The local guide I found on safariigo was unexpectedly a local Maasai guide. Compared with other local guides, we had an extra Maasai guide throughout the trip. The local guide, guide and driver were all very nice. They really took good care of us during the safari and livened up the atmosphere. We also learned a lot about the interesting Maasai culture because of the guide. Before sending us to the airport, the local guide invited us to his office for lunch and gave each of us a hand-woven friendship bracelet with our own name and the flags of China and Tanzania. 7 days in amazing Tanzania!
Our 7-day trip was organised by Kipe who offered an exceptionally responsive, personal and professional service and created an itinerary which completely suited our requirements. The choice of accommodation was well thought out and our guides Freddie and Samuel were amazingly knowledgable about the local terrain, animals and fauna. Experiencing Kipe’s village was a highlight and learning about the great outreach work he does was inspiring, you don’t often meet a 25 year old that has built a school. I can’t recommend Kipe adventures enough, from start to finish the team always had a smile on their face and ensured we did too!

Unforgettable Maasai-led safari and village experience that also supports local communities
Our family of four took a five day safari with Kipe Adventures to Tarangire, central and northern Serengeti, and Ngorogoro Crater. From the beginning, we new Kipe was the one to work with. He responded quickly to all our questions and designed a trip around our preferences. It was important to us to work with a local owned company that supported the community, and even more so a Maasai-owned and led company. The safari jeep had everything needed, our driver had decades of experience so was very skilled at navigating the roads and finding spots to view the animals different from where all the cars were gathered, and in addition we had a Maasai guide with us who provided lots of insights into Maasai life and animal life. The last day we visited Kipes village which was a truly authentic, meaningful and unforgettable experience, unlike many of the other villages set up for tourists to stop by quickly and take photos. We believe that traveling into another country and culture is just as much about the people you meet as the places you see, and Kipe and his crew made our time in Tanzania unique, memorable, and special. There are hundreds of safari companies. If you want a big impersonal international company, look elsewhere. If you want a truly personal experience where the owner of the company is a local Maasai who is doing extraordinary things for his village in spite of all the challenges, is incredibly kind and generous in addition to running his business skillfully, wants to give back and will become your friend, Kipe Adventures is the only way to go.
