Great operator with a good value/ money ratio
Thanks to Serengeti clarity for this unforgettable experience. From the pick
up in Arusha to the final goodbyes in Moshi - everything went smoothly. We saw everything we could imagine during our safari due to our great guide “Captain”. Many thanks again! The accommodations booked by Serengeti Clarity were also very good and we always felt at home. Especially Kon Tiki Camp in Serengeti, the Karatu Simba lodge and heart and soul lodge were amazing! Will definitely book with this operator again when coming back to Tanzania!

Great communication, amazing tour guide, very competitive price, amazing safari
I found Serengeti Clarity through "Safaris by Ella". I emailed and whatsapped Frank and he was very responsive and easy to communicate with, arranging a phone call to find out our needs. He created a tailored safari based on exactly what we wanted whilst also giving his recommendations. Prices were the best I found after getting quotes from a few Tanzanian companies and some international companies.
Greeted by Frank and our tour guide off the plane in Arusha. Very friendly and welcoming staff, quick and easy to make final payment, introduction and we were off towards Serengeti!
Our guide Kelvin was incredible. He was so kind, generous and went the extra mile every day to make sure we had a good time. He was very knowledgable about flora and fauna and seemed to know every other guide in Serengeti and seemed to be a popular man which we could understand why!
Lunches were amazing and worth paying for luxury in my opinion as our lunches looked a LOT better than other safari groups.
We did 5 days.
Day 1 - Central Serengeti - long drive from Arusha but an amazing evening watching the sun go down with some wine on the savanna
Day 1 accommodation - Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge - 10/10 - great food, amazing staff, amazing location, stunning hotel.
Day 2 - North Serengeti - drive north for a few hours then observing the great migration. tried to watch a river crossing but too many predators (crocs and leopard) prevented the wildebeest crossing.
Day 2 accommodation - Baobab luxury camp Mara River - amazing luxury camping, awesome experience in the middle of nowhere, great food.
Day 3 - Central Serengeti - managed to observe Wildebeest river crossing before driving back for a game drive in central Serengeti and an early finish for some R&R.
Day 3 accommodation - Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge - 10/10 - great food, amazing staff, amazing location, stunning hotel.
Day 4 - Drive to Ngorongoro crater. Amazing day and Kelvin went the extra mile to give us the best experience possible seeing Rhino close up with the lead Crater Ranger after helping out some other tourists who had crashed and were injured.
Day 4 accommodation - Lake Manyara Serena Lodge - Was great, very similar to Serengeti Serena but not as good food but still no complaints at all. Beautiful pool.
Day 5 - Lake Manyara Safari - this was great, had some amazing close ups with Elephant. Then drove to Arusha and stayed in Gran Melia hotel which was STUNNING and great food.
If I were to do the safari again, I would have done days 1, 2, 3 the same. Maybe would have stayed in Ngorongoro crater Serena Lodge after day 4 safari then the next morning finished/driven to Arusha to have an extra day in Zanzibar on the beach or whatever else you want to do. Lake Manyara was a good Elephant experience but otherwise we didn't have any other new experience.
We saw the big 5 and had amazing encounters with all of them which was amazing.
First 2 days we got back quite late to the hotels and felt like we couldn't enjoy the luxury accommodation we had paid for but the last few days Kelvin made sure we had more evening to relax.
In summary, I would highly recommend Serengeti Clarity but would recommend 4 days as I suggested above. Kelvin was an incredible guide and exceeded our expectations, our accommodation was great and would recommend upgrading to luxury and food was very good all week.

Hamisi was amazing!! He was warm and knowledgeable and took excellent care of us!
I highly recommend Serengeti Clarity!!! Our safari experience surpassed our wildest dreams and our guide Hamisi was amazing!! He always got us the best spots for viewing and taking pictures and he took excellent care of us the entire time.
Great Tanzanian Tour!
Spent 6 days with Abdul from Serengeti Clarity for the Tanzanian portion of a Kenya-Tanzania itinerary and it was fantastic.
For context - I planned my entire route (including accommodation selection) with another Kenya-based company who then selected Clarity for the Tanzania portion, so I did not have any direct contact or planning with SC before the trip and didn't even know I'd be with them until I met Abdul at the border - but it was a great time.
My itinerary in Tanzania was:
Day 1: pickup at the border, drive to Serengeti, and Northern Serengeti Game Drive (with a wildebeest migration river crossing!)
Day 2: Northern to Central Serengeti and Central Serengeti Game Drive
Day 3: Central Serengeti to Ngorongoro, and Ngorongoro Crater game drive
Day 4: Ngorongoro to Tarangire, and Tarangire game drive
Day 5: Tarangire bush walk and game drive, and travel to Moshi
Day 6: Kilimanjaro day hike and flight from Kilimanjaro to Nairobi
Abdul is a great guide - friendly, professional, knowledgeable, experienced, and a good driver. We followed the planned itinerary quite closely, with (agreed) deviations only in some of the smaller details - but he maintained some flexibility so that we could tweak things as the days went on.
The car was (predictably) a land cruiser and had charging / power outlets onboard which was nice to have - otherwise a fairly standard Safari 4x4
I had a great trip in Tanzania with Abdul, full of amazing experiences, photos, and memories, and would gladly do it again / recommend it!

