Worth every penny. Great Safari.
Paul is very responsive to all our needs. Our flight was delayed and luggage was lost but Rambles Africa sorted it all out.
John Masek was our safari guide. A proper Masai who know the Mara and Amboseli like the back of his hand. Drove us right into the action. We saw all big 5 in one day, we followed the wildabeast and zebra migration. We saw amazing panromic views with so much wildlife ( take binoculars or good lens to see animals miles away).
We got up within meters of lions, cheetahs, massive elephants…

Fantastic safari tour
unforgettable 9 day tour of 6 parks/reserves - well worth the money
Paul was very responsive in setting everything up and organising some breathtaking lodges, some with spectacular views of watering holes where all the animals meet.
Our guide was Berry Gordonne Ortieno who has 20 years experience as a safari driver and guide. He was able to drive us right into the action to see the animals very close up. We saw all big 5 on the first day, including a cheetah hunting a gazelle. We have some fantastic pictures and made some wonderful memories.

Responsive
I dealt with Paul and he was very responsive. I booked quite late (1 month) and so struggled with accommodation options. I asked for guidance between somewhere outside the mara or inside (the Lorian camp- somewhere I had found on google) and he has suggested that the one I found may be better in terms of luxury and being inside the mara and getting an extra game drive in the morning as we were travelling out. Unfortunately the camp was basic and the extra game drive did not happen as that camp was so far from the gate and you have to keep the windows up, we had to rush out without seeing a thing. I fed back our disappointment to Paul and he took this well. Overall Paul and the driver were very reliable and had excellent communication.

An Unforgettable Safari Experience with Excellent Service!
Our safari experience with Ramble Africa Safaris was truly outstanding! Our driver was incredibly friendly, making the entire journey enjoyable and comfortable. Thanks to his expertise, I had the chance to see many of the animals I had been hoping for, which made the trip even more special.
Additionally, Paul provided excellent communication throughout the entire process. His responses were always prompt, ensuring that all my questions and concerns were addressed immediately. His professionalism and attentiveness made the experience smooth and stress-free.
I highly recommend Ramble Africa Safaris to anyone looking for a reliable and well-organized safari adventure. Thank you for an unforgettable trip!
It was a wonderful experience and the operators provided great itinerary and service
Visit both Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha if you have time.

Stand-out, bespoke and amazing safari!
Ramble Safaris - locally owned and operated from Nairobi- is an amazing, not-to-miss operator. Paul, the owner and his small team are attentive, caring and communicative. They went above and beyond our expectations for an amazing and tailored safari for our family (including a 15 yo). Paul worked with me to select a bespoke 6 day and 5 night safari that met our needs and at a competitive price-point. He worked with me to upgrade our accommodations and gave us great, luxurious options without breaking the bank. He also worked to ensure our dietary restrictions were accommodated and communicated to all the camps. When small bumps arose, he and his team quickly responded and sorted them out, ensuring that our safari was not derailed. This included a minor medical issue for my wife before we arrived and which Paul quickly helped with as soon as we got into Nairobi. It also included picking up for us an item that we left on the plane (to ensure we did not have to worry about it when we can back after the safari to Nairobi). While Ramble Safari is a small operator in a sea of competitors, my recommendation is go local and choose them for a hands-on, tailored and amazing experience.

Professional, well-organized, and deeply experienced — delivered an exceptional experience
We booked the 8-day, 7-night safari tour and it was truly unforgettable. We saw an incredible number of animals — from lions mating, to a buffalo being taken down, to a cheetah chasing antelopes — it felt like we were inside a nature documentary.
Our driver Maurice was outstanding — experienced, calm, and with an incredible sense of direction and judgment. He always knew where to go and what to look for, and made sure we didn’t miss a single highlight.
The accommodations and meals throughout the trip were very satisfying, and everything was well-organized and comfortable.
I brought my mom to celebrate her retirement, and she couldn’t have been happier. If you’re traveling with family and want to experience the best of African wildlife, this tour is 100% worth it. Highly recommended!

