Young, warm and welcoming company which offers tailor made trips and safaris!
5/5

So, we’re do I start. We’ve booked a trip to Tanzania, first of all Because the country offers a great combination of wildlife animals, hiking, mountain climbing through amazing landscapes and beautiful nature and for sure a unique culture. Thanks to Safari GOATS and our Safari guide Frank we visited tons of places you normally would’t see if you book a trip on your own. Also I would like to thank Amir Harun and his team already. Amir was our mountain guide. He has roughly 16 years of experience climbing both Mt. Meru and Mt. Kilimanjaro. Without this guy we couldn’t have reached both summits!

The first day nearby Materuni we’ve made our own coffee and learned about the originin of arabica coffee together with the local tribe. After our lunch we got a chance to buy some coffee and cultural art work from this local tribe. I can tell you, these are real business people. Rarely there are fix prices, so you have to bargain to make a good deal. After that, the guide took us for a walk through Materuni (last village before Kilimanjaro, we’ll be climbing this big friend later on our trip) to finally reach the amazing waterfall.

We also did Napuru waterfall, kanoed on Chala lake and visited kikuletwa (chemka) hot spring. Maaan this hot spring is amazing. The water is cristal clear. Could spend my whole trip here. You can swing from a rope, do a couple of backflips and I even saw a giant turtle!

What to say about these safaris. With Frank we have had an amazing safari guide. His knowledge about wildlife surpasses any expectations. The roads of Ngorongoro and Serengeti are printed in his brains I guess. He knows very good we’re to look for wildlife. Giraffe, elephants, zebras, leopards, Cheetahs, lions and lioness. We saw it all. Like my fellow travel buddy, Arne, said: “words nor pictures can describe how magnificent this place is".

I want to end with a big thank you to Safari GOATS. They have exceeded our expectations by far. It’s a rather small company. But that makes them very authentic, flexible towards us as clients. You’re not a number and their trips are tailor made. It’s a young and fresh company, but at the same time warm and welcoming. And also a special thanks to Uncle Nazoro. This man’s hospitality is your grandma’s hospitability myltiplied by 10. Lovely man with a big heart.

I recently experienced a once-in-a-lifetime safari with Safari G.O.A.T.S., and it was phenomenal from start to finish. Our journey began in Arusha and took us through the stunning landscapes and diverse wildlife of Arusha National Park, Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and the Serengeti.

Our guides were exceptionally knowledgeable, making each wildlife encounter—like the massive elephant herds in Tarangire and the breathtaking Great Migration in the Serengeti—unforgettable. The highlight was exploring the Ngorongoro Crater, where we saw a rich variety of animals in a uniquely beautiful setting.

We also climbed the Mountain of Gods, Ol Doinyo Lengai, which offered a challenging yet rewarding experience with spectacular views from the summit. Our adventure ended perfectly with a relaxing stay in Zanzibar, where we enjoyed pristine beaches, vibrant coral reefs, and the historic charm of Stone Town.

Safari G.O.A.T.S. exceeded all expectations, providing seamless logistics, sustainable practices, and comfortable accommodations. I highly recommend them for an unparalleled safari experience in Tanzania, capped off with the serenity of Zanzibar. This trip created memories that will last a lifetime.

My recent safari with Safari G.O.A.T.S. was an unforgettable adventure from start to finish. Starting in Arusha, we explored the stunning landscapes and diverse wildlife of Arusha National Park, Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and the Serengeti.

Our guides were incredibly knowledgeable, enhancing every wildlife encounter—from the vast elephant herds in Tarangire to the awe-inspiring Great Migration in the Serengeti. Ngorongoro Crater was a standout, offering a dense variety of animals in a spectacular setting.

We also took on the challenge of climbing Ol Doinyo Lengai, the Mountain of Gods, which rewarded us with breathtaking views from the summit. Our journey concluded in Zanzibar, where we enjoyed serene beaches, vibrant coral reefs, and the historic allure of Stone Town.

The food at each of our stays was exceptional, adding to the overall experience. Safari G.O.A.T.S. provided seamless logistics, sustainable practices, and comfortable accommodations. For an unparalleled safari in Tanzania and a relaxing finish in Zanzibar, I highly recommend them. This trip gave me memories to cherish for a lifetime.

