Very professional and responsive.
5/5

My family and I did the 4 day fly-in safari to the Mara North Reserve. The experience exceeded my expectations. Bob provided detailed itineraries when I expressed interest in the safari and right before my final payment. They were followed diligently. He booked us our domestic flights and they were comfortable and saved us a lot of time. We were picked up in a modern, air conditioned vehicle by who appeared to be a professional driver, I didn’t ask, who drove us to my parent’s hotel and then to the domestic airport and was able to accommodate our unique itinerary. Bob booked us a luxury tented hotel compound that provided exquisite service and security. I felt very safe from animals the whole stay. The compound was unfenced but the hotel provided security on call if you wanted to walk between tents at night. I saw hippos and a crocodile from my tent, but there’s no way they could have gotten up to it. Bob will communicate with you regarding your hotel choice and give you all available options. Our safari guide was an expert, and we saw a large number of animals including lions, cheetahs, elephants, and many more. Our vehicle was modern and 4-wheel drive. I wanted to do more and more game drives and wished we stayed longer. Overall I highly recommend Kevic and it was definitely worth the money.

Exceptional service, easy to deal with, would book again!
5/5

Our safari was quite complex as we were travelling around Kenya to see several game reserves, but this was no problem for Kevic tours. We toured from Nairobi to Amboseli, to Lake Naivasha, to Masai Mara, to Lake Nakuru and to Ol Pejeta Conservancy before then being taken back to Nairobi on our 8th day. We managed to book in the Chimpanzee sanctuary near Sweetwaters as well as a quick detour visit to Thomson Falls, none of this was any trouble for Bob at Kevic Tours or John our guide. We had good communications from Bob, he advised of the plan, how to obtain our visa for Kenya and the time we would be picked up after our overnight stay in Nairobi. He also provided us with the Whatsapp number for our guide, John so we could communicate easily. John drove us everywhere, and was very adept at navigating the busy Kenyan roads, nothing was too much trouble for him. He stopped at good rest stops for us to use the washrooms as needed, as we were travelling with two children as well. He made sure we were booked in to each camp we were staying in before he left us to get settled. He knew all the game reserves well, where to find the animals at the right time of day, we had lots of fun. He pointed things out whilst we were driving to each reserve, as we did a lot of road driving throughout Kenya, which was interesting and we had some great conversations about Kenya as well. We thoroughly enjoyed each camp we stayed at, and would certainly stay at all of them again. This was pretty much all inclusive, we just paid for drinks as extra and obviously any souveneirs. However all food was provided and this was definitely plentiful and yum! Drinking water was also provided in the land rover each day. Words cannot really express how much we enjoyed the safari, John was just absolutely amazing and he definitely made it a great trip as well as seeing all the animals as well. We would book through Kevic again as their process was nice and easy, and communication with them was easy as well. Bob checked in with us a couple of times to make sure we had been picked up at the airport, and then again the following day from Nairobi, and we met in person on the 3rd day just to make sure all was well. This was definitely a trip to remember!

Very good communication with Kevic Tours (Bob) and s Great tour guide/driver (Douglas).
5/5

The safari with our Tour Guide / Driver Douglas in Masai Mara was simply fantastic! Douglas always made an effort to fulfill our wishes, making the experience particularly enjoyable. The diversity and quantity of animals in Masai Mara Park pleasantly surprised us – an impressive safari. The accommodation at Zebra Plains Camp also made our stay perfect. Regarding the vehicle, there were some minor issues such as a flat tire and engine problems, but Douglas always swiftly fixed them. Overall, an unforgettable journey with Kevic Tours that we highly recommend!

Special thanks to Bob, who was very patient and found solution to every problem that we had while preapering to our Safari. Amazing experience with Kevic Tours
5/5

The trip we had with Kevic Tours was amazing, it was a private tour so we had the car to ourselves. Cyrus was such an amazing tour guide with so much knowledge about the places and the animals in Kenya. My favorite was the Maasai Mara Reserve and the Amboseli Park, with plenty of animals to see around. Breathtaking experience

Very responsive, great service!
5/5

Kevic Tours was very professional on the get go, from our first communication (sending of quotation) until the time they dropped us off. They gave some flexibility in our schedule, and accommodated my last minute booking of hot air balloon without fuss. They’re also very easy to talk to, even during the trip. We definitely had a great time with Grace and Morris!

