Extremely professional, saw lots of wildlife, and even threw in a few extra experiences just for us!
Highly recommend this tour operator. We booked with Kisambi Tours as they offered a 4-day tour including both Serengeti National Park and a one-day hike of Kilimanjaro, plus a drive along the Ngorongoro crater rim, and Tarangire National Park. Their package offered the most variety of activities, as we were in Tanzania for a short period and wanted to make the most of our trip. Elisante, the owner, was very responsive to all queries via email, and customized the trip based on all of my requests; Kisambi tours was even able to find gluten-free options for my husband. They chose excellent luxury accommodations for us, with a special highlight staying in tented lodges in the Serengeti. Throughout the trip, Elisante was in constant contact, and very readily reachable when we had any concerns. Our safari guide Lemack was excellent as well - he knew exactly where to go to spot the most wildlife, and was prepared with a speaker to handle/summon different animals. He even scheduled an impromptu visit with a local Maasai village, an amazing cultural experience. Tanzania is a spectacularly beautiful country, which our safari with Kisambi Tours showcased in droves.

Great trip!
We had a fantastic safari with a wonderful guide, Rashid. He was very knowledgeable and considerate. He was very helpful when my mother was ill. The lodges were great and we got some wonderful sightings. We highly recommend Kisambi Tours.

Good local company
I would recommend Kisambi as a local tour guide for Kilimanjaro and Safari.
It feels good that the money goes directly to a local company with local employees.
The management and tour guides were excellent at communication and leadership.

Fantastic Mr Meru hike
Wonderful experience on a 4 day hike of Mt Meru. Matthew is the ultimate guide .... professional, punctual, informative and fun to be with. He and his great support team made the hike a real pleasure, and without their support the summit would not have been possible. However, we did summit and we totally enjoyed the hike. Kisambi were very reliable and everything ran like clockwork. Highly recommended.

Great overall experience from local people
We climbed Mt Kilimanjaro with Kisambi. Jerry, our main guide, and his crew, Anthony and KD were great all along. They helped us overcome all our fears along the way, supported us when we needed them and most important, managed to get all 5 of us at the top, healthy and happy! If you want to experience the climb with a local crew and exceptional local porters Kisambi is your operator. Thank you guys for being there for us and making this unique experience an unforgettable one!

Amazing experience for both Safari, as well as Kilimanjaro climb.
In particularly, we wanted to book with a Tanzanian tour operator, so ended up at Kisambi tours, which was recommended to us by a friend. From the beginning onwards, Elisante was very helpful in discussing the possibilities for our tight schedule, and provided us with travel itineraries for all options. The communication beforehand was very smooth, making the preparations upon arrival in Moshi very pleasant. Upon arrival at the bus stop, we were picked up and since then, it felt like an 'adventurous all-inclusive holiday to never forget'. Both the climb as well as the safari were private (I think this is most often the case).
We started with a 7 day Lemosho Kilimanjaro hike, in which we were accompanied by our guides Rama and Amani. The guides were super friendly, and knowledgable. The porters (8) made sure to arrive at the camp earlier than we did, in order to be able to change clothes immediately, or sit on the camping chair. It was nice to see that the porters and guides really team up (they always works together in this composition).
We were truly amazed by the food that was prepared during the climb, especially considering the limited utilities. Upon arrival, hot water was provided for water/hot chocolate/ tea, accompanied by popcorn. When possible, the chef prepared a warm lunch halfway. In the evening, dinner started with soup, and always fruit as dessert. Whereas I could overcome the 'toilets' at the campsites, looking back: my friend would have paid an additional fee to have a portable toilet along.
After the climb, we were dropped off at our hotel to get a hot shower and rest for a bit. The next morning we were picked up by Gabrielli for our next adventure: a 3-day safari in Tarangire, Ngorongoro crater and lake Manyara. Gabrielli was very relaxed, knowledgeable and respectful towards the animals. Especially his attitude towards the animals: 'We'll just wait here for a bit and they will come to us: you'll see', made him a really good guide, since in our opinion other safari vans could be very intrusive towards the wildlife.
All in all, our experience was really good and we would totally recommend Kisambi to anyone planning to go to Tanzania.
