Alpine Chat is trustworthy, personal and provides the real Tanzanian experience!
I can really recommend Alpine Chat. They have a very personal approach; Erik travelled 3 hours just to welcome us and discuss the program. They take good care and are personally motivated to ensure that their customers are safe and happy. Also, they are very flexible and easy in communication. Friendly, willing to think along, fun, organized, relaxed
Alpine arranged our 4 day safari. We booked only shortly in advance. Erick was able to meet with all our requests. We had a very kind, fun and relax guide; Savio. If you have a change, he for sure will make your trip extra nice.
The car we drove was spacious, able to open the roof and all the accommodations were very pretty.
After the trip Erick helped us with some other activities as well. If you need a friend and helping hand in Tanzania, Erick and Savio are great to have on your side.

Alpine Chat Adventure is a great company with excellent service and communication
Alpine Chat Adventure was my tour operator for safari and kilimanjaro climb.
I did one day safari to the Tarangire national park.
Guide for the day was Mr. Abraham and he went beyond my expectations in terms of everything.
I was the only person in the jeep who didn't speak Swahili, but my guide was talking and explaining everything on English and made sure I understand all the bits and pieces he was talking about in our trip.
He knew everything abut flora and fauna.
Every animal we saw, he turned off the vehicle and started explaining all facts about the animal, from food animal eats, from common other animals they are friendly with to fun and interesting facts as well.
Service from tour operator to the tour guide was amazing. I was even dropped in shopping to buy few souvenirs when we came back to Moshi.
I saw lions, giraffes, zebras, elephants and many more animals so I don't count them all here.
100% reliable and trustworthy
Would recommend to anyone that is going to Moshi.
I would recommend longer safari, I sadly didn't have enough time to do at least 4 days of safari.
I'd choose Alpine Chat Adventure every time!

A perfect trekking experience with Alpine Chat Adventure!
I just came back from the 6-day Machame route trek with Alpine Chat Adventure, and I can confidently say that my expectations were not only met but exceeded in every possible way.
I was initially drawn to Alpine Chat Adventure due to their incredible reviews, and it was important for me to support a local Tanzanian-based company. From the moment I contacted the owner, Erick, he responded promptly to all my questions, and provided me with a clear and detailed itinerary.
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro airport, I unfortunately found that my suitcase was lost and it was just a day before my hike was supposed to begin. However, thanks to Erick, who took charge and personally handled the situation with the airport, my suitcase was located and returned to me in time for the hike.
Alpine Chat Adventure went above and beyond to ensure I felt secure and cared for throughout my entire journey, which was especially important to me as a young solo female traveller. From the friendly drivers who transported me to and from the airport, the amazing hotel I stayed at before and after the hike, and the attentive crew accompanying me up to the top of Kilimanjaro, I felt comfortable and well looked after at all times.
During the trek itself, my vegan diet was catered to with delicious meals, and all of my questions were addressed during my daily briefings with my guide Yaky. Yaky was a truly amazing guide, providing me with valuable insights, guidance, and support every step of the way.
If you're considering trekking to the top of Kilimanjaro, I cannot recommend Alpine Chat Adventure highly enough. Choose this amazing company, and you'll be rewarded with a perfect and personalised experience. Thank you, Alpine Chat Adventure, for making my Kilimanjaro trek a dream come true!

Once in a lifetime experience you'll NEVER forget!
We had a once in a lifetime experience going on safari with Alpine Chat! We enjoyed our tour guide Peter and his laidback, enthusiastic, flexible, and patient vibes. The owner (Erick) was also amazing and an excellent communicator. The tour company made us feel like valued customers and friends--they even gave us authentic and memorable gifts at the end of our stay. On our trip we saw all big five animals in four days and overall the trip did not feel rushed. We chose Alpine Chat based on the company being small and all local Tanzanians--if we are going to that country we want to support the local economy and people. We felt very safe and taken care of the entire trip. Also, I did not like the lodge on the final night (Rhino lodge) and wish I would have changed the accommodation, which definitely seemed like an option if you don't like what is offered in the initial package (you may pay more, but worth it to get exactly what you want). Erick worked hard to tailor our trip exactly to our needs and desires. We highly recommend booking your safari with Alpine Chat. My only regret is not adding an additional day in the Serengeti to see the migration.

Kilimanjaro Day Hike
Super efficient booking process - I made contact with Erick and asked him to put together a programme during my short stay in Moshi.
He replied immediately.
The day trip was such fun. Erick met me at my hotel and introduced me to the guide Karlmarx. We drove the the gate and all admin with the NP was efficiently organised.
The hike was excellent, the atmosphere very relaxed and the hike very pleasant indeed. Karlmarx was so knowledgeable about all of the fauna and flora and shared a real wealth of
Information. He was kind and his experience of Kili was very clear from the amazing stories he was able to share.
Lunch was provided, it was genuinely one of the best packed lunches I’ve ever had. It was catered perfectly for me as a vegetarian but meat options were also available.
I cannot recommend Alpine Chat, Erick and his team more.

Moshi town tour and local lunch
Such a great day!!
I met Winnie my guide in the hotel lobby and we meandered around town, popping into the market, meeting a ranger of street vendors and seeing all the local sites.
As a local, Winnie was full of interesting facts and her English was word perfect. This is clearly a USP of Alpine Chat as the previous day I had been on Kili with Karlmarx as a guide who also spoke anbsolutely excellent English.
Winnie was warm and welcoming and I felt like I was hanging out with a friend.
She took me to a local restaurant for lunch and they kindly put some fish on the grill for me as I don’t eat meat.
We zipped around the town on local transport afterwards and this was 100% the funniest thing I have ever done.
That afternoon I was meeting friends in Moshi, she kindly accompanied me to the bus station and helped me buy my ticket and even waited for me to board the bus.
I had a fantastic time with Winne.