Surreal and Magic
Where do I start? Let me begin from the beginning. Kenya and Masai Mara have been on our travel list for many years but every time we planned, we had to cancel it because of some reason or the other. Usually stupid reasons like time, weather, vaccination, visa etc etc but this time around, it was different.
From the word go, Ramble Africa and Paul helped us with all the details and requirements. Let me first talk about Paul. My wife and I are passionate travellers, we have travelled to more than 30 nations in the last 10 years or so and our basic assumption when interacting with people from other nations is that people are inherently good and helpful. Now, if you start with that assumption any small gesture would make you feel special but in the case of Paul, it was extraordinary. He is calm, he listens to respond and not react, he is helpful, he is responsible and then he works hard to make your plan and memorable one. So a big thank you to Paul.
Moving on, we booked a private Luxury tour by road from Nairobi to Mara and back to Nairobi. The pick-up was from our hotel in Nairobi and then a road trip. They say for any road trip to be memorable two things are critical: 1. Company and 2. Music. Well, for the company, I have married my best friend so that is usually sorted but this time we had two Masais with us: Edward ( the driver and the guide ) and Dickson (the Guide ). Both of them are nothing but godsend human beings, they made sure our trip was full of fond memories and epic pictures. Edward, now I call him Dr Bush is an outstanding off-road driver and Dickson is just humility and goodness personified. They both knew Masai Bushes like the back of their hands and they helped us witness 3 Killing: one Cheetah, One Leopard and 1 Lion Killing ( here they literally took us to the Pride dining hall). We had booked about 4-5 game drives in 4 nights along with a Village tour, bush dinner etc. Each of the activities was done with precision and love. Not once did Paul or Edward or Dickson avoided our calls or WhatsApp messages ( which is usually the case with tour operators ) neither did i ever find them bored or less on energy considering it is their everyday job. They were always happy to help and guide. We spotted so many animals that NAT GEO might be envious of me if i show them my pictures ( which i will not, these are my precious)
It only says that Ramble Africa is a product of passion: Passion for Masai Mara, Travel and Emotion to make people smile and leave Kenya with a promise to come back again and again and again.
My wife and I will always be indebted to their support and plan and cannot thank them enough for the experiences and memories we have come back with.
In a nutshell
With Ramble Africa : Masai Mara Tour : Hakuna Matata.
and Ya, Music: Edward has one of the best country music lists. hands down.
Thanks

Amazing Safari Experience
Embarking on a trip with Ramble Africa Safaris was an absolute delight! From breathtaking landscapes to captivating cultural experiences, every moment felt tailor-made for discovery. Our guide Victor was not just knowledgeable but a true storyteller, bringing each location to life. The adventure took me on an incredible journey through Maasai Mara's vast savannas, where I witnessed the mesmerizing wildlife. Lake Nakuru's vibrant birdlife left me in awe, and the majestic elephants of Amboseli against the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro created unforgettable moments. Each destination was a unique slice of East Africa's natural wonders. What sets Ramble Africa Safaris apart is their commitment to creating not just a tour but a genuine connection with the destination. It's more than a trip; it's an immersive experience that lingers in your memories. I highly recommend Ramble Africa Safaris

A Good Safari Made Better by Great People
We recently travelled with Ramble Africa Safaris and had a memorable experience overall—I’d rate it 4 out of 5.
What went well:
Both Paul and Victor were extremely responsive and supportive throughout. Victor, in particular, deserves a full 5 stars—he was not only an excellent safari guide but also incredibly kind and accommodating with our children. He handled everything with calm and care, including helping us when our daughter unexpectedly fell ill—he guided us through hospital visits and ensured we were comfortable and looked after.
The hotels were well chosen—beautifully located and surrounded by wildlife. The safaris themselves were a highlight, and Victor’s warmth and deep knowledge made them even more special. When we couldn’t travel to Amboseli as originally planned due to our daughter’s illness, Paul swiftly arranged flights for us the next day, allowing us to still enjoy that part of the trip. That kind of flexibility and service was deeply appreciated.
Where things could improve:
There were a few logistical issues that were difficult, especially with young kids:
- No one showed up to pick us up at Nairobi airport, and after a long international flight, we had to use roaming data and arrange our own Uber.
- The first day’s 7-hour drive to Masai Mara was rough, and by the time we arrived, the hotel said we were too late for lunch. Victor did his best, but it couldn’t be fixed—tough after such a long journey.
- In Naivasha, we didn’t get connecting rooms, which made things tricky as a family.
- On the drive back from Naivasha to Nairobi, we didn’t receive packed lunches—apparently because we had used them the previous day when we stayed back due to our daughter’s illness. Unfortunately, no one told us, and with no food stops on the way, it turned into a long, hangry journey. Plus, the driver (who wasn't Victor) told us to relax in the restaurant and eat, misjudging how much time we had. We took a takeaway to eat at the airport and just barely made the flight.
- None of the rooms we stayed in had air conditioning, which made a few hot afternoons and nights quite uncomfortable—this might be worth clarifying in advance, especially for families travelling with young children.
Final thoughts:
Despite these bumps, I would still recommend Ramble Africa Safaris—especially for Victor’s kindness, competence, and heart, and Paul’s responsiveness. With some improvement in logistics and clearer communication on comfort levels, this could easily become a 5-star experience.
