Selfless and detail oriented.
Serengeti was amazing and our safari guide made it even more amazing.
From the time he picked us up from the airport, we knew we were in for some great adventure. The animals were amazing. We saw the lions, wildebeest, crocodiles, hyenas…everything that you can think of in a National Geographic documentary. Abbey and his team have great organizational skills and their safari knowledge is simply impeccable. They drove us in air-conditioned 4x4 land cruisers. The accommodations were fantastic; private and cozy. The food was delicious. The local folks we met were great to us. They smile at everyone and everything. The safari was flawless and I would recommend visiting Tanzania with Lush Africa Safaris.

Awesome, funny and informed.
Let me simply put it this way:
I want to spend the rest of my life on a safari. We saw loads of animals, including rhinos, lions, leopards, giraffes, and monkeys. But the cake was the chimpanzees in Kibale and later the mountain gorillas in Bwindi. Uganda is gifted beyond explanation.
Solomon our guide was awesome. He took us to the right vantage points to see the animals; it was as though he had an appointment with these animals. He is a very great driver too and his sense of humour kept us awake during the long connecting drives between the different parks.
I undoubtedly recommend Lush Africa Safaris because they give you more than value for money and the gorillas of Uganda is an experience of a lifetime.

Lush Africa Safaris is marvelous
My wife and our two teenage daughters visited South Africa for the first time in April. Initially we were visiting a family member in Durban when a safari thought popped up in my mind. I contacted Abbey and he wasted no time putting this 5-day trip together for us. He knows South Africa like the back of his hand. Our movement from Durban to Kruger was made easy thanks to his knowledge. Our tour guide was the nicest person I have eved met. So knowledgeable, so humble, so helpful, so caring. We saw all the animals we hoped to see. This was the best experience of my life in the wilderness. I would definitely recommend these guys a zillion times.

With a wonderfully personal approach Lush Africa Safaris made our trip a truly memorable experience!
Before going on this trip, we came in contact with Solomon from Lush Africa Safaris. His communication was as it should be: positive energy, inquisitive for our needs and wishes, comfortable and flexible to discuss options and a few changes to the itinerary. We were picked up from our home, on the agreed time. Soon after leaving it became clear that with Solomon and his colleague Richard - an expert on forest wildlife and National Parks in general with decades of experience working at the UWA - we were in for a great trip! The personal connection we made is something that absolutely stood out for me. We stayed at the Budongo Eco Lodge, in the middle of Budongo Forest, which was very well suited with a warm and accommodating staff. The cabin was spacious, with a very comfortable bed for a perfect night of sleep. The sounds of the waking forest (from chimps, bush babies, tree hyraxes and many, many birds) made for a surreal escape from the bustle of busy Kampala. In the 2 days we stayed in Murchison, we hiked around the falls, went on an early morning game drive, took a river cruise and had our time in the forest. All in all a magnificent trip, that would not have been the same if it weren’t for Solomon and Richard. Thank you so much guys!!

Best Guides yet!
Well what can I say...lets start with service and communication. Soloman was attentive to our every need and interest for this trip in the pre-planning phase. He was in touch regular and provided great recommendations that fit well with what we wanted (ie: the lodge, stops on the way, the park details, etc).
Lets move onto value for money: I would suggest this for any type of traveller because they accommodate to meet your needs and price range. We were very happy with the lodge, food, and transport and they stayed within our budget and ensured we had a memorable experience.
Lastly, the overall experience was one of the best I have had with a tour operator/guide in East Africa. Their knowledge of Uganda, East Africa and hyper-local was unparalleled.
I strongly recommended using Lush Africa Safaris for your next experience to the region - you will walk away happy that you did!

Deceiving, not professional, stay away!
Abbey from Lush African Safari responded to my Safari booking request for a quote with a very expensive package for a 14 days Kenya and Tanzania safari. The quote had places’ names and pics of cars and accommodation included. Upon arrival to Kenya I found out none of the places he quoted were actually available at the time he sent me that quote. In fact, he did ask me to pay immediately to book everything, which I did, but it was just a scam since the places weren’t available. And he hired local companies that book something else. He even tried to put me in a minivan instead of a landrover in Kenya, which at least at last minute the local company was able to fix. In Amboseli, he sent me to a tent instead of a nice 3-4 start hotel I paid, I was scared for my life there. Not a joke. Solo woman traveler I paid more to him, a company based in USA, to guarantee that this situation didn’t happen :(
In Tanzania he tried to send me to another tent and I was literally crying that day contacting the Safaribooking team begging to please not to be sent to a tent. I paid for a nice hotel, he was making up all sort of reasons why me going to a tent was best for me, among them so I can see the great migration.
He didn’t even know I already saw the great migration in Kenya!
Finally they sent me to a hotel, not like the one promised but I was so grateful for having walls and feel safe that I didn’t mind. Both local tours realized what was been done and were very sympathetic. I’d strongly recommend to use those companies directly, they will be honest and not lure you with some pics. I paid thousands of dollars to stay in the nicest hotel with great food and they sent me to a tent without electricity, shower outside that actually didn’t work, he gave me a $300 refund which felt like an insult, but I was powerless.
When I told him he couldn’t just go against the client wishes and going to a tent instead of nice accommodations I booked were not my wishes he said: “we are going to have to agree to disagree”. So he feels he is in power to sent you wherever he wants regardless of what you paid for. Here is another, when I send the pics he sent me of a fancy place that I paid for and the ones of the horrible tent he was sending me to, his response was:”some places take deceiving pics”. We have internet and the local tours were honest so they did told me how wonderful the other places I had in the quote were and how they didn’t compared in location food quality and overall with what I was given.
