5 star experience!
From start to finish, this was one of the best experiences for my husband and me on our Honeymoon (September 23). We had a two-day Luxury Safari visiting Nyerere NP (Selous) and honestly, it was 5/5 from start to finish. Our Driver and guide Dennis was amazing, and knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We had a Bushman Walk, a boat safari on the Rufiji River, an afternoon game drive until sunset and dinner at the camp before the next day of an early rise to go for the all-day game drive. From the moment you book this tour, it is so well planned out and feel like you are in good hands. You will not be disappointed. Book ASAP!

Amazing experience from start to finish!
Just got back from a 2 day/ 1 night safari in Selous staying at the Selous Lodge. WOW! What an amazing experience! Our guide was Alfa, brilliant guy, very knowledgeable and informative. Alfa knew the hiding places of many of the animals and the shortcuts to get to them! We literally saw everything possible! Alfa went above and beyond to give us the full experience, even kept going until sunset and took us to the best place for a sunset photo shoot with the hippos and crocs! After that and a quick stop off to see a lioness playing with her cubs it was off to the Lodge. Again WOW! Lovely place, with amazing and friendly staff. The room (we had Tempo) was beyond expectations and the private outdoor shower was very liberating!
Day 2 was on to the Masai Village to learn how they live and an insight to their way of living. A very humbling experience, such a simple way of living! Then on to a river safari to see the hippos, crocs and other wildlife from the water. Then back to the Lodge for lunch and a chance to relax in the pool before heading back to the landing strip for the flight back to Zanzibar! All in all, an amazing experience, from start to finish, made all the better by our guide for the safari, Alfa, without whom it would not have been the same! So Thank you Alfa and Uwanda Tours for an unforgettable experience! We will definitely be back!!

Outstanding from start to finish with very knowledgeable guides.
Selous safari, such an amazing experience and excellent value for money. Our guide and driver for the day was Alfa and we couldn't have wished for a better guide! He went over and above our expectations with his knowledge, his expertise and his passion to make sure our safari was special to us from sunrise to sunset. Absolutely fantastic! Absolutely amazing and well organized.
Compared to other operators this safari trip was really affordable for 3 days and 2 nights. We expected less, but got everything we wanted. It was well organized beginning with the hotel pick up, the safari game drive, the boat tour, bush walk, Maasai and local village, accommodation, flights, up to the hotel drop off in the end.
The game drive it self was perfect. The driver made sure, that we see and experience as much animals as possible. He stopped for photos every time we asked for and he gave us a lot of information about the wildlife.
The game drive was the highlight but all other activities were amazing too. We stayed in the beautiful Selous Safari Lodge, where we could watch monkeys walking around all the time and the food was very delicious and the people in the hotel were super friendly. Anyone who’s looking for a real Safari experience should book with Uwanda Tours.

Great 2 days Fly in Safari
We recommend Uwanda Tours, as they are very friendly and reliable. We did the 2 days private Fly in Safari to Selous and everything was Perfect Organized, the Lodge was so beautiful and we loved the Boat Safari with the experienced Guide. This was unforgettable.

An amazing experience with Uwanda Tours and Safaris
We chose Uwanda Tours for our 4 day safari to Selous National Park because they responded quickly and it was good value for money. There was good communication before, during, and after the tour. We were told that our luggage on the flight wouldn't be a problem (and it wasn't) but I wish we were told how small the plane was beforehand! We carried all our belongings with us and ended up taking up the most space. Most other guests were only there for the day but we stayed for 3 nights. The staff were very well organized and our tour guide Alfa was really good also! Selous was an amazing experience and it was the picturesque view of Africa that I imagined it would be. I'd highly recommend spending more time here than just a day trip to really get the most out of it and explore the area more.

Very professional. Well organized and excellent service
The tour was very well organized, everything worked smoothly and on time. They were very flexible with changing and adjusting the itinerary according to our request. Our Guide- Alfa was amazing, very experienced and gave us a lot of information regarding the animals beaver and different plants in the savanna. It was really an amazing experience.

Great Hands-Off Safari Experience
Booking the safari was east through WhatsApp, and the response time from the organizer was very quick. Once the deposit was down, nearly everything was taken care of. Only a few messages were exchanged telling us when to be ready to be picked up from the hotel, and all the rest was handled/explained to us on the way. Ferry over to Dar es Salaam was quick, and our driver Dani accommodated my food poisoning by visiting a pharmacy. The 4 hr van ride to the lodging was on a bumpy dirt road, but it was fun to see the countryside. Lodging was fantastic for the location, and staff was the most polite I've ever met. Safari day came and our guide Goodluck (yes, that's his name!) was excellent. He had the perfect amount of energy for 7 in the morning, and guided us on a wonderful day. We saw every animal we came to see (giraffes, hippos, wildebeest, warthogs, zebras), including lions in the final 15 minutes of the tour when he booked it to a special bush where the lions were resting. He managed to get us to see the lions and still make it to our plane with time to spare. Plane ride back was quick and easy. Highly recommend for the price.

Our guide, driver and experience was awesome
We did a full day tour of Selous and had a guide (mr martino) and driver (mr maneno) both were simply fantastic and we were so blessed to have them showing us this paradise. We saw so many animals and both used all their experience to make our great day absolutely fantastic. Don’t be hung up about seeing lions or tigers, enjoy seeing nature’s diversity up close and personal. We loved our trip that was made special by our guide and driver
