Tour director was very thorough with all aspects of wonderful experience.
This was a one of the trips on mine and my wife's bucket list and Kapama did not disappoint.The staff was great and very accommodating.All the facilities were extra clean and maintained.We felt very special and were treated very well during our stay at Kapama Karula.

Great Reservation Team
I had some issues booking with Viva Safari’s directly but The Kruger Safari Co made all issues disappear with their speedy responses, friendly and informative staff who answered any and all questions I had. Wayne was great to deal with throughout the whole process. The tour itself was a great success and I would recommend it to anyone.

I was looking for a last minute safari and knew I would have limit options. Wayne responded to my inquiry very quickly with options that were still available. I decided on Kapama Southern Camp. He provided thorough information about the safari and even went out of his way to respond after business hours answering my questions! The safari was the highlight of my trip and one of my favorite things I’ve ever done in my 30+ countries visited. I can’t recommend Wayne and the Kruger Safari Co. enough to help book a safari. You won’t regret it!

Great communicators and brilliant hosts
The staff and guides were the stand out things at the lodge, don’t get me wrong, the lodge itself is incredibly impressive with fantastic rooms, but it wouldn’t be anything without great service. All the staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble. Our guide, Victor, was brilliant, his knowledge of the area was second to none, his ability to see the smallest track on the side of the road or hear a warning cry from birds far away meant we didn’t miss a thing. If you want a special experience on safari then you this is the place for you.

Unforgettable Safari Adventure: Perfect Mix of Luxury and Authenticity
Our 5-day safari trip was absolutely incredible, thanks to the excellent planning by Kruger Safari Co. We stayed two nights at Hoyo Hoyo Safari Lodge and two nights at Umkumbe Safari Lodge, both offering unique experiences. The drive from Johannesburg was long but scenic, setting the tone for our adventure.
Hoyo Hoyo exceeded all expectations. The service was impeccable, the staff extremely kind and attentive. With spotless grounds and a waterhole right in front of the dining area, we had the privilege of watching wildlife up close during meals. The game drives with Victor were fantastic, and we saw a variety of animals, including elephants, zebras, giraffes, and even leopards.
Umkumbe Safari Lodge had a more family-friendly atmosphere. The highlight here was our guide, Jessica, who was so knowledgeable and ensured we saw most of the Big Five, except for lions. The lodge wasn’t as luxurious as Hoyo Hoyo, and the food options were somewhat limited, but the location right by the river more than made up for it. The bush walk was a great experience.
A special thanks to Wayne from Kruger Safari Co. who handled everything so smoothly, even accommodating a last-minute change in plans. We’d book with them again in a heartbeat!

Amazing Wildlife and Warm Hospitality – A Truly Memorable Trip
We had the most amazing 5-day safari experience, staying at Hoyo Hoyo Safari Lodge and Umkumbe Safari Lodge. The drive from Johannesburg to Hoyo Hoyo was long but the scenery made it worthwhile.
Hoyo Hoyo was a perfect blend of luxury and nature. The staff was exceptional, offering 10/10 service, and the three-course meals were delightful. The lodge was spotless, and the waterhole right by the dining area gave us an incredible view of animals like elephants and buffaloes. The game drives were thrilling, and we saw so many animals, including leopards!
Umkumbe Safari Lodge had a different vibe—more family-friendly, but still a fantastic experience. The rooms were spacious with a fun animal theme, and being right by the river meant we had wildlife all around us. Our guide Jessica was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the wildlife. While the food was a bit limited, the bush walk and overall experience made up for it.
A huge shoutout to Wayne from Kruger Safari Co. He was responsive, helpful, and made the whole trip seamless, even with a last-minute change to our return plans. We’d definitely recommend this company for a stress-free safari adventure.
