A company that lives up to very high standards which creates a Safari suited to the individual.
This Safari was my wife's dream and was on her bucket list along with a hot air balloon ride.I was apprehensive booking this tour but Carol and Brian planned our 12 day Safari in great detail so that we could experience the real Kenya We saw all the big five animals and every day brought new experiences. We stayed at five different lodges , all were 5 star and offered different types of accommodation all had views of animals from your tent or room windows. We travelled in a land cruiser which was comfortable even on the most uneven dirt roads. Our driver Kioko made every attempt to get us up close to all the animals. We also had a picnic in the Maisi Mara which was an experience in its self.My wife was over the moon with her hot air balloon experience. We visited 5 game reserves and every one offered something different. When we arrived in Kenya we did not know what to expect but when we met Kioko (frank) it soon became clear that we were in good hands. Our flight had been delayed and our luggage did not arrive until the following day Kioko took us back to the airport and helped us retrieve our luggage in order to start our adventure. All i can say is that Kameraz fulfilled their part in making our dream come true.It was reliable and value for money and will certainly recommend them to all my friends.Once again Kameraz thank you.

High cost performance!
Overall, it was a pleasant journey, especially because of the nice cost and the good quality of the resorts and camp! But still, some aspects for improvement e.g. inadequate information of guide are sent to us only one day advanced after repeatedly urge. Moreover, we choosed miniVan but it seemed to old, the tire and battery of the Van both failed in the road, we waste many times to fix it up. In all, the journey of Kenya is worthy!

Perfect and reliable
The communication was smooth throughout the whole process! The driver and part-time tour guide had good driving skills and knew enough about animals. He kept popularizing science for us. He was very reliable throughout the whole process!

They did everything they could to make our trip smooth after our flight was delayed 3 days.
Carol was very helpful in putting together a tour for us. When our flight got delayed 3 days they worked very hard trying to rebook everything and make sure we got the best options available. Unfortunately we missed out on a few of the awesome hotels, but that was not their fault at all. They did respond and try to make our trip as smooth as possible at all times. We loved all of our safaris. We didn't enjoy the two lakes we went to as much, and would have skipped them altogether and spent more time on the safaris, but keep in mind the drives are long and take a long time (they can't drive over 80km/h, so do the math like that), and the lake stops were more strategic. Next time I come, I will choose to go to less places and spend more time in each place, for sure.

Nice experience in Kenya
My friend and I had our safari organised by this tour agency from the 6th August till the 16th August: it was our first safari and, overall, we enjoyed it, even though some aspects can be improved. The communication with the agency was really quick and efficient during the all time and our accomodations were good (budget option), except for the first one in Masai Mara, where we spent two nights and both food and bathrooms (scarcely essential and with unstable hot water) were not the best.
Our driver, Newton, was a nice guy and he used to provide adequate explationations during the game drives, but he was not always on time, so the timing in general should be optimized, also considering few but proper stops and the time for meals, and we didn't always feel safe while he was driving, because he was constantly on the phone. A very negative aspect about the organisation is that the driver didn't have his accomodations booked for the night, so it happened twice that we had to leave earlier from the game drive in order to let him find where to sleep (and of course we agreed to leave because we didn't want him to sleep in the car, but it would have been more appropriate to book it in advance, maybe through the agency, so that we could enjoy the whole day at the park). In addition, during our first game drive in Masai Mara the car broke down twice (at first there was a problem with a bolt of the tyre, which probably wouldn't have happened if there had been a proper check-up before the start of the safari and this inconvenience made us waste more than 1 hour to solve it, while the second time was just a damage in the tyre, which of course can happen and was quickly changed).
Our programme also included a visit to Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha: they are not bad, but I think two days are too many and it's better to skip at least one of them and to have more time for a game drive in a park (Amboseli for example, where we spent just half a day at the end) and when we realised this during the trip, they told us it was too late to change our schedule. I would have liked to spend more time in Masai Mara too, because, even though we were supposed to spend two days of game drive there according to the programme, we actually had one day, since we arrived in the afternoon on the first day and there was only the possibility to visit the Masai village, which we preferred not to do.
So, on balance, I would suggest to see less spots, but to spend more time in the main parks, maybe also providing more packed lunches to be taken in the morning when it's time to change accomodation in order to avoid waisting time in reaching the new place, doing the check-in and having lunch, but going straight to the new park for the game drive and then doing the check-in directly in the evening.
At the end, we went to Diani Beach, where we spent a very nice and relaxing time at our resort. Anyway, apart from the previous points, we had a good time.

