African Safari July 2024
We booked with Jastro Safaris a few months before travelling for our extended family of 9. Communication was via watsap. Always great at communicating and answered all my questions and tried to tailor the itinerary according to our needs. Prices were very competitive. We were met at the airport and taken to our accommodation. We stayed 2 nights in Nairobi, 4 nights in Masai Mara and 1 night in Lake Nakuru. Got to see all the big 5 animals close up which was amazing. Our driver Steve was really good and looked after us well. There were a few hiccups due to some of the bookings being done on incorrect dates (so recommend to double check this yourself before travelling) but this was rectified as best as possible. We had 9 of us in a tour van which was nice being all together but be wary unless you have very minimal luggage it may be better to split into 2 groups due to space. Overall a decent experience and the few issues that we did have we spoke to Jarred at the end and he took the feedback on board and tried to make things right.

Exciting Safari, seeing many animals and beautiful scenery
A very good trip, our designated hotel travel agency arranged everything for us, and the itinerary was also well planned. Our guide Jackson is very good. He is very familiar with the road and drives very well. His service is very good, he can arrange everything without you worrying. There is no lunch in Massamara and Amboseli, so he prepares boxed meals for us in the morning and packs his luggage in advance.

Flexible and easy to customize your trip

I was not picked up at the Nairobi Airport as promised. They did not have me stay in proper lodgings as promised.

Good but can be better
Driver Dickson is good and helpful, however the plan was not well organized and time was wasted. Suggest you to double confirm all the schedule before the trip.

Outstanding Kenya Safari experience!
Our Kenya safari with Jastro safari was incredible. The 7 days itinerary was perfectly balanced, allowing us to see variety of animals and immerse ourselves in breathtaking landscapes. Our guide was not only knowledgeable but also passionate about wildlife and local culture, adding so much depth to our experience. The accommodations were comfortable and authentic and provided nourishing food.
What impressed me about Jastro safari is their commitment and dedication to make the safari an amazing experience. They were quick to respond to our questions and to cater to our requests. Highly recommend for an unforgettable adventure!

Amazing and adventurous safari tour
I opted for Jastro Safaris for my adventure safari in Kenya. I must admit that I had a very good experience with Jastro. Mr. Victor of Jastro, a kind personality, gave all support and guidance for my visit. It was 7 days luxury tour to Masai Mara, Nakuru and Amboseli. All three places were fantastic, but Masai Mara was the best.
My tour guide Mr. Leyian was very supportive and he ensured that I am happy at all moments of the safari. I saw all Big 5 of Masai Mara. I got a great Masai friend.
I recommend Jastro Safaris to those who wish to take up this adventurous tour. Very reliable, good communication but bit expensive.

A Poor travel experience
We had a total of six nights, and the hotel was changed three times in the last few hours before departure. The promised room was bad and no refund was given. The morning tour and lunch included in the quotation on the last day were not provided. The driver and guide was okay, but he kept making phone calls while driving, at least ten times a day, which was very unsafe for both him and us.

1. You were notified earlier about all the changes of the hotels right before you got into the country, so your claim is malice. These hotels were Sentrim to Penety at Amboseli for only 1 night and Naivasha Sopa to Lake Naivasha resort for only 1 night too, and their STO rates served to us are the same.
2. You were too harsh to the tour guide claiming that you were also tour guides back in your country. The guide made several calls to inform the office about this, and the office reached back to you and you apologized. How was the supposed to work efficiently and you did not give room for this.
3. You were demanding for the morning game drivers and you only booked the hotels that were located outside the parks, that was not possible and you did not want to hear that.
We kindly request you to note the importance of proper communication and patience during execution of the safari. There may have been little hiccups during your safari and were were in a position to solve them if you could have given us that chance.