Best experience ever
5/5

We are very grateful to have our first experience in Africa with the Safari GOAT company. They are a reliable, responsible company and very attentive to their clients. We spent two weeks with our guide Frank. He is a guide with a lot of experience, knows Spanish, extensive knowledge of animals, culture and history. Thanks to him we saw many animals, he was very respectful, kind and we felt safe. If a problem arose, he solved it. Someone who can solve problems is very important to be able to continue with the day's activities. Eddie and the Safari GOAT team in their offices were always attentive to our calls, changes or requests in our program. The places or stays that they offer as an option were all beautiful, comfortable places with good service. So we recommend this company.

Excellent Value, Great People, Great Safari Experience
5/5

Citizens from the U.S
Good information to know before going
We decided to fly into Kenya (Nairobi) as flights were cheaper. The Kenyan ETA (Visa) needs to be completed before you arrive ($37usd). Once transfered to Tanzania you will have to pay the Tanzania Visa which is $100 USD pp. Only for US citizens is the Visa $100 USD rather than $50 for everyone else. We thought that was just fantastic (not at all).

The Safari - My girlfriend and I had a great experience with Safari Goats. They helped create a custom plan for us as we wanted to visit certain locations. Our guide Saidy was great! Very helpful, friendly, informative, and knew all the good locations where we could view the animals. When things weren’t as we expected, Safari Goats was helpful and flexible to make our itinerary and trip better and closer to what we wanted. We are thankful they helped create a once in a lifetime experience for us.
My girlfriend and I were very happy with a private safari, and not grouped with other people. This was great because we had more flexibility and space in the jeep which allowed us to move around and get the best angles to view the animals and to also stretch out and relax on the long rides. This also created a feeling that we were on an adventure rather than just being a tourist. Other people out on safaris were looking at us with envy because we had so much space and a nicer vehicle.
The accommodations and food were good. The tent camps were nice and the staff was very friendly. The only issue we had with one of the tent sites (Moyo) was that the water was delivered late for two days. The water arriving late made things uncomfortable as we had to sit and wait while being dirty from the day out on the safari and could not flush the toilet. Overall, the camp sites provided a good mixture of comfort and adventure. Incredible experience with Safari Goats. I would definitely recommend Safari Goat’s to anyone not looking for the standard tourist experience.

Very friendly, trustworthy and humorous!
5/5

I had a great time and we saw all the animals we wanted to see. Everybody was very welcoming and friendly! The tour itself was very nice and we were also able to sleep a lot of the way. The jeep was comfortable and there were many pockets to put your stuff in. The jeep did get very dusty and dirty after a drive along the safari roads, but that was to be expected. Our guide was very reliable, although he was sometimes a bit late! Nonetheless the trip was great and I truly enjoyed it. It was probably the best experience of my life. I strongly recommend Safari G.O.A.T.S to anybody who would like to visit Tanzania.

Safari GOATs are the consummate professionals.
5/5

On a recommendation from a friend we arranged our Mt Meru trek through Safari GOATs. Safari GOATs were quick to respond to all of our questions and every detail of our itinerary.

Mt. Meru was the hardest climb we’ve ever done, and we could not have done it without our head guide Amir. He prepared us for each day, made sure we were fed (even when we lost our appetites due to the high altitude), and he was with us every step of the way. He even taught my wife how to ‘monkey climb’ while bouldering in the dark of summit night. By the end of our trek, he became a friend.

Sayid was our chef and summit night guide. Every engine needs fuel, and we were so glad to have Sayid feeding ours. His soups were just the best. Fried chicken, delicious soups, and other lovely flavors greeted us at each meal. During our summit night my wife said ‘he saved me from falling’!

We could not have completed this challenge without our guides, porters, and Safari Goats! We highly recommend Safari GOATS and Amir and his crew. Mt. Meru was the highlight of our Tanzania vacation.

Epic Rewilding Experience
5/5

We just got back from an epic experience of a lifetime in Tanzania with Safari GOATs! Our most heartfelt thanks 🙏🙏🙏 goes to Eddy, who captained us from the foothills of Mt. Kilimanjaro to the Ngorongoro Crater, across the vast Serengeti plains and back! We didn’t only get up close and personal with the BIG 5 (elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard and rhino), but also witnessed a Wildebeest river crossing – with crocs in waiting no less!

