Unforgettable experience
John is the absolute best guide! My family and I had an unforgettable time thanks to John. He’s such and experienced guide who gave us a lot of educational information about all the animals we saw. He made sure to show us everything in Masai Mara. If you are planing a Safari in Africa, definitely book with John.
My family and I can’t wait for our next safari journey!

Perfect trip
John is an excellent guide. He knows a lot about nature and animals and is happy to share his knowledge. We saw so many animals during our trip, including the big 5. He gave good advice about the itinerary and things we could do in the area. In short we had the best time and made so many good memories.

The best Safari ever
John is the perfect guide! He is kind, polite, punctual and has a super view that made us detect animals we otherwise probably wouldn't see. He speaks perfect Italian and English. We traveled with two children and he always patiently answered all their questions. Both of them cried when we finished our safari. We had a great time with him. I really recommend you to choose camptrek safari for your next trip! You will not regret it!

Responsive tour operator with great local guides who helped us get the most out of our trip
We travelled in Kenya & Tanzania with Camptrek Safaris in October 24 visiting Amboseli, Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, Serengeti, Ngorongoro crate and Taragire. The office were very responsive to our queries and we were happy with the final itinerary.
We had an amazing trip and saw lots of wildlife, most notably many elephants, but also lions, cheetahs and leopard (albeit distantly), and of course zebra, giraffes, wildebeest etc.
Our driver guides were great, especially David, who we had in Kenya, he was so friendly and helpful as well as very knowledgeable and a good driver.
The accommodations were all lovely ( we opted for mid range places) especially those in / bordering the reserves, although we did have an issue with the one (fisherman’s camp) in Lake Navaisha, where they seemed to have accepted a better booking and shipped us off to a nearby house, that we then had to picked up from to go to dinner and breakfast. However David was great in sorting everything out and rearranging our itinerary to take account of the time this wasted.
The only negative was the vehicles which were rather old ( despite Camptrek advising me when we were planning the trip they were all recently purchased) both were around 10-15 years old and suffered mechanical issues ( the Kenya vehicle had no 1st gear)
Despite this we had a fabulous time and would recommend Camptrek, and David in particular.

Posted on Nov 10, 2024Dear Sharon,
Thank you for your honest feedback on the fisherman camp! We truly value your insights and are eager to consider more lodge options in future. We're also excited to share that we're gradually updating our fleet to elevate our clients' experiences even further!

12-day trip to Kenya, Tanzania, and Zanzibar with three guides.
We booked a 12-day trip to Kenya, Tanzania, and Zanzibar, with three different guides. The best and most memorable one was David, our guide in Kenya. He always had this big smile on his face, whether he was with us or chatting with hotel staff. Before every game drive, he’d remind us to check for our phones and bags. On the drives, he patiently taught us how to tell males from females, left from right, and even fun slang for different animals. If you’re booking with Camptrek, David is the one to go with!
In Tanzania, we had to change one of our tent stays because of our schedule change, but the new tent was honestly not up to the mid-range level we expected.
Our guide in Zanzibar not bad, but for booking activities, just ask the hotel front desk. It’s cheaper than what the guidequoted us.

1 Day tour Nakuru National Park e Lake Navaisha.
Very kind driver, we have seen lots of animals and also the Big Five except, unfortunately, the leopard.
Marvellous landscapes.

The safari experience was good. We truely enjoyed our trip,l.
Our experience with camptrek was good, they had provided what they promised. The guide Eric made aure we could spot all the animals. They made our trip enjoyable and comfortable. The accommodation booked by then were also good.

My advise is you avoid this company – we felt scammed
we were quoted on numerous quotations for morning safari and a boat ride. When we exchanged cash on the morning i was told the boat would be extra. If that wasn't annoying the night before our final day and morning safari, i was told it was there mistake we had no safari, and to do it we were to pay over $1200. I challenged this, with quotes which clearly stated it was
included i got no where and was told it wouldn't be happening unless i paid the money they demanded

Posted on Nov 8, 2024We arranged a "5-Day Hakuna Matata Safari" for the client at Sopa lodges, which included visits to Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru, and concluded at Sopa Masai Mara. However, the reservation office at Sopa lodges requested a change to our itinerary. They suggested that we begin at Lake Nakuru, then visit Masai Mara, and finish at Lake Naivasha due to unforeseen circumstances. We communicated this proposal to the client, and they agreed to the changes.
Under the original plan, the clients were scheduled to enjoy a complimentary morning game drive on their last day at Masai Mara, as they had ample time for it. With the revised itinerary, however, we could not arrange a morning game drive because it was necessary for the clients to arrive at Lake Naivasha in time for lunch to participate in a boat ride, walking safari, and other activities.
We informed the client about the conflict between the complimentary morning game drive and their lunch schedule through our driver. Unfortunately, there seems to have been a misunderstanding regarding this communication. We are dedicated to providing excellent service, ensuring our clients receive value for their money, and helping them create unforgettable adventures.
