Unforgettable first Safari experience
It was a fantastic adventure expecially thanks to our Safari guide Mr. Martino and driver Mr. Maneno: with a bit of lucky and their full experience and knowledge of the territory we found most of the animals that live in the park.
Overall, the complete experience and service was very positive, I would recommend it to everyone!

The best experience and guide we could ask for! Amazing Martino
We did the three days Safari experience in Nyerere park: we explored the Selous reserve through the daily game drive and the night game drive on the first day, we had the boat tour and the visit to the village nearby the camp the second day, and we went to visit the Masai village the last day. The accommodations we stayed at made our experience characteristic and allowed us to really enjoy the nature all around. All the people working there have been very welcoming and caring, and we had really nice food as well.
Before we started, Martino gave us all the information we needed to live the experience the best way, he gave us the right advices on how to bring the best memories back from the Safari experience. Anytime we had questions he was there to answer and explain. Beside the professional informations we got from him, he has been nice and fun. He has been amazing!
We’ll keep this experience within the best memories we have!

We were well taken care of and had a fantastic time. They handled everything very well.
We were very happy with Uwanda tours and our knowledgeable guide Piniel. We saw so many more animals then we expected to see and it was a wonderful time. Osero camp was lovely as well. Very worth the money, it was such a lovely add on to our trip. It converted my friend to Safaris, she wants to go again. Highly recommended by us.

Wonderfully Organised and Adventurous Safari
uwanda tours allowed us to experience a unique and adventurous safari. firstly everything was organised exceptionally well such as the transfers and activities (always very punctual). we did a multitude of activities in only 5 days including game drives, boat safaris, sunset boat drive, bush walk, hot spring swims, maasai village tour, mloka village tour and much more.
before i talk about our experiences during the activities i would like to say we had the most wonderful and informative tour guide who stayed with us most of the time. our guide holle first greeted us with a huge smile were we already knew we got so lucky with our guide. he was fantastic as he shared so much information with us, made the safari enjoyable, had an explanation ready for all of our wild questions and overall was just an excellent guide. additionally we always felt safe with him and he spoke very good english. i will definitely request him for my next safari!
a word on the activities. the game drives were filled with the sighting of many animals both on land and in the water. on one day we even made a stop at the hot springs which was truely a lovely event. additionally nyerere national park is wonderful as it is not crowded with jeeps and has beautiful nature. the sunset boat drive was astonishing and a must see. the bush walk was a unique dive into the life of a bushman. the boat safari was action filled with hippos and crocodiles as well as seeing animals come down to the water. the maasai and mloka village tours gave a wonderful insight into both their cultures and ways of life (very interesting!).
if you don’t want to have a boring/normal safari come to nyerere national park with uwanda tours. and don’t forget to get holle as your tour guide!

Best experience ever
Safari with Uwandatours was great! Best experience soo far! Our guide was very nice, he spoke english fluently, he told us a lot about animals and land! We really enjoyed. They also made a pick up for us, even-though we stayed at the hotel outside the Zanzibar city. Would really recommend!

The most amazing experience ever
We did a 3 days/2 nights safari with transfer by plane from Zanzibar. We are a group of 4 and my friend already wrote a review, but it was so good that I also have to write one. It was the most amazing experience ever. We stayed at the Selous Impala Camp and the accomodation was simply perfect. The tents had everything you could possibly need plus the most beautiful view on the river and the woods. The food was delicious and the people working there were amazing. They really did everything to make our stay great, from wake up service with coffee brought to our tents to complimentary laundry (done wayyyy better than what I do at home). The bush babies visiting us in the evening were super cute.
Our guide, Godlisten, was more than amazing. He knows everything about animals, nature, Masai culture, .. he was never tired of answering all our questions (and there were a lot) and was always in a good mood. Godli is also the best driver and was very respectful of the animals and everyone’s safety. The activities we did were one better than the other, and everytime we tought it couldn’t get any better he was able to top himself again. We saw a lot of animals, giraffes, elephants, lions, hyppos, zebras, pumbas, baboons, hyenas, impalas, monkeys, crocodiles, birds, … it was a dream coming true. My personal highlight was having a delicious breakfast by the river, watching the hyppos nearby and other animals drinking a little further away.
I absolutely recommend this safari. Selous Impala Camp and Godli will provide you with the most magical experience ever. The only negative part was that we had to leave :) I would have loved to stay longer.

Friendly, knowledgeable, attentive and committed to providing the best for us.
We booked onto a 3 day safari in Selous Game Reserve which consisted of a full day game drive on day 1; a bush walk with local Masai and herbalist doctor, a local village tour with a local guide and a sunset river Safari on day 2; and a Masai village visit where we learnt about the village life and were able to join in some the activities on day 3. All of our drivers were very punctual and friendly and our guides were fantastic! So many brilliant stories from their lives here in Tanzania and facts about the different elements of life and nature here. Our accommodation was good. There had been an issue with our room before we arrived which rendered it out of action but they put us into another room which had been newly built and was clean, had a ceiling fan and good amenities including a constant supply of bottled water. As it was newly built there were a few teething problems but the staff were very quick to put anything right. The accommodation had a clean pool and food was good and plentiful.
Game drive day 1: Our guide Mr Martino was absolutely brilliant! He made us feel at ease the whole time and made sure we always had a good supply of water and there were bottles of soda too to drink. His knowledge on the animals was excellent and there weren’t any questions he wasn’t able to answer. The way the driver and Mr Martino found the animals in the vast park was incredibly impressive and we saw so many of the animals, up close and the whole experience is one we will remember forever.
Day 2: All guides on this day were brilliant. And we enjoyed each of the parts for different reasons. Our highlight was the river Safari where we got to enjoy sunset on the beach of the river, watching the hippos bathing and playing.
Day 3: the Masai visit was truly brilliant. The chief of the village took us around and immersed us into the village life for a few hours.
Overall, a visit we’ll never forget. Thank you so much!