As our guide, Eddy was reliable, resourceful and totally trustworthy over the course of our 12-day trip. But he was so much more! His cool, good-natured demeanor gave our journey a personal dimension that would not have been the same otherwise. Through his humorous storytelling we learned a great deal about life in Tanzania while sharing many laughs together!

Overall, our holiday in Tanzania exceeded all expectations! Our sincere gratitude goes to Eddy and Safari GOATs for planning our journey: from the terrific value-for-money selection of camps and lodges to accommodating our last-minute wishes and caffeine binges! Btw, any initial reservations we had about the food were completely unfounded—it was excellent! (Tip: If looking for a special nightout, check out the Lilac Oasis in Keratu on the road from Lake Manyara to Ngorongoro.)

Eddy had told us, "Nature gives you what you deserve, not what you want," as he took us on an incredible journey of rewilding. Still, the experience has left us truly wanting more, with the memories of the stunning scenery, fascinating peoples, and diverse wildlife still lingering in our minds.

Sharp instincts, informative and affable
5/5

We recently returned from an unforgettable safari in the Serengeti, and what truly made our experience exceptional was the expertly organization by our tour operator (Safari Goats) and our tour guide (Said).

From the moment we began planning our trip, Safari Goats impressed us with their professionalism and attention to detail. The itinerary they designed was nothing short of perfect, allowing us to experience the Serengeti, Lake Natron, and the Ngorongoro Crater in a way that felt both comprehensive and personalized. Every aspect of the trip was thoughtfully arranged, ensuring that we made the most of our time in Tanzania.

Said’s expertise was apparent every step of the way. Whether it was spotting a leopard camouflaged in shrubs or predicting the movements of a lion pride with astonishing accuracy, Said’s ability to read the landscape and anticipate animal behavior was nothing short of remarkable. Thanks to his sharp eyes and keen instincts, we witnessed some of the most thrilling wildlife encounters imaginable. One of the most unforgettable moments was when Said led us to a secluded spot where we were so fortunate to capture great photography of mating lions who were basking in the sunshine on some beautifully formed rocks.

Said’s commentary, filled with fascinating facts and stories, added layers of depth to the experience, making it not just a sight to behold, but a lesson in the intricate social dynamics of these majestic creatures.

Our adventure didn’t stop in the Serengeti. Thanks to the well-crafted itinerary by Safari Goats, we also had the incredible opportunity to visit Lake Natron, one of Tanzania’s most unique and striking landscapes. The lake’s otherworldly beauty, with its stark red waters and dramatic backdrop of the Ol Doinyo Lengai volcano, left us speechless. Said shared with us the fascinating story of Lake Natron’s high alkalinity and its role as a breeding ground for the lesser flamingos. Standing by the shores of this eerie, yet stunningly beautiful lake, we watched thousands of flamingos take flight—a surreal and magical experience that will stay with us forever.

Another highlight of our trip was the day Said guided us through the Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” The itinerary had been designed to ensure we experienced this natural marvel to its fullest. As we descended into the crater, we were greeted by one of the most breathtaking vistas we’ve ever seen—a lush, green oasis teeming with wildlife, encircled by towering crater walls. Said’s knowledge of the crater’s unique ecosystem made the experience even more enriching. We were fortunate enough to spot pretty much all of the native animals many of which are amongst the most endangered animals in the world, and Said explained the ongoing conservation efforts to protect all the majestic creatures.

What set Said apart was his genuine enthusiasm, sense of humour and affability. His joy was contagious—whether we were watching the Great Migration unfold before our eyes, exploring the surreal landscapes of Lake Natron, or marveling at the wildlife in the Ngorongoro Crater, Said made every moment feel special.

Safari Goats, the company Said represents, truly exceeded our expectations. Their meticulous planning and well-thought-out itinerary ensured that we experienced the best of Tanzania without any stress. Every detail of our trip, from the luxurious tented camps to the delicious meals that awaited us after a day of adventure, was thoughtfully arranged. It’s clear that Safari Goats is dedicated to providing top-notch experiences for their guests.

If you’re considering a safari in Tanzania, I cannot recommend Said and Safari Goats highly enough. They turned our dream of an African adventure into a reality, and we will forever be grateful.
