaris, and specially our guide, Kapande
Communication with the company was very good from the start. It was nice and easy creating our itinerary with them as they always found a way to adapt every activity to how/when we wanted to do it (This wasn’t possible with other companies we spoke to before).
A very special mention to our safari guide Kapande, because honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a better person for our first safari and honeymoon trip.
Kapande is very attentive, helpful and friendly, he always made sure we were comfortable and safe, he made our experience really fun and we learn so much from him! You can tell he loves what he does and he knows so much about the animals and the parks! He did everything he could for us to see the animals we were most interested in.
We were truly sad to say goodbye to him after our 5 days safari but now we know we have a friend in Tanzania.

Right from our hotel pickup, we experiences friendly and knowledgeable service from our guide, Kapande. The accommodation, staff, food and facilities at the lodge were all exceptional. Our game drives and other tours were an unforgettable experience. Kapande went above and beyond. He was incredibly knowledgeable and no question or request was too much.