Excellent
Our guide Hamis is super nice and knowledgeable and he has a super gps in his head and he has eagle eyes to spot any animals. We are so lucky to collect big five in 4 days and a live lion hunting session. We even saw a lion lying on a rock like the lion king. The rhino was miles away but he still can spot it. Peter is sweet and gave us really special souvenir and help us arrange night game and all itinerary. Frank was very responsive when we were doing enquiry and help us tailor make the most exceptional holiday. Every meal is delicious and authentic local food. Everything is excellent.

Serengeti Clarity is responsible and amazing .
Our guide : Abdulaziz is amazing , he is really helpful and fully knowledgeable. We were so lucky that to see the migration and collected the BIG FIVE during the safari with him . He is a good driver as we have a long drive almost everyday and he did make sure our safety . Our safety for him is the most important thing. And we can feel it he loves the animals and protecting the environment by not getting so close to them or disturbing them . We highly recommend him to your next adventure.

Perfect planning and execution for us to enjoy the most amazing 10 day luxury safari
I booked a 10 day Tanzania and Kenya safari with Serengeti Clarity for my parents (age low 60s) and my husband and myself (age low 30s). They did an absolutely amazing job and we had the best experience working with them. My parents said this was the best trip they’ve ever taken because it was such a rich experience. When it comes to everything you would care about for a trip to Africa - safety/security, thoroughness, learning, comfort, ease, thoughtfulness, cost - Serengeti Clarity does it all top notch.
Tour Operators: The tour operators handle the communication and coordination of your trip. I thought I was primarily communicating with Frank the whole time, but upon arrival learned that they have a team (Peter and Masai) who help to make communications perfectly seamless and to ensure that you have a good response time. This team is great. First of all, they respond so fast. I remember there were times where I’d get a response from them and I’d check the local time and it was 4 am their time. Second of all, they are super accommodating and great at personalizing your trip to exactly how you want it to be. I changed my itinerary a bunch of times, and they made sure to accommodate every detail, whether it be adding new excursions, changing routes, upgrading accommodations, etc. They created a personalized 20+ page itinerary for me that I basically used as my bible. It had so much detail that when I was applying for my Kenya visa, it was so easy because all the information I needed (about things like which border we were crossing in from) were already included! Third of all, they really go above and beyond to ensure that you feel really comfortable about your trip. I have 2 really great examples of this. I put in the incorrect birth country when applying for the Tanzania visa and I was super stressed about this and whether they would be allowed in the country. I tried contacting the embassy, but they weren’t responding to emails. I messaged our Serengeti Clarity tour operators with my concern, and although this was totally out of scope for them, they went and called the embassy from their side to help assure us that there’d be no problems on entry! This really gave me peace of mind prior to us flying in. The other amazing above and beyond thing they did was really make sure our accommodations were to our expectations. I wanted this trip to be extremely enjoyable for my parents, so I was looking at 5 star accommodations for my parents. Serengeti Clarity operates out of Tanzania, so they really know Tanzania the best. Since we were also going to Kenya, Frank actually went to Kenya to check on the quality of the accommodations there to make sure they were up to our expectations. He ended up deciding that we should try some different accommodations because he felt the original ones needed some renovations. And I’m SO glad we took his advice and changed accommodations per his recommendations because we absolutely loved our new Kenya accommodations. I was really so impressed by the thought and care that went into planning our trip for us. Lastly, I want to mention cost. My family and I did what we considered a luxury safari where all the accommodations were extremely nice, 5 star level hotels. I actually first looked at how much it would cost me if I were to book everything on my own, just to have a reference point. Honestly, if I had booked everything on my own, I would have had to spend a few thousand dollars more per person. Serengeti Clarity not only booked and planned a seamless trip for us, but I feel they passed on a lot of savings down to their customers.
I’m honestly so thankful for the Serengeti Clarity team and all their thoroughness and thoughtfulness that went into planning my trip. I normally plan my trips on my own, so I have very high expectations, but Serengeti Clarity met and exceeded all of them. Oh, bonus, when we arrived, they gave us paintings and safari hats to welcome us. It was very sweet!
Next, Tour Guides: We went on a 6 day Tanzania Safari with Kelvin from Serengeti Clarity and a 4 day Kenya Safari with George from MeekTrails (partner tour company on the Kenya side). Both our guides were absolutely amazing. They actually had slightly different styles, which worked out really well! Kelvin was like your new best friend and family member as a tour guide. We could tell he cared deeply for us, and he made us feel so comfortable from the very start of our trip. At the end of our 6 days, my dad was actually best pals with Kelvin, which is really impressive because my whole family is really quite shy. He also hustled to get us to see all the things we wanted to see and checked off a bunch of things from our list - his expertise and decision making really allowed us to experience Tanzania to the fullest. George was the perfect role model for an extremely professional tour guide. After more than halfway through our trip, we were pretty tired, but he helped us close out our trip in leisure and comfort. Both were excellent and exactly what we needed in that moment. After being with both of them, I have SO much respect for our tour guides and all the skills they have that make them such amazing guides.
First of all, endurance - they drive for 10 hours straight every day, they’re normally ready before us and they spend the night cleaning the car too and preparing for the next day. George never let any of that tiredness show, I don’t even think I saw him use the bathroom the entire time we were together. I was kind of shocked out the level of professionalism and service.
Second of all, expertise - they’re so knowledgeable about all of the animals, history of their countries, culture, science, etc. My dad has a PhD in biology, but he was thoroughly impressed with how much both guides knew and he was so excited to get to learn so much from them. It was not easy, I’m sure, for both guides, but both easily held long, in depth, detailed conversations with my dad and really taught all of us so much.
Third of all, care - it was so clear how much the guides cared about the community, the parks and animals, and their clients. We would constantly witness Kelvin picking up after others, noticing other tour’s safari truck doors not fully closed and closing them for them, chasing away animals that stole food from other groups, and just overall spreading good cheer to everyone. It’s just so nice being around someone who genuinely cares for other people and the world.
Fourth of all, great driving skills - our drivers had to go over rough terrain, driving through rivers sometimes, and even navigating city traffic. They could do it all while still making the drive extremely comfortable and pleasant and safe.
Lastly, attentiveness and detail - while navigating the tough terrain, they managed to still spot animals before us. They always figured out how to get us to bathrooms or comfortable places to pee throughout the day. They watched our energy level to see if they should maximize our viewing or let us rest. They always had maps in their head on how to get us to where we needed to go (they didn’t use GPS at all…it was crazy).
Honestly, I am seriously impressed with our tour guides and how many skills they had in order to give us the most memorable experience and take such amazing care of us.
I hope you find this review useful and I hope you book with Serengeti Clarity. The team is amazing and we could not have had such an amazing experience and journey without them.

