You will have a fantastic journey with unbelievable emotions!
We found this tour through the internet. First, what we liked, was the pre booking deposit ( lower than in other firms). We just left the application, and our manager Veronica contacted us immediately. She is wonderful, communicative and professional person. She gave us all needed information, stayed in touch 10 days before trip. Moreover, she even gave us picture of the meeting person in air port.
The tour was good organised, the lunch was made fresh in hotel in Mikumi park. We had not only the variety of meal, but included drinks in prise.
Everything was really fast and easy, so you have just to enjoy animals ( we've seen all, except leopard)
After the arriving to Zanzibar, our driver was waiting us to get to hotel!)
Thank you, Safari tours Africa, especially Veronica!

Amazing service and commitment
Amazing service from the agent.
He planned the whole safari trip exactly as we asked. Very responsive and very friendly.
The agent was in touch with us every day on WhatsApp to make sure we are having good time.

Professional and well organized
We went on a 3-day safari tour to lake Manyara, Ngorongoro and Tarangire and we saw so many beautiful animals (hippo, lions, elephants, zebras, giraffes and many more). It was absolutely incredible. Had an amazing time!

Great safari in Mikumi national park!
We were on a one-day safari to Mikumi national park. We were picked up at our hotel in Stonetown at 5 am, and the flight was at 6:30.
The 1 hour flight itself was a great experience; a 14 seat propeller. The pilot fly in to the park at low heights so that we could see herds of zebras and giraffes!
At the airfield we were met by our guide and the safari started at the airfield. We were 7 people in the open car and we drove around the park for 4-5 hours watching the animals, birds and plants. We saw all the listed animals (except the leopard), and the highlight was when 5 lions came and lie down 1 meter from our car! We watched them for 30 minutes.
We had the lunch buffet (they had cold beers for sale!) before our flight departed at 2 PM.
Highly recommended!

Strongly recommend and have just a suggestion
If you want a detailed review, here it is.
We booked the Mikumi National Park 1-day safari from and back to Zanzibar.
We booked online via safari tours, and after submitting our request, we were contacted by Salimu via WhatsApp. He was always very fast in responding and helpful.
Our booking included pick up at the hotel we were staying, flight from Zanzibar to Mikumi, Game drive, lunch, flight back, and drop off at the hotel. We got everything that was agreed on.
Overall, I strongly recommend the experience. There are just a few details that could have been better.
The driver was supposed to pick us up at the hotel at 4.40 AM and when we walked out, he was already there waiting for us. Arriving to the airport, the driver walked with us to the meeting place (that we didn’t know about, but the driver did so we just followed him). There, we were “dropped off” at a café. Someone from the Salimu’s team came up to us, we checked our names on a list, paid by card, no problems.
We flew in a very small and quite old airplane for 13 people. I was extremely afraid BUT I must say that I am afraid of flying in small planes and a bit claustrophobic. The plane was extremely small, but I was positively surprised. Pilot did amazing. The landing is in the middle of the park and the game drivers are already there waiting. There are toilets in the air strip.
Our ride was with Patrick (guide). He was very nice, engaging on questions, and did a good job “searching” for our wishes.
We saw lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, impalas, hippos, crocodiles, monkeys, many different birds, everything.
Around 12 we stopped to eat lunch, and you can eat inside a facility or outside under some trees. There is also a few cottages in the same area, so again toilets and some infrastructure.
Lunch was delicious. Nothing to complain.
We drove a bit more and back to the airplane. We flew back in the same plane with the same pilot, again did a great job.
Zanzibar airport is quite chaotic, and the other people from the same tour had maybe different agreements or booked through different agents, but me and my husband were a bit lost on how to go back to the hotel. There was nobody from Salimu’s team to meet us and say “here it is your ride back to the hotel”.
We just found the taxi drivers that were waiting for passengers, so we decided to walk back to the Café that we met the Tour guys in the morning, or pick up a taxi by ourselves. At the Cafe, there was a lady that I asked about if there were anyone from Salimu’s team, or his agency. She said she would call him (she wasn’t very happy to help but did anyway) and quickly our driver came to find us, didn’t take more than 5 minutes. So, no problem coming home again.
Here is my only complaint/suggestion:
We felt a bit lost on how things would go because we had the feeling that the tourism agency would have someone to gather us and to give us direction when we landed. It might sound silly but it would give us more confidence and understanding of what is going on if we are informed before hand on how things unfold, instead of learning while they are happening.

Christmas Day safari
I booked with African safari tours for a Christmas Day safari. Salimu was great everything was well organised and he was quick to respond via WhatsApp for any questions or confirmations I had.
On the day I was picked up from my hotel, dropped at the airport where I was met by one of Salimu’s team. Then we were escorted to the plane.
The pilot was so good take off and landing was very smooth and journey took around 1 hour 10 minutes.
When we arrived we were put in an English speaking group with an English speaking guide. Our group was such a nice group of people we all got on well and had so much fun : )
We saw all animals including lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, impala’s, baboons, hippos and more.
We then had a nice lunch then went back out to see the animals again before returning to the plane to fly back to Zanzibar.
It was such a memorable experience
Thank you so much : )

Best safari package in a short notice!
Salimu was extremely responsive with all the communication and thoughrally answered all our questions regarding the safari. He organized all the necessary transfers and flights from Zanzibar to the Safari tour and back. Plus a very warm welcome during the arrival day.
Our Safari driver Frank was very skilled and had a knack of finding all the rare game for us with the best views. We enjoyed our 4-day game drive in Terengire National Park, Ngorongoro conservation area, Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater National Park. We saw a lot of elephants, giraffes, lions, ostriches, zebras, buffalos, gasells, wildebeests, hyenas, hippos and many more. We were also able to spot several Rhinos, few cheetahs and even 2 leopards!
We believe we had the best accomodation available with the short notice around the new years eve - there was one downgrade to regular tent due to unavailability but the facilities at the Simba A campsite in Ngorongoro were in very good condition with hot showers. Just make sure you are a camper type of a person and take warm clothes with you.
We thoughrally enjoyed our stay in Moyo Luxury Camp in Serengeti - wish we could have stayed there even longer.
The food by our cooks was average but fulfilling.
Overall we were very happy with our Safari and give strong recommendations for the operator.
