Truly one of the best experiences of my life
My experience with Balu Travel was incredible. Morris was wonderful about communicating and answering questions, even with a time zone difference. Everything was seamless and easy. My guide, Ephantus, is truly a gem of a person. As this was my first solo trip in Kenya, he was a warm and friendly companion for nearly 24 hours of riding in a safari van. We had great conversation, and his knowledge and appreciation for wildlife is admirable. I don't think I could have had a better experience.

Excellent driver, excellent accommodation, excellent experience.
Great value for money considering the service provided. Clear and concise communication on pick-up location. Arrived on-time and followed the itinerary with no surprises or extra costs. Accommodations all excellent with good food and great service. Driver was considerate and friendly and made sure had an unforgettable experience.

Balu Travel was amazing! Morris, I cannot say enough good things about him and how helpful he was. I searched for a long time for the right company for our tours in Nairobi. We had a party of 5 and the prices were all reasonable for our budget. Not only did Morris go above and beyond answering my numerous questions, but he was pleasant and always polite. Once the trip arrived we had great communication with our driver and Morris throughout the trip. We did 3 tours, Nairobi National Park, Lake Naivasha, and a 3 day Masai Mara safari. They were on time for every pickup and made sure we were comfortable throughout the tours. Our guide was knowledgeable and a true gem for each tour. We kept the same guide for each tour and I think that made the experience even better! He was Masai so he was extremely well versed in all the animals we saw and the surrounding areas. It was great to experience Nairobi and Masai Mara with this company! It would not be a mistake to book through this company! I hope to visit again and do a longer safari and will 100% be using this company again!

Very focused on making sure we saw all the animals we wanted to see
I had a magical experience on this safari! My accommodations were amazing and the tour was incredible. We saw all the animals I wanted to see including a cheetah and leopard, which is very rare. Truly a trip of a lifetime.

Reliable, smooth organization and great guide
We booked a 3 nights trip to Amboseli NP from Nairobi with drop off in Emali Station. Communication with Morris was easy and quick, he recommended Sopa lodge and we were very happy with that choice. Pick up was on time and our driver and guide Ephantus was just great. His van was comfortable and he is super friendly, respectful, reliable, with a lot of knowledge to share about wildlife and the park. We loved the tour and our expectations of seeing animals was exceeded (which is of course a luck but also Ephantus gave his best to make sure we'd spot as many animals as possible).

Flexible and accomodating
We were stood up by our original operator at seven in the morning. We reached out to Balu who mannaged to arrange for us to go just a few hours later. The safari was great, loved the concept with a whole day driving around masai mara with packed lunch

Very surprised, it was an unforgettable experience. Without a doubt I recommend this agency.
It has been spectacular. The route by car, the accommodation (according to the price), the food and especially the park. Without a doubt, one of the most important things is the guide you go with, and we had John Faru, a fantastic person. He has been attentive, he has tried to make us see everything and he has treated us very kindly and explained super interesting things to us. Balu highly recommended, but especially if you happen to be with John!

Great Tour Guides
This was truly a trip of a lifetime and I'll remember it forever. I think your tour guide can make a good game drive amazing and our guide made ours amazing!
Wilson was incredibly knowledgeable of all the animals. For every animal we saw he had at least one factoid about the animal and had the answers to our questions about the animals. He was excited to share what he knows about the park, animals, and Maasai culture. He made the trip more enjoyable all around.
He also worked really hard to ensure we got to see as many animals as possible. We saw multiple lions, elephants, hippos, crocodiles, giraffes and buffalos. We also saw a Cheetah and a Leppard, which I understand to be fairly rare. I noticed that Wilson was really good at predicting where the animals would go so we would not only get one view of the animals but see them move as well.
He was also a great driver - I would make sure you have a land cruiser as the road themselves are pretty bumpy but Wilson did a great job navigating the bumpy roads.

Timely communication, great logistics and an amazing guide!
I did a 3-day Amboseli NP tour staying at the Kibo Safari Camp. Everything from the initial contact with Morris to the organization of the trip and payment went very smoothly. The tour guide, Boni, was very informative, and a fellow photographer which made the entire trip even more exciting and relaxed as he would be very patient and always trying to provide the best view possible. I plan to return to Kenya in the future and would definitely take a tour with Balu again. Fully recommended!