Lifetime experience!
There are not enough words to describe our amazing experience with kelvin and serengeti clarity. He was so friendly, knowledgeable and interesting (being born into a maasai tribe) He never gave up on the game drive search for the big 5 and we were not disappointed!! We were very happy with SC for communication (Frank), accommodation and overall safari experience. I 100% recommend this company 👌 👏
Caring, Passion, FUN
We had an excellent safari with Abdul and Serengeti Clearity! We started in Kenya and booked with MeekTrails (sister company) as companies cannot cross the boarder and work. MeekTrails and Serengeti Clearity were in constant communication so everything was flawless. So much logistics goes into these safaris and they handled it professionally. We had issues with the Tanzania online visa not working correctly, but not to worry, $100 USD PP and only 15 minutes you can complete at the boarder. The boarder exchange between the 2 companies was excellent. We truly didn’t need to think at all.
Abdul made us feel right at home making sure we had everything or needed anything. He really is there looking after you. Professional guide, there to answer questions and most importantly knows the roads like the back of his hand. He has been a safari guide for almost 15 years and knows every turn & road in the Serengeti & Tanzania. The roads in Tanzania are poor, however Abdul handled the roads like a champ. Ensuring safety and care of his clients. Having a WiFi hotspot & charging outlets in the 4x4 was a big plus.
Safari Days are LONG, and lots of time spent in the 4x4. Abdul always ensured we were comfortable, and maximize our game drives. These drivers work looooong hours driving on these poor roads and have to be exhausted but they do not show it at all, and really want you to expedience the beauty of their country.
There are 100s of safari companies, and I would not hesitate to book with SC again. Abdul was fantastic and took excellent care of us!
