Reliable and hassle-free tour operator
Uwanda Tours was a great tour operator. Booking onto the safari was easy and we were in communication with Salumu up until the tour. We didn't have to worry about anything on the trip as it was all planned out for us.
Our driver Kapande was really great. He was very reliable and always picked us up on time. He drove over difficult terrain without a problem. He gave us a lot of information about the animals, plants, and local culture and was always happy to answer questions and stop the vehicle so we could take photos.
The tour itself was very enjoyable. We went in low season when there was a lot of vegetation after all the rain, so it was harder to see animals. Nevertheless, on the boat safari we saw hippos, crocodiles, iguanas, and lots of birds, and on the game drive we saw lots of giraffes, impala, buffalo, baboons, wildebeest, and more hippos. We also got a chance to visit a Maasai village, which was an interesting insight into local culture. The walking safari was led by the very charismatic BB who described the native plants and insects in a way that we will never forget!
Overall, the tour was very good value for money, as all accommodation, food, and park entrance fees were included.

It was great, great overview and lots of information about Tanzania and the animals.
Kapandi the driver is a great guide. He knows a lot of information about the visitors and also about Tanzania. He is an experienced driver with whom we felt safe. The food was excellent and the hotel was great.

Our recent adventure to Nyere National Park was nothing short of extraordinary. Nyere National Park boasts a remarkable diversity of flora and fauna, and we were fortunate to witness some of its most iconic residents, including Lions, Hyenas, Hippos, Crocodiles, Gireffes, Zebras, elephats and many more.

Great experience from start to finish! Our guide Kapande was friendly, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to be with for the 3 days. He made extra effort to make sure we saw all the animals and was punctual when taking us to our river safari, walking safari, and village tour. Would highly recommend.