Tour was incredible, but our guide Sammy was the highlight!
My friend and I did a 2 person private tour with Kameraz of Afrika in July 2024 for 7 days in Kenya. It was very easy to communicate with the tour operator prior to our trip. They made sure we had our trip and add-ons confirmed, the value for money was definitely a plus, and I felt we had good response times prior to arriving (especially taking into account the difference in time zones). Once we were in Nairobi and ready for our safari is when our guide Sammy took over and I can't stress enough how amazing he was!! I didn't have too many expectations since I hadn't done a safari before, but now having been on one and spoken to others who have gone on their own - your guide makes all the difference and Sammy went above and beyond at every turn. There were the easy things like he was always on time for our meet ups and stayed with us at every excursion (including at all secondary locations for the add-ons we did to our trip (boat ride, hot air balloon ride, horseback riding)). He also made sure we always knew what to expect every day of the safari (so we could dress, pack and plan accordingly) and he was incredibly knowledgeable and clearly loves what he does! My friend and I are very curious and had a million questions everywhere we went and he was so informative and never made us feel like we were pestering him with our curiosity and questions. If anything, he was really excited to have people who loved learning as much as he does! It's obvious how much knowledge and experience he has in every aspect, not just inside the parks and about the animals. He was such a kind, positive and helpful person, he truly made our experience go from great to incredible. I highly recommend requesting him if booking with Kameraz!

Great Experience!
We did a 10 days safari with Kameraz in August 24: Nairobi - Masai Mara - Lake Nakuru - Lake Naivasha - Amboseli - Tsavo West- Tsavo East plus 3 days Diani beach. Bena was our driver and guide and did a great and safe job. We saw all animals including a leopard and a river crossing of gnus and zebras in Masai Mara. Even after more than 10 years as a guide, Bena is still very passionate about big cats and river crossings and wherever there is an opportunity to see one he will not miss it.
The whole tour was well organized with very nice lodges and excellent food. Over all, an incredible and phantastic experience.
Many thanks to Carol and her team - they did great job!

Kameraz provided a good experience all around from easy booking, accommodations, to good tour guide
Kendi of Kameraz was flexible in providing different options and itineraries as I tried to decide what would be best for our family. Pricing was very reasonable compared to other companies I contacted and finalizing the reservation was smooth and easy. We were happy with the accommodations throughout the eight full days - some were actually quite nice that we enjoyed taking a break from the game drives. I had been to South Africa two years before and understand that a good safari depends much on luck in animal sighting but also on your tour guide. We got to see all the animals more than once and even experienced some animals quite up close. Our driver and guide, Benna, was professional and very knowledgeable. He was efficient in getting us to places and found ways to help us get the best experiences. Benna seemed to know every corner of every park we went to sometimes helping other guides who were lost - these parks are huge with many sections of different winding crossing roads that all seem to look the same. He also had good knowledge on how these animals behave and what they might do next. With some luck and Benna’s good work we got to see some “really cool” things as my kids put it. It’s a memorable experience of a lifetime that my kids and I will look back on for years and decades to come. A couple of tips if you’ve read this far. One, book as early as you can to get the better accommodations as there doesn’t seem to be that many and all the companies use the same set of lodges and hotels. Two, be good to your driver and guide. Their knowledge and effort aren’t just to get you to places and help you enjoy the best safari. What I learned is they’re also there to help ensure your safety to the point that they will jump in front between you and a threatening animal if necessary to protect you first. Enjoy Kenya!

Professionalism of the Tour Guide
Overall experience from the tour agency, the reply on pre-sales is in advance. They patiently designed the all needs and wants of the customers. But the experience during the safari with our tour guide+ driver, I think the professionalism will need to improve, they are always late, I can understand the traffic issue in the cities, but as a driver you will need to know the prediction and arrive earlier to keep the customer satisfy. Due to our late reservation, we did not manage to book a nearer safari hotel in masai mara, thus we not able to got the chance to go on the center of mara triangle, suggest the tour agency if so, please arrange the tour to enter to deep middle of the safari earlier, but not keep taking round at the outside area.
