Caring, thoughtful and supportive
5/5

I went on a 10 days tailor made trip through Rwanda and Uganda with Vibrant Holidays on a Safari Van in December 2024 and had a wonderful time. In the planning process, the team was very supportive, helped me refine my schedule and responded to all my questions swiftly. I was a bit worried because a lot of down payment is needed in advance to secure the permits for the primate trekkings and I did not know the operator yet. But Lois and her team were very understanding and patient with me, showed me around their office on a video call and directly sent me the copies of the permits as soon as they were booked. The tour itself went also very smoothly. The driver guide (Andrew Murari) was very nice, always there, very attentive, and, as a born Rwandan living in Uganda, provided a lot of cultural knowledge, which was very valuable to me. The accommodations were selected with great attention to detail and tailored to my individual needs. I had an extraordinary trip with Vibrant and returned home with a mind full of unforgettable memories and a storage full of incredible pictures. Thanks again to the whole team!

Unforgettable experience! Thank you VBS <3 <3 <3

I took a 5-day safari to the Queen Elizabeth and Lake Mburo parks.

All arrangements made before the trip by Phionah and Lois went smooth, including payments, extension of the trip by one day to Ishasha plains as well as some slight changes within the default itinerary.

Accommodation was superb, with Eagle’s Nest’s magnificent location as my personal highlight.

All meals were enormous ;)

And my guide Andrew was apparently born to be the best guide ever. Not only he’s able to spot all animals in the parks easily (including not-so-easy to find climbing lions) and share an insightful knowledge about them and impressive respect towards them, but he also took care about introducing me to the local context outside of the parks: we went to crater lakes with local guides, ate rolex and other not-to-be-missed Ugandan foods, listened to afrobeats on the road, and much more.

Ah, and did I say that he’s an excellent driver and passionate photographer that will take a lot of beautiful portraits of you? And then ensure you applied your sunscreen and insect repellent on? 😉

With Andrew, at all times I felt safe, taken care of, and all my questions were answered.

Hanging around with such a professional, warm-hearted, non-judgemental, funny and cool guy was a great fun and pleasure, making the whole experience unforgettable.

Don’t miss out on booking - it’s worth every penny!

Thanks to VBS, I already miss Uganda and hope to go back :)

Andrew was key in making our experience exceed expectations, with his knowledge and professionalism.

We chose Vibrant Holiday Safaris out of the many choices due to the Safari options and what we felt was fair pricing. What we received was beyond our expectations. Our trip was an 8-day safari starting in Rwanda and ending in Uganda, which is where we had been the previous 1 1/2 weeks and were traveling back to the U.S.A from. We were thrilled that Andrew (our guide) met us at the airport in Kigali where we started the first leg of our trip. We were thrilled that it was only my wife and I and we were not part of a larger group.
I found our travels between all of our destinations, very captivating. In addition to climbing a volcano and Golden Monkey trekking in Volcanoes National Park we visited the Dian Fossey museum and Gorilla naming park.
From Rwanda we drove to Uganda and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest- the Ichimbi Gorilla lodge was our favorite lodging of the trip. We had an extraordinary Gorilla trekking experience, and felt the entire location was magical.
From Bwindi we traveled to Queen Victoria N.P. and Mburo N.P. where we saw all the animals you would anticipate, including monkeys, baboons, water buffalo, antelope, warthogs, lions, leopard, elephants, hippos, giraffes, zebras and a multitude of birds.
Another highlight of our trip was our Chimpanzee Trek into the jungle of the Kyambura Gorge. The additional experiences on our Vibrant safari, including day tours, visiting the equator, crater lakes, interactions with locals, dining and lodging all enhanced our trip.
I would recommend Vibrant Holiday Safaris, for their excellent organization and communication throughout the trip, and our guide Andrew was exemplary.

Well organised
5/5

A very well planned out tour and we were able to see a vast amount of wildlife - hippos, giraffe, elephants, lions, zebra, crocodiles. For us the 2 highlights though were the gorilla trekking and chimpanzees. The lodges chosen were excellent, beautiful settings, great service and food. The only accommodation that lacked all these things was Kontiki Hotel. Our driver Joel was friendly, welcoming and as a driver negotiated what was extremely difficult road conditions in many places. We felt he lacked experience though and we had to prise information from him frequently. The last day for us was the only downside. After a fabulous morning walking safari with one of local guides, the plan was to travel to our hotel near Entebbe Airport - a driving distance of approx 5.5 - 6 hours incl a stop for lunch. Due to the route he took it ended up being an 11 hour journey and forfeiting the hotel stay for a few hours before the flight. The journey was hampered by a road accident which was unavoidable but the horrendous traffic could have been avoided if a different route on the toll road had been taken. As a result we were in need of a shower, food and sleep. The overall experience though was excellent and we would choose vibrant again.
