Private safari with reliable and professional guide
We booked a private safari Tour (6-Day The Ultimate Southern Escape) with Destiny Explorers starting and ending from Dar es Salaam.
We visited 3 National Parks: Nyerere, Mikumi and Ruaha. All transfers and game drives took place in the same vehicle: a Toyota Land Cruiser. The tour was customizable, for Ruaha NP we asked in advance to switch to another lodge which worked out perfect for us.
Our trip was at the beginning of December, meaning less activity at the lodges and at the game drives overall. Despite beginning of rain season, we saw a huge amount of animals, including 4/5 big five!
Our driver Gilbert did an amazing job, despite long travel hours and harsh conditions on the road. During the Game Drives, he was very knowledgeable and flexible to accomodate to our needs. Communications were no problem with Gilbert, he was very reliable to the agreed planning. No rushing and always in a good mood!
All lunch boxes provided during the tour had a large selection of good food, we haven’t encountered any problems with the lodges during the tour.
The only drawback could be the long travel hours spent in the transfers, especially from Ruaha back (+12H), which we were not completely aware of. Maybe we would have considered taking a plane back for the last transfer to enjoy more of Ruaha National Park and of the Lodge for an additional Morning/Day Game drive, since we had to depart early before sunrise!
Overall we can fully recommend Gilbert and Destiny Explorers for this tour and would happily do it again!

excellent service in an authentic way
We are excited about the safari we booked bij Destiny explorers, a young, small company, that gives you an extra personal service!
The contact before we travelled to Tanzania was very professional and quick, we got an answer to all our questions and the suggestions we got were very helpful!
Even we didn't know what to expect, the communication with ISSA, the owner, gave us a reassuring feeling.
Once in Tanzania, everything was as communicated and promised.
Our guide/driver was young and enthusiast who really loved his job, and he did everything to provide us an unforgettable safari!
The lodges were awesome, and the food (as wel breakfast, dinner and lunchboxes) was delicious!
Also the activities next to the safari (one day walk on Kilimanjaro, coffee explanation, walk to waterfall) are very well organised and impressive!
We are very grateful to the whole team of Destiny!! and of course we recommend this pure Tanzanian company to everyone!

Peter was our tour guide and he was great. He found us all the animals.
Peter was our tour guide and was very knowledgeable. He knew the names and information of every plant and animal we found. He got is close to so many animals and we saw way more than we were expecting. I would recommend Destiny Explorers for their professional service.

Amazing!
We had an amazing experience with Destiny Explorers. We are picky travelers and wanted to make our own itinerary according to our previous research on the area and our interests, so Issa helped us find the best alternatives and we came up with a cool plan for our 7-day safari.
We had two guides (an English-speaking driver/guide and an extra guide that spoke Spanish, who we thought could help those of us not fluent in English during the trip). Both of them were very knowledgeable, answered all of our questions about the animal species and also gave us interesting facts about Tanzania, its geography and its culture.
The selection of tented camps and lodges was perfect and we enjoyed all of them. They were clean, nice, comfortable and the food was mostly amazing.
Finally, seeing the animals in their natural habitat was quite breathtaking. This was some of us’ long life dream and we were very satisfied with this trip.
Thank you so much for our great adventure!

Excellent communication, reliable transportation, knowledgeable guide
Our family had a lovely safari with Destiny. Issa was a wonderful communicator and answered all inquiries promptly. Noah was a very friendly tour guide, he was a careful driver and wow, we saw so much during our tours. The serengeti was amazing and Noah knew his way around for sure! The lodging was comfortable, the food was very good. Eileen's trees was amazing. We had an amazing time, and would do it all again!

Noel is a brilliant safari guide!
Having been on many safaris, I can honestly say that Noel is the best guide I have used. In 3 days he showed us 43 lions including a pride with 14 cubs, 5 cheetah, 2 leopards, and 4 rhinos! His knowledge of the game parks and wildlife was amazing and his warm personality made the drives on the Serengeti “washboard” roads pleasant. You can’t go wrong with Destiny Explorers and Noel.

Amazing Safari Trip
We went on a 4 day/ 3 night safari trip with Destiny Explorers. It was such an awesome experience. Issa was amazing to work with and always responded back professionally and promptly to all my questions. He even assisted me with non-safari related topics and provided additional insights for the entire vacation. The selection of the camped tent - Narundi, was great. We were in Kenya and Tanzania for 2 weeks, and that was one of the best accommodation and food we had the entire stay. Our driver David was a joy to spend time with. He was very professional, patient, kind, and we enjoyed spending 4 days with him as our driver/guide. Highly recommend booking with Destiny Explorers.

Well run operator - Ndutu region recommended - saw everything we wanted
We did a 5 day / 4 night Serengeti tour. Spent most of our time in the south in Ndutu. This proved to be wise in late December where we saw the wildebeest migration, multiple families of lions, a cheetah , slept amongst the animals at night . It’s a great area . Our guide , David, is a solid individual and I recommend him. We saw 6 rhinos in Ngorgorgoro. We also did a walking safari near there but I would skip as it takes time away from the crater and is a little underwhelming . Issa who runs the company is very responsive and organized and you should book with confidence .

Great experience all around!
Issa was super responsive and helpful in helping plan and book our safari, and he even picked us up from the airport and stopped to see us before we left! Our safari guide Noel was great as well! He guided us to finding two leopards, 5 cheetahs, so many lions, as well as all of the big 5! We had an amazing time and would book with Destiny again!