Extremely helpful and made the whole trip amazing!
5/5

The whole experience was very simple. Truffy was very informative and knowledgeable, and helped arrange a bespoke safari for me which met all my wants and felt comfortable and not too hectic. Communication was great, by email and whatsapp, and she even met me in Nairobi at the start and end of my safari to make sure everything went smoothly. I opted for the luxury accommodation and both properties were perfect; beyond my expectations. The driver and tour guide made the trip amazing, with his excellent knowledge of the country and wildlife. I'd say the booking was great value for money and I can't fault a single thing. I've already recommended them to a couple of friends and colleagues who are looking to book for next year.

Great people, great communication before arrival, timely responses, tailored to specific needs
5/5

Kevic tours is a top Safari operator. From the beginning when we started our planning, Truffy was amazing with listening to our needs and made great effort to make our holiday memorable. From the first contact Truffy was alway online to answer our questions, help to plan our transfers, and check on us before arrival that we did not forget anything (visa, things for safari, etc.). Our driver & safari guide John was excellent & safe driver, caring person, trying his best to make our short visit to Masai Mara as memorable as possible. We spend together 2 short days, and we left each other as friends :)

great trip, but be careful when reserving
3/5

Tough to provide a review for this one - on the one hand the actual trip went really well, and we had a fantastic experience with Paxton (our driver). Would really recommend him, he’s great company and really knowledgeable.

On the other hand the organization was a bit trickier - they were responsive, 24/7 but also sneaky. When organizing an addition to the safari, we were given quotes that included park entry fees that were double the official ones. When confronted about this they did not back down, and tried to justify them with bogus “late booking fees”. I ended up booking that part with another operator.

Similarly, on a separate safari organised by my partner, they tried to sell “driving out of the park” as a morning safari.

Would very much recommend doing your own research and asking questions when booking

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us.

We are delighted you had a fantastic experience with Paxton and found him knowledgeable and great company. We will certainly pass along your commendations to him. As our reviews show, customer-oriented service is a core value at Kevic Tours and Travel, shared across the board with our employees.

We deeply regret the issues you faced in organizing your safari. We want to assure you that we take transparency and fairness seriously, and we are actively working to address these concerns.
We want to clarify that Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) issued new park fee directives to take effect on 1st January 2024., available at this link: https://kws.go.ke/content/draft-rules-and-regulations-conservation-fees-period-2023-2025.

There are ongoing negotiations in court to oppose the increased rates. Still, we must use the official rates at the time of costing to avoid inconveniencing clients during travel. Based on your request to visit Nairobi National Park, we shared the 2024 rates of $100 per adult. We apologize for the miscommunication that might have occurred because of this.

Regarding the morning safari in Masai Mara, the park entry fee increased from $80 per person per 24 hours to $100 per 12 hours, effective January 2024. On checkout day, your friend, Clemence Moinier, requested an extra game drive with the pop-up roof open for better game viewing. This deviated from the agreed-upon enroute game drive with the pop-up roof closed while exiting the park within the transit window up to 10:00 am, as outlined in the package and as per standard park policies.

The designated driver guide, and the office both made every effort to communicate the situation to your friend. To ensure her satisfaction, we absorbed the additional fuel and driver’s allowance costs and provided an extra game drive (morning-afternoon) at no additional charge.

Additionally, we regret any confusion regarding the "morning safari" and will review our communications to prevent such misunderstandings. A 12-hour validity ticket means that the game drive is valid for the day you enter the park, from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. In cases where the client is staying at a property located inside the game park, the regulations allow a park exit window of up to 10:00 a.m. on the following day. We usually utilize this window to offer an en-route game drive, during which the pop-up roof must remain closed. Otherwise, the authorities will treat it as a game drive and demand payment for that day, and in some cases, impose fines to both the clients and the tour operator.
We also wish to observe that Paxton took your travel party on an extra morning game drive in Amboseli National Park without additional charges.

As a matter of policy, we strictly adhere to using the official, published park entry fees. We do not mark up these fees. Your feedback is of utmost importance to us as we continuously strive to enhance our services. We value your understanding and look forward to the opportunity to serve you better in the future.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any further concerns or questions. We have also emailed you to discuss this further and reach a satisfactory conclusion for both parties.
